The best-selling author of Then Sings My Soul offers an inspirational reflection on the diverse images and roles of Jesus Christ--including teacher, healer, and miracle worker--and their implications in our lives, in a volume of devotions that also includes complementary poetry and hymns. 50,000 first printing.
I was pretty disappointed with this book. I assumed it wouldn't be good for doctrine and was right. However, he fell into the all too common trap of Christian writers, quantity over quality. He had less than 2 pages of writing for each name of God so it barely scratched the surface for many of these. Also he chose to go with names that are pretty much the same just repeated rather than take more time or go into some of the actual Hebrew names for God. I gave it two stars because there were some points that I was able to pull out of it and some names that I hadn't thought of before.
