Alex Cook has done it once again, and this book was just as funny as the first! As the story progresses with George and John on the search for Kate, they fall into several situations that had me laughing out loud! I have to say the break-in scene was by far my favorite. I can NOT wait for the third in this series!!

I have read the first book (Fifty Seven Shades of Shit: Rude Awakening) in this series and loved it, it was so funny. So when I was offered Dysfunctional Debauchery for review I jumped at the chance.

And oh Alex didn’t disappoint me if anything I found this story funnier. The story continues from book one and Poor George I do feel sorry for him nothing seems to go right.

The relationship he has with his next door neighbour John is hilarious and the conversations they have are so funny and so typically male, I thought I was going to pee myself at one scene in the sex shop. One of my favourite quotes between them is. ”What do we do if a Samurai sword-wielding Japanese Ninja robs the sex shop while we’re in it and declares that he is going to kill everyone in sight unless we hand over the nipple creams?

Alex got me hooked within the first couple of pages if you have kids and they ask you a sexual Question well how George handled that made me chuckle, oh how us Parents lie to our kids. ;)

When George and John end up confronting Rick about what he is up to with Kate. They are shocked at what they find when they break into Rick's house and can't get out of there fast enough.Once again this is a laugh out loud moment.

George has plans for Kate when she gets home and after watching porn with John and a very funny fight scene between them both which include sex toys being thrown around, Kate finally comes home but she’s not alone.

The scenes that follow this had me in stitches from a Father in law who doesn’t like him to a cousin who is damn right crazy, what ends up on the table as food is dished up made me laugh so hard.

OMG I feel so sorry for George, all he wants to do is show Kate how much he loves her but her family get in the way yet again and when they are alone getting down and dirty it doesn’t get any better.

I love the world Alex has created with George and Kate this series just gets funnier and funnier, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next especially with that ending and Oh what an ending.

George, the hapless, would-be Dom is back along with his trusty sidekick and next- door neighbor, John. When last we left these two, George was still reeling from having a complete meltdown when he thought he'd discovered his wife's infidelity. Little did he realize the impact that a popular trilogy of racy books would have on his sex life. Believing that his wife is no longer interested in "vanilla" sex, he sets out to become the Dom of her Dreams. After not having much luck in the whips and chains area, he decides to give his wife a Valentine's Day to remember replete with toys picked up at a local sex shop. As the ball gets rolling, George believes he hits his stride in the BDSM department. However, he wasn't prepared for a little intrusion that will not only leave him embarrassed but in handcuffs!

The second installment of this story is a comedy of errors as George's attempt to give his wife some sexual healing is thwarted at every turn. Will poor George ever get to release his "inner Dom?" I loved the comical exchanges between George and John. Their trip to the sex shop was a laugh riot! I genuinely enjoyed this book. The plot and characters are well developed with John and George being two of the funniest males I've read in a long time. I only wish the book were longer. It seems that once the action got started, the story came to an abrupt end. All in all, this was a quick, fun read that will leave you anxiously awaiting the next release.

Dysfunctional Debauchery is the second book in the Fifty Shades of Shit series by Alex Cook. At the end of Rude Awakening, the first book in the Fifty Shades of Shit series, George finds his wife Kate at the airport with another man, reading the infamous series that had caused him so much trouble to begin with. Dysfunctional Debauchery takes us along with George and his asinine un-best friend Jon as they try to catch Kate red handed. From the get go you just know it’s not going to work out well for George when the shoe polish comes out and scaling walls is part of the plan. It’s all downhill from there for George with a trip to a seedy sex shop, breaking & entering, and dinner with the inlaws complete with meat tenderizing anal beads. Just when you think things couldn’t get any worse, George gives Kate just the thing she was craving and it almost works out. The end will have you laughing but feeling sorry for George. The poor guy just can’t catch a break.
If you’re looking for a quick read with characters you can easily relate to in comedic situations and enough hilarious banter to keep you laughing from start to finish, well, Dysfunctional Debauchery is the book for you! Alex Cook is quickly becoming one of my “must buy” authors and I can’t wait to see what he delivers for us in the next installment of Fifty Shades of Shit.

Alex Cook has really given us a character that has you scratching your head, and asking how else can he screw up all in the name of doing something for his wife to improve their sex life. Following the crazy plans of his non-best friend and neighbor John, leads him into even more laugh out loud trouble!!!

George thought he was doing well when he gave his wife that trilogy of books, but now he has had an incident where he thought she was cheating and he is wondering how else he can get his sex life in gear again. Their trial run at BDSM didn’t go off so hot, so he is determined to give her a BDSM Valentine’s Day gift she will not forget. To do that he has to go on a sex toy run with John and that just spells trouble. To say his good intentions blow up in his face is putting it mildly!!

This is one of those books that have you feeling just what the main character is feeling, and had me laughing so hard at the end I was bent over. Like with the first book we hit the end with quite the cliffhanger, and LAWD I can’t wait to see what happens next!! I hope y’all love this book as much as I have!!

If I thought the first book Fifty Shades of Shit: Rude Awakening by Alex Cook had me LMAO, his second book, Dysfunction Debauchery almost had me in pain from laughing hysterically. I like this Novella even better than the first one.

We continue our adventures with George and Kate, whose first try at playing BDMS didn’t work out so well. And now because of his non- friend John, George now believes that Kate is having an affair. So he is determent to win her back by giving Kate what she wants, the best Valentine’s Day gift she’ll never forget, which means a trip to the Sex Toy store. Of course he takes John with him. If I though the Barnes & Noble scene in book one was to die for, I don’t even know how to describe the sex toy scene. It was freaking hilarious!!!

I really felt like John and George stole a bunch of the scene with their crazy antics. We also meet some members of Kate’s family who help add to the madness.

The one thing I really disliked was that we were left with a major cliff hanger at the end of Dysfunction Debauchery. I don’t want to wait till Sept for book 3!!!!

For me, this book was better than the first. We get to see George crack a little more under the pressure of thinking his wife is cheating on him and all the craziness that comes from it. It had a lot of laughs as well. Again I wish that instead of making this a series, it would have (at least for me) been better as one whole book. It was like, just as it was starting to really get good for me it was over. Overall not horrible…just not 100% for me.

Did not enjoy this one at all. I guess it is not the type of book I enjoy. Besides about half way through, parts of the book went missing. There were only partial sentences. It made the book almost impossible to read.
