Expect the unexpected…especially when a Bradford is expecting.
A Bradford novella. Series Epilogue.
As family and friends gather to see Dooley and Morgan get married, anticipation is high—but no one saw this much excitement coming. A wedding that doubles as a baby shower, a limo that doubles as an ambulance, a hospital room that doubles as a honeymoon suite… Sure, why not? It’s a Bradford wedding, after all.
Dani’s in labor, Sam’s in a daze, Ben’s taking charge, Sara’s crying, Jessica’s got a secret, Dooley’s missing his honeymoon—in other words, things are crazy. As usual. But through it all they’ve got each other. As always.
An epilogue to the Bradford series (seriously, this is an epilogue, so keep that in mind) featuring all the couples, a wedding, a baby—or two—and donuts. Because you have to have donuts.
***THIS TITLE WAS PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED by Samhain Publishing. THIS IS A RERELEASE BY THE AUTHOR***
Erin Nicholas is the New York Times bestselling author of over thirty sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun. She loves to write about reluctant heroes, imperfect heroines and happily ever afters. She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!).
I was lucky enough to receive a early copy of Just What I Need ( The Bradford's #6) and I'm sitting here not wanting it to end. However this book perfectly ties together the previous 5 books in the series. It combines all of the reasons why I fell in love with these people in the first place.
Dooley and Morgan are ready to walk down the aisle and become man and wife, but Dani has other plans. She's gone into labor. Her and Sam have been keeping a secret however. They are expecting twins..... twin girls. Sam will never live this down. As the day passes you learn that Sara and Mac are adopting their foster son, and Sara is also pregnant having taken the test that morning, but in her typical caring self she doesn't want to take away from Morgan and Dooley. Jess is also holding her secret close. She also took a test that morning, and her and Ben are expecting baby #2. But not to be left out Kevin and Eve are rounding out the group with good news of their own too.
The story progresses and you laugh along with each of the characters, you cry along with each of them and they remind you why you are captivated by their lives in the first place.
While I will always wonder what happens years down the road I'm content and happy at how their lives are unfolding.
Thank You Erin for writing books that have driven me to read and re-read these books over and over again. They make you realize that you don't need sparkly vampires, a red room of pain or any other additions. Real life can be passionate, loving, and real friends and family truly are what makes life matter.

Sexy sweet and fun loving wedding, turned birth, turned pregnancy announcements, turned honeymoon.... it is all wild, crazy and witty banter between friends and family that are closer than any other. loved it!
I was lucky enough to win an advanced release copy of Just What I Need. I LOVED it. It was nice to get a follow up on all the guys from the Bradford series. I love the humor that Erin is able to portray in her books. To write such fun dialogue that makes the reader chuckle out loud, seems to me, would be tougher than drama filled story lines. Erin pulls it off so well!! I feel like I am sitting around my friends having a conversation. If you liked any of the Bradford Series, this is a definite read to catch up with them. When Dooley and Maggie make it their reception, they see just how thoughtful their friends are! I liked that part a lot. A BIG Thank you to Erin Nicholas for giving her fans such a treat!
This is a very cute, can you even believe it epilogue novella to the series. It has so much hilarity (and just about everything else) crammed into it! The characters of the Day Shift come together with characters of the Night Shift in a transition between the two series. It is great!
Let me state flat out straight from the author’s mouth….this book is an EPILOGUE of the Bradford series. If you haven’t read this series, you will be completely and totally lost reading this book. That’s not to say this book isn’t excellent because it doesn’t get much better than this; a SERIES epilogue. It’s the sprinkles on top of the very large, very yummy, and oh so sexy iced doughnut. If you don’t get that, read the series and you will. If you have read it, then you’ll absolutely know what I’m talking about and I’m sure you are snickering a little to yourself right now.
This book takes place at Dooley and Morgan’s wedding. It’s a special day that gets even more special when Danika goes into labor, an adoption is announced, and lots of exciting news is shared. On top of that we see that each couple is more in love today than they were when they first met. We see how much better the men we all love have become because of the women in their lives. We see how the women continue to support and love their men, no matter what. Most of all we see how this group continues to grow, thrive, and become better simply because they are together and they are a family.
This story will make you cry, it will give you a reason to give thanks, it will have you fanning yourself on several occasions, and it will absolutely make you laugh. I feel the need to thank Erin Nicholas for writing and Samhain for publishing this wonderful series epilogue. While I have adored this series from the start, I can’t help but love the place these wonderful people are in and I can’t wait to see what Erin has in store for us next!
"Miss Ruth was a lady. And a lady always knows when to leave." -- from Fried Green Tomatoes by Fannie Flagg
This is what comes to my mind when I think of the Bradford series and Just What I Need. Now, of course, it means something different for Miss Erin than Miss Ruth, but can be applied to her Bradford series. Miss Erin is a lady, and she knew it was time for the Bradfords to leave. I am left sad and happy and wondering. Sounds like a pretty amazing author to me.
As always, Erin's voice is comforting to me. I absolutely feel as though I am part of the "group" and everyone has sat me down and given me the details of their lives. I want to pull out my hot chocolate and cinnamon buns and hear it all again.
