3.5 stars. I liked it. It was sweet, sexy, and - BONUS - free. Fireman Jax's visceral reactions to Kennedy were awesome and possessive without being overly caveman or brainless.

My first foray into Amber Lin's writing, but it won't be my last. She has a lovely way of weaving words into beautiful and flowing imagery. I really loved her voice.
This was super short, and I think that's where my only problem came in. There was too much of an insta-connection for me. Other than that little tidbit, I enjoyed this piece.

3.5 Sweet Valentine's Kisses
Lots of palpable tension between Kennedy and Jax. Enjoyable brief moments of banter. A quick read to fulfill your fireman fantasies. Sweet, sexy, and FREE! Now that's a nice treat. :)

I LOVED this short story - picked it up because it was a Valentine's read!
I want it to continue and find out what the date was like! I also would love to know what was in each of their pasts.

Kennedy James is alone on Valentine's Day. When a fire breaks out during the night, sexy fireman Jax is there to save her. Both feel an instant attraction. Upon being released from the hospital, Kennedy seeks out Jax at the fire station. Naughtiness ensues.
Amber Lin crafts a nice short story and manages to give depth to the characters. Not easily done in so few words.

Perhaps a 3.5 - but mainly just because I usually don't love short stories. This was a lovely, quick read with a nice balance.
