At the Edge of Her Memory

Rate this book
When Ryanne woke up in the hospital, she couldn't remember who she was. Even when they found her wallet with her name and address in it, the detectives couldn't find her in the system. Who was she? And why was she found so far away from a fake address?

In all the confusion, Dr. Garett Hamilton was there to make sure she would be alright. The physical attraction was felt the first moment. And as soon as he found out she's in danger, he carried her home.

And in the fire of their embrace, she found the kind of memories that would last a lifetime... if her past wouldn't catch up on her.

I am a prolific reader and a freelance writer. As a little girl, I always knew I would write romance. Growing up with a firsthand romantic experience, I expanded my preferences from just romance to romance with a dash of now trending sub-genres--paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi, and even erotica.

I love challenging myself and I would write on a dare!

Written in third person present progressive tense (actions are happening as the sentences are written: "She is opening her eyes.") I found it difficult to read smoothly since most of what I usually read is in past tense or maybe present, but not progressive.

Anyway, this story had potential, but I couldn't get past the unrealistic dialogue and character actions.

The hospital is named Paradise Cove, which is so odd and unfitting. I guess if you are writing a 50 page erotic fantasy about a doctor who would be considered ethically inappropriate in the real world and a woman who masturbates in her hospital bed, you can call the hospital whatever you like.

I could probably write more words about what was wrong than the original story had in the first place, so I'll just stop.

Good short read

I like thrillers and adding a little erotica to a story is always a good read. This story leaves you wanting to read more
