I love a book that takes me far away... to time and a place when the world was filled with mystery. Throw in some humor, nonstop action, a little romance and I’m pretty much hooked. Add to that an ancient mystery and I’m yours forever… well, at least until the book is finished. Ha-ha!

Treasure of Egypt solves one of the greatest mysteries of the Ancient World, the origins of the Sphinx, as well as several misconstrued symbols. It is the culmination of years of research, poring over every book on ancient Egypt I could get my hands on in order to study the hieroglyphic symbols as well as the mythology of early Egypt.

To me, understanding their ancient beliefs, as well as their writing was not only fascinating, but essential to writing a solid book.

I have spent years as a professional artist, (please see website) but it wasn’t until a late blessing came into my life, which magically transformed my oils into finger paints, that the opportunity to finally write “that book” came.

I am blessed to have the most amazing supportive husband and family. I also have the best dog in the whole world, (see his picture in the dictionary next to “best dog ever") and his sidekick, Mr. Widdle, aka Wiz-man, whose name has been changed to protect the little bugger. Let’s just say it’s a good thing he’s cute, because he has a few problems that were worse when he first came to us. He’s getting better, but at this time nothing is safe in the yard whether it’s edible or not, and the carpet is… well, soon to be ancient history!

Second in the series, this book expands on the characters from the first book The Ghost Pirate's Treasure, adding in a couple of new ones from Greek Mythology. To truly appreciate Cupid's Love Potion do read the first book in the series as this is a series, not a standalone. Cupid's Love Potion is a paranormal fantasy, full of laughs, and a great escape from reality.

Cupid's Love Potion: Mystery of the Golden Arrow is the second book in the Paranormally Yours series by Barbara Ivie Green. While it makes reference to things in the first book, you could easily pick up here.

If you are looking for a funny romance with some Greek Mythology thrown in, this is a good choice for you.

This is book 2 in the Paranormally Yours series.
Amber Smith is the new librarian. She learns the librarian she is replacing for "medical leave" is actually in a psych hospital, something about the library's ghost driving her nuts. Then the lights in the library start flickering on and off and a row of bookshelves fall over spilling books everywhere. Stacking the books she finds a diary from before the Civil War. It was the property of Agnes Hawthorne. Amber put it in her purse and decided she had had enough excitement for the evening and leaves. But her car is missing. It wasn't much, but the Pinto was hers. She starts walking through the park and arrows whiz past her. Now what?
A tall hulk of a man named Jonathon catches the next arrow and sends it flying back to where it came from. The police come, an ambulance, and a man in diapers with a bow and arrow is arrested. Amber learns her car's plates were expired and they had towed it. She clears the ambulance check and the arrow user in the diaper disappears. So the police agree with Jonathon that Amber is not safe at her hotel, so she is taken to the local bed and breakfast. And this is just day one. Once she is at the B & B Jonathon and his relative Jacques agree to go back to her hotel room and get her cat. Her hotel room has been vandalized and the cat is crazy.
Amber is hiding from someone. And none of the people at the B & B are exactly normal. It is one crazy thing after another. Ghosts, a scientist, a vampire, a gangster, cupid, crazy cat, romance and treasure hunting - plus mythological characters.
This was a fun read.

I loved this book! Better than the first.
It continues the story of a group of friends who have come by some very extraordinary abilities. This story expands on those powers and explains how Jonathan got his power of superhuman strength. It also introduces Amber, new to the area and with a secret past. When these two run into each other (literally), there is something there that they can't explain; a connection that they feel to their core. Turns out their souls are much older than they realize and have been connected for just as long.

I really liked the expansion into Greek mythology in this story; it was a smooth transition from the first book and gave the story more depth. It of course has a happy ending! Where can the story go from here? Can't wait to find out :)

If you don't read book 1 in this series, "Treasure of the Jaguar Warrior" you'll be completely lost reading this book. You won't get some of the jokes and you'll definitely be lost in regards to the characters. Having said that, this book was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. Apparently, a third book is scheduled. I, for one, won't be reading it.

If you really want to give this author a try, I suggest reading "Treasure of Egypt." I really enjoyed that book and eagerly look forward to a sequel.

Seriously Cupid!!!!

Omg loved this story and to meet Cupid or Eros was a joy. I loved the story line and how the busy bee finally finally realized that fame was not earned off of others demise and respect was earned not demanded. Even though I usually like a spicy story this story showed me that it can be rewarding also because Ms. Green has a way of writing that is mighty sweet to the heart.

Sadly this is my first one star rating :-(
Maybe because I didn't read the first book in the series before starting in with this one, I just don't know.
I wanted to stop reading so many times, I just don't like to give up on any book but I found myself skimming near the end to get it done...sorry.
