Upon entering high school, Jenna must choose between remaining true to her crush on actor Orlando Bloom or the possibility of first love with the new boy in town, football star Will Addison. Original.
This book should be preserved as a historical document about life in the early 2000s. It made me nostalgic for a life I’ve never lived lmao. But Maroon 5 being referred to as something cool kills me
I've read this book in swedish, and I don't know if it's just very poorly translated or if it's actually that badly written. In swedish, however, this book isn't good. The language is bad, it contains both bad grammar and just overall boring non-descriptive language. I can't tell if this is due to the translation or if it's actually written that way by Kassy Tayler in the first place.
The story of this book is very cliché, it's pretty much like High School Musical (without the singing) or any other High School romance novel. So I think this book has a lot of flaws, probably more flaws than strengths really, and because of this I can't really tell why I love this book so much. I know it's a pretty crappy book and I've read so many books that are better than this one, and yet I keep coming back to it. When I'm feeling a bit sad or just don't know what to read, this book is the one that I pick up, because it makes me feel home and happy. It's weird, but I think this is the book that I've read the most times. And I'll probably read it again and again.
So this book is probably not worthy of three stars, it shouldn't get more than two, really, but a part of me wants to give it four or five, because it's so cute and I like it so much, so I'll give it three stars.
Gosh, I really loved this book. :D It's one of those books I go back and read over and over, again, just because it's so cute. And there is that tiny little detail about also being obsessed with Orlando Bloom....;D
I remember reading this when I was like 12 and I loved this book because I too was in love with Orlando Bloom. This book is so cheesy and so good that I often find myself thinking back to this book with fondness.
I read this when I was 13 and I remember liking it. I'd like to revisit it and see if I still think it's as cute as I thought back then. What I remember most is that it was better than I expected.
Kassy Tayler really has a great voice for the YA market! I liked the believable 14-year-old-ness of her characters. It was fun without being too didactic, but still had good pieces of morals running throughout. Enjoyable, even though I'm an old coot! :-)
