Kiss Me

Rate this book
After a series of bad relationships, Jenna Cooper wants a sex buddy — no-strings, no emotional involvement, and absolutely no expectations of commitment. She sets her sights on Luke Sinclair. A player and commitment-phobe, he’d make the perfect boy toy. Only Luke’s tired of playing the scene and wants a serious relationship with Jenna, not a series of one-night-stands.

When Luke makes Jenna an offer she can’t refuse, the sexual tension between them combusts and their emotional chemistry becomes too hard for Jenna to ignore. They both end up with more than either bargained for, especially when Jenna’s wild past is exposed and threatens to tear their relationship apart. Now Luke will do anything to make things right between them, but knows it’s going to take more than a kiss…

I already knew where it was going when she said she was easy in the past. And unfortunately I was right. On Castle, Ryan finds out that this pick up artist dated and rated his fiancee. And instead of blowing his top, he shrugs it off. That's how a man should be about your past. It's not like either of you are virgins. If he is embarassed by you then that's never going to change. Yeah, the book has her say this as an argument, but in the end he shoots it down and says how she was always one foot out the door. All her arguments were valid for them breaking up, and I have no idea why she got back together with him.

The story was really good and fast and interesting in the beginning.
It really kept me reading it and then it kind of went quick because the characters fell in love really quick.
I mean that's okay but its just unusual in most romance books.
And I was worried that the book was just going to have pointless things the rest of the story because they already got together.
But then the fight happened and that's what i like.
I like the romance where it keeps you on your toes throughout the whole time and it's not flat or boring and then a plot twist fight/ whatever changes the book around because that's the clever way to get the reader to want to read more to find out what happens.
I like light fun flirty reads not depressing, moody, extra dramatic and old fashioned and this book was pretty good.
The ending was a bit rushed though like she just wanted to get the book over with so she threw together a quick happy ending so overall the whole story was between 3.5 and 4

I was ecstatic when I first picked up this book. After all, it's set in Cleveland (my old stompin' grounds)! I felt a great connection to the main character (Jenna), and I really wanted to like the male lead (Luke). However, the plot got pretty predictable in a hurry.

SPOILERS:
I found the ending romance process to be just a little bit over the top and cheesy. I'm a grown adult, and instead of feeling that sparkly "awwwww" feeling in my gut as I read the final "seduction" scene, I felt uneasy. I know that I would have felt overwhelmed and uncomfortable if my lover did those things for / to me, therefore I didn't reach that connection with the imagery that I had hoped I would.

Bottom line: The story was good, but the execution made me a little bit uneasy.

Really enjoyed reading this book!!!

Steamy, sexy & funny. And I love Luke but come on who doesn't?? Hes romantic & is ready to change the guy he was in the past, and settle down with the girl of his dreams. Jenna is a bit scarred from her past and doesn't want anything with strings. But can she deny she wants Luke? Hells no!

I thought it was going to feel the relationship was rushed but I didn't feel like it. Maybe because they were already friends & knew a lot about each other. hated the drama that occurred because she wasn't honest with him about her past. He was honest right from the start & of course it would've saved the heart ache if she had just told him she wasn't that much different than him..

All in all, an enjoyable read.

Loved it.. I really felt the connection with both the Luke and Jenna. I love my books to have great romance and great sex and this book delivered both. They both had past that was getting on the way of both of them committing, it wasn't until they found each other that they were able to let all that go. I would recommend this book, the only reason i did not give it more 5 stars was because it had a lot of error but my copy was free from amazon and it was the best free books i have read in a while. I will be reading her new series Pick Me. Keep up the great writing you really touched my heart with this book.

I think the Kiss Me is one of those "Meh" or "Great!" books. I found the beginning of the book hilarious, but it's because it spoke to me on more of a personal level. You have these two people that are happily married and loving life. Then you have their respective best friends that are out doing whatever with who knows who. So why not try to fix them up? If you've ever been friends with someone you might want more with, or have a friend that really likes to play match-maker, I think you can find the humor in all of this...

This was an ok book. I agree with some of the other reviews now that I have read it. I gave it a chance and tried to understand and like Jenna, but it was not easy. Luke was upfront about his past from the beginning and I loved that. Jenna, however, kept her secrets. Then once she did open up I finally started to like her she ruined it. Luke was sincere and romantic and she just wanted to jump right in bed again, no sorry, no romance. I don't know I was hoping for a little romance for him too.

Wow! That ending got me. My heart racing and troubled. You knew there would be a HEA, but how to get there, through all the angst. Powerful!

I enjoyed the story from start to finish. I always love the friends to lovers theme, but this one was good. It was great. I liked how they just clicked. I loved the importance of "just a kiss." And the way the story unfolded was priceless.

I am a new reader to Kristine Mason and will be reading her books in the future.

Not saying this was bad. It was sweet and enjoyable at times. Still I mostly felt like I've read the same story too many times already. Nothing new nor different. I skipped through parts since there were parts where nothing happened. H and h weren't my favourite persons. I didn't dislike nor like them, I felt nothing for them.

I liked the story up until the ending scenes. I wasn't sure what happened, but the author seemed to rush through the whole making up process and it was totally unbelievable and rushed. There was no payoff for his job situation after the barbeque, it was just rushed through for the last 40 or so pages. That made it loose a star for me.

I read this book because it was free. I actually found it to be a sweet story. It does seem lately most of the romance books I read, I find that The main male character is easier to like than the lady. That was the case with this story as well. I liked that got insight to their careers.

I didn't really like this book. I thought the romance moved too fast, and I really didn't like the H attitude about the h's past. It seemed like everything was okay once he found out the truth. Didn't seem too loving to me.

The book was a fun sexy quick read. I saw the twist play out before it happened but it didn't ruin the book for me. The end was rushed but it was under 180 pages so you have to expect that. Overall it was a good book and would read her other books.

Just ok for me!
Fell short of being a really good book
Things just fell in place way to easy and it all clicked into perfect place at the end.
Started with great characters and story line, but could have been developed more.

I liked this book. It was a quick fun read, and I liked Luke, except for when he decided to be a douche, but his apology was well worth it. Jenna was a little annoying, but again, I was okay with her.

3.5 stars. Good book. A lot of words combined. Need to re-edit. Was weird reading a book where the male was all in and the female wasn't.

A few typos but overall a fun and steamy story. I liked the characters, quite emotional and dramatic. It starts off a little slow but it eventually picks up and that's when it gets good.
