Chris is determined to get her in his bed, that is until he finds out she has a daughter. He has a firm never date women with children policy that he isn't willing to give into for anyone, until Eliza makes him a little wager. Lena Matthews spends her days dreaming about handsome heroes and her nights with her own personal hero. Married to her college sweetheart, she is the proud mother of two children, three evil dogs, and a mess of ants that she can't seem to get rid of.

When not writing she can be found reading, watching movies, lifting up the cushions on the couch to look for batteries for the remote control and plotting different ways to bring Buffy back on the air.

I really wanted to give this book 3.5 stars. I enjoyed it, but I did have some problems with the hero. That is why I didn't bump it up to 4 stars.

Eliza is a single mother who is stuggling to make ends meet. She is a warm and caring woman, who is a good mother and takes pride in everything she does. Her problem is she is in love with her boss, and although they flirt with one another, she knows Chris will never take it to the next level.

Chris Wilson has had a very difficult childhood. He is determined to work hard, and keep the business he and his business partner Dylan (his story is the first in the series-Call Me) are building to be a huge success. He is very attracted to Eliza, but when he finds out she is a single mother, immediately backs off. Being on his own most of his life, and practically raising his younger sister, he has vowed not to get involved with women who have children.

Eliza doesn't understand why Chris is so adamemt to get involved with her. She know deep down that if he would just let go of the demons of the past haunting him, they would be perfect together. When they are brought together in a game of poker, all bets are off. Eliza is willing to risk her everything for Chris' heart, but will he be able to do the same for her?

I had some issues with Chris. He was always honest about his feelings for women who dated children, but his stubborness made me want to throw the book at him at times. But, saying that I really did like this book. Eliza is a determined woman, and fights for what she believes in. I like a strong heroine, and Lena delievered with this book.

Warning to some readers. This book contains strong language and explict sexual situtations. If you are offended by this kind of writing, this book is not for you.

Another short, erotic read. But I have to say, I laughed out loud a few times during this installment by Lena Matthews. As a mom, there was one scene with the leading man interacting with his love interest's child that had me nodding my head and enjoying the reactions. Probably better than "Call Me" on the story development end, and maybe a little more tame on the erotic end. But this is the last book I'll read by this author. I enjoy books with a stronger storyline.

For some reason I was hesitant about this book... I actually didn't even mean to buy it. I thought I was buying the next one on Amazon but this one showed up. I guess I wasn't feeling the blurb, but let me tell you. I really really enjoyed this. There wasn't as many laughs as the first one, but the emotional stories here were off the wall amazing. I'm glad I read it. Now if only I can order the correct book.

Following up on last Saturday's Sexy Saturday review of Call Me, book two is all about Chris and Eliza. Chris is Dylan's business partner which is how these books kind of tie together. There are no sex toy shenanigans in this book. Instead, it's the delicious boss and subordinate theme. It isn't "The Secretary" movie with James Spader, but it is sweet and erotic as Chris makes a move on Eliza.

This was so Lena Matthews. I meant, the story didn't dig so deep into the root, but well, I guess this was supposed to be just entertaining one. Quick and nice.

Meet Chris, who was abusively raised by his parents, left him with evil inside and locked him up from love. And there goes Eliza, single mother sexy as hell. The story was not about how they both fall for each other, because they already were. This was about how Chris handled the evil inside him and to open up himself. The steamy sex was just a spicy to the story. This was a nice quick read. I enjoyed reading this.

2nd book in series. This story is about Chris ( Dylan's best friend and business partner) and Eliza Chris's secretary. She has been his secretary for months now and he found out shes a single mother. Because of his abused childhood he has made a no kids rule for dating. He afraid he'll end up being his father and doesn't trust himself. Eliza has had feelings for him since the day she was hired. This is their story of how the come together and solve their issues together

This was a good read but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first in the series, "Call Me". I preferred the humor and quirky characters in the first book as opposed to the characters in this book with all their angst and issues. Don't get me wrong - it was still enjoyable and well written but a lot different than "Call Me".

This was a good follow up of Chris and Eliza's story which we got a glimpse of in the 'Call Me' story.

A good story of a jaded man who's childhood still haunts him and Eliza a single Mum who won't take no for an answer. Good Read!
