I needed a light-hearted read after reading so many heavy suspense reads; they can really put a drain on my mind.

This was cute and just what I needed (and bonus: it fit the theme for Valentine's Day too because it has hearts on the cover).

The stories were cute and fun, with a side of corn(y).

Note: This was a book for my Read Harder Challenge 2019 #4 A humor book

This book should be titled Humor for A Woman’s Heart Who Has Had Children. I would say 60-75% of the stories in this book were related to women as mothers, which I am not. I found the stories cute, but not very funny. Most were very Christian oriented and it felt like I was reading a book length Reader’s Digest. I am giving it three stars as it fits the bill for the audience it is intended for.

I really need to read synopsis when I am picking books for my challenges.

Laughter is the best medicine. My sister-in-law gave this to me while I was going through a tough time medically. It is a bunch of short stories. And many of them made me laugh out loud so hard that I briefly forgot my personal pain. I do agree with another review that this is a good book to read in between a heavier book. Take a moment to laugh, I guarantee you will be able to relate to at least one of the stories.

Like many collections, the offerings in this book are varied. Some are quite humorous, while others are not. It has chapters on parenting, kids, spouses, decorating, homes, families, and more. The book will definitely make you smile, and perhaps even chuckle at times. And likely, you will identify with what the writer says, even if it only applies to someone you know. Because the articles are short, you can read as much or as little as you time for and come back to it when you wish. And for busy women, that can be a blessing of its own.

What a fun book to read! It was definitely very humorous and a fun read! The authors were mothers talking about life in their families. Fun read!

This is an older book, so some of the references are dated, but the humor carries through and makes for a fun read.

A very light read, funny stories from women of all ages. There were fewer laughs the longer I read the book, but still good. Freebie from the library.

This was a book of chapters, each written by different people (mostly women), be it a comic, an author, a preacher's wife, etc.... It's base is humor from a Mother's perspective (with a Christian/Biblical slant). I was not expecting it to be a Christian themed book (refered to God alot and scripture) as I am not a Christian anymore. If I had known that I probably wouldn't have picked it up, but after reading it I'm glad I did. I enjoyed it. It was funny, honest, and a bit heartbreaking in some chapters. A quick and easy read (though emotional in parts). I would classify this as a "Summer read" for those of us who will be or are moms. :) 3 Stars!

Humor for a Woman's Heart is a collection of short, nonfiction stories. The stories are separated into categories/chapters. At the beginning of each chapter you will find a quote. Most of the stores are written by women, but there are a few by men as well.

I enjoyed this book and laughed as I read each story. I laughed the hardest as I read the stories written by Mark Lowry.

This book is one I would recommend reading, especially you could use a few good laughs.

Just a bunch of short stories. I needed something to make me laugh after reading a bunch of books from the spider queen series. Dude...talk about feeling emo and drow-like.

This was a quick light read. It reminded me of the Chicken Soup books but not sad, just fun stories.
