Obviously, I'm not the target age for this. I found it in an op shop for $2 and thought my niece, who turns 9 soon, might like it. I thought I'd read it first, to make sure it was appropriate. There's nothing objectionable here, although being part 3 in a series of four books, not much made sense and nothing is resolved!
The three main characters, Robecca, Rochelle and Venus, want to find their school's missing headmistress, but uncover a secret society that believes some monsters are better than others, whereas they've been raised to believe all monsters are equal. Shades of Animal Farm! It's not a bad plot, really. But the three girls chatter inanely among themselves too much for the plot to really move anywhere.
This ends on a cliffhanger, presumably to lead into book 4, but unless I locate book 4 in an op shop somewhere, I'll be unlikely to read it!

Loved it just like I liked the other two books. This book had a lot of mystery. I liked it when they met the new ghoul in the attic and become friends with her. My favorite part was probably when they became friends with the ghoul in the attic. She is sooooo cool. The endings always leave me hanging. They always make me wish the next book was out. They are such page turners. All I know for shure is I hope Gitty Daneshvari gets the fourth book out soon or make a fourth book.

For a book directed at younger readers, the words were very big, grown up i suppose. Its good for expanding your child's vocabulary while also giving them an enjoyable experience. Also its funny because the three main characters are my favourite characters from when I was younger! Its perfect! But it was a 8/10 for me. Enjoyable, not my favourite but I would definitely get the next book!

I am slightly disappointed. This book was good, yes it was. But sadly it was just like the second book, cut off in the middle of the story. However in this story it is even more so. We get to the alarm and bang story over. So yeah, that makes me reduce 1 star.
The characters were once again really fun and interesting. I loved Rochelle and her whole I have to tell the truth at any time, no matter if it is appropriate or not.
Robecca, well I am still hoping see and Cy will get together, they would make a cute couple.
Venus, well I hope she learns to deal with her attitude a bit. She is a fun girl, but I am just sad that she is always so fierce and all about nature and such. It gets a bit boring, and also silly to see someone snap at people because they used 1 thing too much.
We also have a new character, who is a spider girl. I really liked her, though I am kind of curious as to what her story is. Why is she here? Who is she working for? Does she know more?
I do hope the whole headmistress is missing thing gets solved in the next book, and I hope we then get to have just normal stories. It would be a shame if this series was just about one thing. :(

I’m so mad! This book was the least interesting and had so many chances to wrap this up but didn’t just to have another book. Also can you tell I’m not a fan of cliff hangers lol

