Why do they call Keith Winnick "The Bullet"? Is it because he's the most dangerous thing on two legs in the pretend world of pro wrestling? Is it because his punches are faster than a shot from a stolen gun?
Or is it because of the murder attached to his name from his days in the ring?
From the pages of DEATH MATCH comes ONE BULLET, TWO SHOTS: two stories of Keith "The Bullet" Winnick on his road to glory in the squared circle, and the hideous price he paid.
BONUS! You also get the first chapter of the novel DEATH MATCH, where The Bullet first appeared, and where his adventures continue alongside trouble-magnet Spar Battersea.
ONE BULLET, TWO SHOTS is a great way to introduce yourself to the Spar Battersea thrillers DEATH MATCH and CON JOB, available now for kindle!
Jason S. Ridler is a professional writer and historian. His novel DEATH MATCH, the first Spar Battersea thriller, set in the madcap world of pro wrestling, is available at Amazon! Sex, drugs and headlocks, oh my!
Doc Ridler has also published over forty short stories in such magazines and anthologies as Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Brain Harvest, Not One of Us, Chilling Tales, Tesseracts Thirteen, and more. His popular non-fiction has appeared in Clarkesworld, Dark Scribe, and the Internet Review of Science Fiction. A former punk rock musician and cemetery groundskeeper, Mr. Ridler holds a Ph.D. in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada and lives in Northern California with his wife, two dogs, and two parrots.
Another great story from Ridler. The Bullet comes back for a double shot of shorts and is better than ever. Both stories are eloquently written and Ridler dives into the ideals and realities of being a hero. Whether that might be hard for some guys like Keith "The Bullet" Winnick or not, we find it's the gusto that really makes it count. And even though wrestling might not sound like your cup of tea, the action takes you to another place where you will forget all of your reservations entirely.
