Since graduating with degrees in history and political science 20 years ago, Greg Walters has dealt with historical material almost daily as a history teacher. This is the sixth book in the Alaburg series. Bryn is still fighting the Vonneynn with all his friends except Flixx. Did the flames consume him and does Bryn see his friend in the flames? This was not my favorite book but I did enjoy reading the continued exploits and challenges Bryn and his group of friends. I would recommend it and wait to read the 7th book.

Erneut ein spannender Teil der Farbseher Saga! Auch wenn es schon lange her ist, seit ich den Vorgänger gelesen habe, konnte ich mich schnell wieder an die Handlung erinnern. Es war ein spannendes Buch und nach dem Ende warte ich ungeduldig auf den nächsten Band.

Pausenloses Bodyshaming

Obwohl Filixx (der Zwergelbe) ein sehr mächtiger Zauberer und ausgezeichneter Koch ist wird er von „seinen besten Freunden“ ständig mit abwertenden Äusserungen über sein Äusseres konfrontiert und vom Autor nur darauf reduziert. Beispiele: der Dicke, Dickerchen, seine dickliche Hand, fett, reichlich übergewichtig etc. Als er abnehmen möchte, wird er dafür verhöhnt. Als er bis kurz vor den Tod gefoltert wird, ist er dadurch Zitat „deutlich erschlankt“.

Irgendwann wird es unerträglich. Richtig widerlich, extem toxisch, nicht zeitgemäss und kein geeigneter Lesestoff für Jugendliche oder junge Erwachsene.