Robecca, Venus, and Rochelle head to the attic to confront the spider ghoul in the attic. There have been notes of an anonymous “them”. A zombie has delivered a note that Mrs. Bloodgood has been kidnapped by normies and they won’t return her until a wall is build around Salem. The houls are joined by Cy. (This happened while Mrs. Flapper was throwing a talent show). That’s when they found out from Spectra there’s been a ghoul living in the attic. There have also been found dolls of doom with spider threads on them. Venus thinks she’s working with Mrs. Flapper since she was seen coming up to the attic.
She’s not there, but they’re all (especially Rochelle) blown away with the beauty of her room. Rochelle has to remind herself she *still* probably has something to do with Mrs. Bloodgood’s disappearance. Cy finds a photo addressed to Widowna. It tells her never forget where she comes from or who she serves. So, they decide to finish their search quickly and get out of there before they’re caught. They check under the rug and Venus gets one of her arms stuck. They hear the sounds of someone approaching. Rochelle helps free Venus and they notice a bunch of papers in a crawl space. But there isn’t time. Venus uses her I-Coffin to snap photos. It’s too late Winowna is now in the room. Venus is about to announce they’re there but Rochelle hides them behind the curtains. Winowna calls out to them but not where., but she’s just been looking for her pet. Whom she finds (a fly). The fly is shaking and she asks it if Mrs. Flapper stopped by. It scares her pet. She then begins to make it pajam (which she makes for it every night). Then then get into the hammock to sleep. They have to wait until they can join their friends back downstairs.
When they meet back up with Cy and Robecca, Venus and Rochelle tell them what they learned.The superintendents make an announcement aht everything is being done for their safety and they won’t let the normies intimate them. T’Sumi is put in charge in Bloodgood’s absence. Mrs. T’Sunami tells them in private she knows normies after having spent some time with them and they usually solve things with lawsuits. Not kidnapping. They need to keep their eyes and ears open. (And their mouths shut). They go to check the photos but they’re blurred beyond recognition. Robecca faints. When she comes to she told them she saw a name. She says she saw a document on the photo with her fathers name, Mr. D’Nile, Ghoulia’s mother,and Clawdine’s parents, Mrs. Bloodgood, Mr. Stem, Duece’s mom, and Draculaura’s father. Mr.Stem and Mrs. Bloodgood’s names are crossed out.
They all try to go back to their rooms, but Lagonna tells them they have an emergency Frightingale Meeting. At the meeting, they cancel their community service project (Scare and Care) and Clawdeen has designed special T-shirts for them to wear to honr her. Robecca, Rochelle, and Venus decide to talk to the parents on the list.
After a school’s peop rally (that cheers everyone up). Robecca gets invited over to Duece’s to steam his mohawk. Venus tries to use her pollens of persuasion on Cleo but it instead gets on Hoodu. Robecca and Rochelle have it easier getting invites to Draculauras, Ghoulia, Frankie’s, and Clawdeen’s home. Later, they try the attic again. This time they bring their pets. Venus hopes Chewy will distract (hopefully not eat) the fly, But The only thing they seem to find is a beautiful jacket made by Winona thrown on the floor.
Neither of the ghoul’s parents say they know anything about list, but its apparent they all know something more than what they’re saying.Mrs. Gorgon mutters how strange it is that Ramses name isn’t on the list, but then pretends she said nothing. Then she kicks them out. (Even tho they were supposed to be going to see Duece, he texts Medusa and tells her Cleo held him up).
There weeks pass and there’s no word of MRs. Bloodgood.Rochelle finds out from Duece at school that his mom was whispering on the phone to someone about them being a part of a society that was trying to get information out of her. (Interestingly Mrs. Flapper appears behind them). Rochelle passes this news on to the others. They discuss what society she could mean. They asks theier teacher and he says there was the Society of Fearless Werewolves . Then he says there’s one but he doesn’t doesn’t like to go by rumors. He says there’s one that believes in a hierchy of monsters in the Boo world. At school, they notice Mrs. Flapper looking disheveled and find out from her a normie tried to kidnap her. They ask could it be they just wanted to talk to her, but she says no. Venus says it’s bull. They all decide to visit the secret cryptbrary to see if they can find anything on the secret society.
The book is chained to the wall. After a few hours they still haven’t found anything. Maybe it was just a rumor. As she’s about to close the book she sees the name ASA. At lunch, Opereta rides in on Nightmar and gives a concert to uplift the students. In the attic, they find Mrs. Flappers torn dress. They also find a note that there will be a meeting at twelve the next night.
On picture day, the Trolls tell that they say the girls in the attic. Venus says they were in the attic stairwell but they didn’t steal anything. Mrs. Tsumi wants to know what they were doing there. They tell her they were there because Penny ran away. She tells them that if she catches them up there again they’ll be thrown in the dungeon. ASOME. Robecca has the thought what if it’s an acronumn Later that day (after the pictures are taken) Mrs. Flapper says she found a letter that says next time she won’t get away. None of them will until the wall is built. She says they’re going to need help to battle the normies. Rochelle asks to see the letter but she says she already gave it to Scare It Fred. Venus says she’s making sure everyone is scared and they need to find out what she’s planning.
They parents on the list all appear in the forest. Then a siren goes off. They all make a run for it. Scare It Fred, Petra, and a bunch of officers storm through the doors of the school. Along with them are some deputy Zombies. They see Winona handcuffed and put into the police car. The cars pull away and the Mrs. TSumi says the photogragher caught sight of eyes in the attic and the police were called. She then sends them to their rooms. Mrs. Flapper catches them and asks what they’re doing out so late, but Venus said they went to her locker for a late night snack.
There’s a blog post from Spectra that says Wynona isn’t a normie spy. She hasn’t registered for classes because she said she was told MH wasn’t taking on any new students and she was just trying to learn. When they officially meet Wynona she confirms this and when she’s questioned that there are no text books (that the heard of in the attic) she tells them spiders have a good memory and she doesn’t need them. She says she’s from the Old World. Then she tells them she’s ok with being alone. It’s always been her and her mom Arache who was turned into a black widow by a normie. Later they admit she’s nice, but they’ll have to play nice to find out what she has to do with Mrs. Flapper. Later they overhear Mrs. Falpper telling Wynonma never forget she’s a servant and her job is to help carry out the master’s plan. She tells her it’s not her place to question the plan.
On Crack and Sheild Day, Torelia and Celo (who have been joined together the whole book) express their distrst in Wynoma but Venus, Rochelle, and Robecca take up for her. Wynona reveals she knows what the normies are planning, but they tell her they know she’s planning something. They confront her about the society. Wynona says she thought she was being sent there to help. They try to find out what she knows about ASOME and she says she can’t tell. It’s too dangerous. She tells them she won’t be able to stop them. They have no idea how long the plan has been in the making. Then there’s an announcement for all the students to report to the school (gym) for a lockdown.
My Thoughts
I don’t know why my mind kept trying to confuse this character (Wydowna). At first, in my head I was seeing Opereta (and I know good and well Opereta isn’t a spider). Then I was seeing Catty Noir. I guess by the introduction of this set of characters my interest in MH was probably slowing decreasing. Although I did have the Venus doll (probably honestly one of the last I’d collected along with Jina Fire). There really wasn’t a whole lot I thought about this one. I kinda of rolled my eyes when the wall kept getting mentioned. Reminded me too much of talk of another wall that was supposed to keep people out. Hmm. I am curious about the secret organization and what the parents have to do with it.

