Karen Pryor was an American author who specialized in behavioral psychology and marine mammal biology. She was the founder and proponent of clicker training. She was formerly a Marine Mammal Commissioner to the U.S. government.
This book was kind of disappointing. This is a collection of papers and essays written by Karen Pryor. I believed it was going to be more about training. Most of it is but some of it is about her book "nursing you baby". There are a few other subjects mentioned that don't involve training or dolphins or anything I am interested in. I think I was disappointed mostly by the fact that it was not what I thought it was going to be. Everything was informative but not something I would have read other wise. My advice is read it but skip the stuff you dont' wanna read. You won't lose any of the value of the book and you will be kept from boredom. You can easliy do this without getting confused or missing anything.
somewhat repetitive of her other books, but still worth the read. Lots of dolphin stuff. Gives you a pretty good timeline of the autobiography of her career. Frustratingly, she alludes to her two sets of parents -- without explaining why she had two sets of parents.
