Incredibly creative, different vantage points are woven together into one cohesive theme about discovering God's true nature and him being worthy of our worship.
I was given this book as a gift by someone who thought I might find it interesting. I did. However, while there were definitely parts that I could readily identify with (such as most of the sections written by Java Boy, a coffee lover), other parts I found much more difficult to relate to, particularly those of a more artistic and expressive nature because these characteristics are not abundant in me. Nevertheless, the book provided valuable exposure to the diversity of what it means to worship.
Read this while I was questioning things concerning church and "worship". While it is written uniquely, the main point of democratizing the act of musical praise is needed. It's a great tool to open up discussion of the "democratization" of every aspect of the Body.
As for practical song-writing help, it is encouraging in its simplicity. Focuses on expressing to your Creator rather than crafting a catchy hit.