Similar in style to the second book, this one continues the theme of not much happening and ending on a cliffhanger to get the reader to continue the series.
While I enjoyed the plot of the first book, the second and third have been very drawn out and don't seem to go anywhere. There is a lot of filler with awkward dialogue and odd scenes that don't relate to any of the plots. These in themselves aren't bad, but it becomes frustrating when they are added at the expense of plot continuation.
I am looking forward to the final book because the story is actually interesting and I would like to see how it is resolved; it is just disappointing they chose to drag this out into a four-book series. It really should have been done in two, perhaps three books at the most. The more inane conversations thrown in, the more redundant and irritating the characters become and the less enjoyable the series is.
Still, the story is interesting and I enjoyed the developments in the overall plot despite how slowly they progress. As with the other books, the physical formatting is gorgeous and I especially enjoyed the pattern on the endpages of this one.
Hoping the final resolution is satisfying in the last book.

As a fan of Monster High, I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t my favourite book by any means, but it was enjoyable; however, in terms of the age group this book is intended for, it is a fantastic book. The storyline is one that will catch young readers attention and give them something they can sink their teeth into. The book had a few spelling errors in some of the words and names which are reinvented to fit into the world of Monster High, however, the grammar was well done, with sentences that were easy to follow and understand. Also commendable is the use of words that I would not expect to see in the typical novel for young readers: providing young readers with a chance to learn new words and expand their vocabulary. All in all, I would recommend this book for both young readers and Monster High fans alike.

Ghoulfriends Who's That Ghoulfriend is an okay book!I have reviewed the first two books of the series and explained how I do not enjoy them as much as I did when I was younger.But I decided to continue with the series since I am on the third book out of 4 in the collection.My opinion for the series over all has still not changed since my last reviews about them and I still recommend these books to kids in elementary school. The book is still a fantasy since they are monsters and I can still reflect to why I think I liked the book when I was in about 2nd grade.

This was another wonderful read. I am glad that I finally finished the books. But sad that I forgot how the series ended. But I do know that it was a good read all the way through. But this book series is amazing for young readers who loves the Monster High books.
I do love the story telling she does and wish she wrote another set of these books.

These little ghoulies at Monster High are so precious and I love reading about their adventures. It ended on yet another cliffhanger but I still enjoyed myself. I'm impressed by the vocabulary and extensive monster puns in the book. This book featured many of the prominent monster figures and alluded to a conspiracy that involved Dracula, Mummy, Frankenstein, Wolfman, Ghoul, and my favorite Medusa. It was delightful and I'm looking forward to eventually reading the fourth book to better understand the spider girl, Wydowna Spider, who has six arms. Spooktacular!

I noticed this beauty while watching the Monster High movie Haunted and she only had three lines of dialogue. She had an Irish accent and I had to immediately look her up in the MH encyclopedia. She is an Irish banshee who dresses like a 60's Bond girl with all-white eyes. She is the coolest and I wish she was more prominent in the series. She is BFFs with Voodoo Hoodude and I need her in every movie. She was briefly mentioned in the Track and Scream event in the final chapter. She's a banging banshee and I will petition for her appearance!
Medusa
Medusa is the mother of probably my favorite Monster High babe, Deuce Gorgon. This snake-haired lady came off as such a rock star in this book. She gave off major cool vibes and was very kind to the ghoulfriends. She seems like a nice mom and I loved her brief involvement in helping them try to unravel the conspiracy of the OG monsters.
I don't recall any other monsters that popped out in my mind that I haven't already mentioned. I didn't read the first book and don't get the deal with the strange dragon lady. It isn't relevant and I want to know how the final book ends. These books are beautifully made with the illustrations, decorations, and sturdy hardback. These books are precious and I'm happy that I finally gave them a chance.

I decided to read MONSTER HIGH: Ghoulfriends - Who's That Ghoulfriend? by Gitty Daneshvari & Darko Dordevic (Vol. 3) because I'm a big fan of the original Monster High web-series/films/dolls (2010-2016) and I wanted to find out what was going to happen next from the last book! I love Monster High because it's a show/films about the son's and daughter's of the original horror movie monsters (for example Clawdeen Wolf Daughter of the Wolf Man/Werewolf) and their life/un-life during high school years.
I really loved this book because it was focused on characters that aren't the big main characters of the whole series; Rochelle Goyle (Daughter of the Gargoyle), Venus McFlytrap (Daughter of the Plant Monster) & Robecca Steam (Daughter of a Mad Scientist/She's a steampunk robot). The book takes place right after Headmistress Bloodgood went missing during the Hex Factor Talon Show at Monster High in the last book "MONSTER HIGH: Ghoulfriends Just Want To Have Fun". This book was sure a page turner because the storyline keeps you engage & wanting more because more strange stuff start to happen & unveil. Venus, Robecca, & Rochelle start their investigation to find Headmistress Bloodgood and why there are weird notes with spiderwebs on them. They find out there is a spider girl named Wydowna who might be teamed up with the mysterious Miss Flapper and behind the disappearance of Monster High's Headmistress and the parents of some of the student monsters might be connected too by the new clues that the ghouls (girls) find; Monster High or all monster alike might be in more danger than before! Also the art inside the book by Darko Dordevic is very beautiful and help visualize scenes that happen throughout each chapter. MONSTER HIGH: Ghoulfriends - Who's That Ghoulfriend? by Gitty Daneshvari & Darko Dordevic (Vol. 3) is a fangtastic (fantastic) book to read and it will keep you what's going to happen! I'll re-read this book series more than once and I can't wait for what Monster High: Ghoulfriends 'til The End (Vol.4) will have instore for me and how the series ends! I will recommend this book to Monster High fans, people who are into monsters/paranormal, and young/early teens/Middle Grade!

Mám ráda Ever After High a protože světy pohádek a příšer existují paralelně, tak jsem se chtěla dozvědět i něco o minulosti světa Monster High.
Velké písmo, jednoduchá slova a dost předvídatelné situace způsobí, že za den zhltnete klidně dvě. (Možná i víc. Já se do 3. dílu pustila až odpoledne a s přestávkami jsem čtyřku dočetla před desátou večer.)
Co se potomků nebo mladších sourozenců týče, kniha je naprosto nezávadná. Obsahuje klasické prvky literatury pro mládež jako je zaláskovanost nebo přátelství s tím, že to lehce zaonačí ve smyslu, že i když zamilovanost pomine a ten hezoun chodí s jinou, tak nenastane konec světa, člověk v pohodě žije dál a může s tím druhým bez problémů kamarádit.
Pravda, občas jsou na sebe ghúlky trochu tvrdé. A to nejen ty klasické archetypy nesnesitelné včelí královny. Postavy v knihách Ever After High mi přijdou, že se k sobě chovají ještě vstřícněji. Ovšem tady se možná hlásí moje přecitlivělost a někdo by mohl říct, že každá kniha, kde mládež nekouří, neplýtvá sprostými slovy a nemuchlá se, je o nepřirozeně se chovajících mladých lidech. V tomhle případě příšerách.

This series of books is not like the original series. The fact that it concentrates on three ghouls that are not 'lead' characters is understandable. The problem is that the series is seeming to becoming one that is very, very serious in nature.
The head of the school is still missing, and one of the teachers could be involved in that. Robecca, Roberta and Venus are trying to figure out what has happened. Right off, though, they have to deal with the problem of a spider goblin in its own room.
Miss Flapper, the suspect teacher, seems to want to stir up hatred against the "normies" about whom various rumors are going on, including one that they intend to build a wall around the school to totally separate the ghouls from the normies.
The parents seem to know something, but won't let the students in on whatever it is that they know. A couple of the ghouls like Miss Flapper and it seems it's going to be a major uphill battle to figure out just what is happened and just why it is happening.

This has been my favorite of the Ghoulfriends books so far. For the targeted age group this had some pretty serious stuff in it honestly. I loved all the characters and getting to meet some of the main characters parents was extremely fun! I also thought this book had a ton of action and excitement. I'm really curious as to how the series is going to end!! For fans of the dolls or movies this continues to be a cute and extremely fast read and I highly recommend to anybody who likes Monster High. Deuce Gorgon was especially hilarious in this one I thought!!

Monster High Who's That Ghoulfriends? by Gitty Daneshvari is a good book. This book is about these spider webs that are coming out of nowhere, and three friends want to know who the monster in the attic is. They look for answers to find out the mystery of the missing headmistress. I like this book because it is kind of a mystery type of book, and I recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries and monster High.

what i thought of this book was i liked it.it was a good book to read.this book is about these ghouls Venus.Robecca,and Rochelle who are lurking for answers and uncover big secrets during their investigation to solve the mystery of the missing headmistress.if you want to find the answers to the mysery of missing headmistress then you got to read and find out.

This book is ok, it is definitely not better than the second book of the series. When some of the ghoulfriends find someone hiding in the attic of Monster High they try to find answers. What happened to the missing headmistress. As they get further into the investigation they think that this started long ago. I recommend this book to anyone who has read the other books own the series.