The story is set at Dooley's wedding but we quickly find out that there is a whole lot more going on with our Bradford gang. From weddings to babies to adoptions to pregnacy announcements. We are left knowing that all are truly living their happily ever after and it's time for us to say good-bye. Thank you Erin Nicholas, it was an AMAZING (and I mean AMAZING) ride.
Please understand that this is an epilogue. You will need to invest in this series to fully grasp how absolutely wonderful Just What I Need is.
Oh my goodness! I loved the story. A perfect ending to a perfect series. I read the entire thing either with a cheesy grin on my face, a laugh or a bunch of awwws! Sad to see it over, but I guess I can always read it again and again.
This novella made me fall in love with all the characters all over again. It's like watching an episode of Friends or slipping into your favorite comfortable clothes. You love each character and their stories. Wonderful writing for Erin Nicholas. I have read all her books and thoroughly enjoyed them all. And will continue to read whatever she writes. Hoping she will revisit this wonderful bunch of characters in the future!
This is the perfect closure to a fabulous series! Sometimes the last few pages in a book aren't enough of an epilogue to close a series so loved. Erin Nicholas gives us Just What I Need - a whole book that is a terrific epilogue Novella for the Bradfords series.
I love this series! I am going to miss these characters but Erin Nicholas did a great job of wrapping them all up. Love how they will all have kids about the same age. May they grow up to be as good as friends as their parents are. Looking forward to a new series by this great author.
Wow! What a great way to update us on the lives of our hereos. This little novella turned out to be more than that. I loved hearing what everyone was up to. From Dooley's wedding mishaps to Sam and Dani's unexpected delivery to wonderful secrets to a honeymoon in a hospital room to a limo doubling as an ambulance. Just so sweet and hilarious.
Erin Nicholas never ceases to amaze me. She is full of surprises. I loved the feeling of belonging that this novella gives out. I love how these friends are really there for one another. I love how even in moments of distress you can find humour. This is Erin Nicholas at her best. The guys and their women are more than just friend's they are family. If you couldn't see that in their individual stories you definitely see that her in Just What I Need. This was a fabulous ending to a great series and I only hope we can get a glimpse of them in future stories. Way to go Erin Nicholas. Grab the five books in the day shift series and read them then read Just What I Need for a update in their lives. You won't regret it. See why I love Erin Nicholas and all her amazing stories.
Sixth book in the Bradford series. This is a nice, simple, feel good series with plenty of heat between the characters. The stories focus on crews of paramedics that work out of a hospital. The technical aspects of the stories are pretty spot on. I work in the field and I was impressed.
This is part if a series. I would recommend starting with the first book in the series and then reading the Counting On series afterwards. It is a continuation of the series.
A sweet way to say goodbye to the guys and the women who won their hearts. Everyone gets a POV, and everyone gets a Happily Ever After.
Looking forward to the Night Shift series. (Although, in Kevin's book he talks about being away from 7pm - 7am which, in the real world, is actually - you know - night time.)
What a great wrap up to a fabulous series!! You would have to read the whole series to fully appreciate this great novella!! The gang goes through a world wind of chaos during the wedding of Dooley and Morgan!! Do not miss this series or this great book!!
I gave this novella 5 stars. I couldn’t put it down. To me, it was better than the series. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. From a wedding, to babies born in a limo, to 3 pregnant friends, this short read is jam packed with goodness!
This book is just what I needed for sure. It started out with sparks and ended with a big bang. I laughed and cried, oohed and aahed!!! Wow!!! This book is full of action and surprises and just when I thought I couldn’t be surprised anymore I was wrong. So so good!!!
What a perfect ending for the series! This book gave us an update on everyone’s lives & a sneak peek into their future. Of course, it was done in an unexpected & drama filled way! It was nice to picture these hot, sexy Alpha guys totally mushy & soft around their girls. Loved the entire series!!
What a great way to wrap up the Day Shift series. I loved getting all the follow ups on these loved characters and a great way for me to go into the Night Shift series. Erin has made these friends become family
I loved this! I know their stories can't go on forever but it was so great to have the filler for our imaginations to run wild with. After being so invested in their stories it was so fun to see them all together again!
Erin did such an awesome job summarizing Everyday Hero’s/Day Shift series. These are definitely characters that you think about long after the stories have ended.
This ties in perfectly with all the previous books in this series. You can’t help but fall in love with all the characters over the series and here they are. This is a must read
Way to end a series. I absolutely loved it and the bond between the guys is beautiful. Each of them got their happily ever after. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

One of my favorite contemporary series is Erin Nicholas Bradfords. This is a series that has it all, great friendships, hot chemistry, and lots and lots of love. Oh and some awesome sexy times.
If you haven't read the other books in this series then I suggest to click over to whatever book buying store you use and buy them ALL. Yes I said to buy them ALL.
Morgan and Dooley are the last ones to get married, and it's finally arrived....along with Sam's baby.
There is a lot going on in this book, and all of it good. We get to see what's happening with each of the couples, how Sam still feels about his sister having sex, and what they are planning for their futures. More than one couple announces they are pregnant, and Morgan and Dooley have some wedding night hijinks in the limo.
I have to say, as far as epilogues go this is one of the best ways to end a series. It made me want to go back and read all the books over again.
If you've read the other books in the series you don't want to miss this one.
I started reading this series way back at the beginning with Just Right, and was hooked. In my opinion. eack book in Erin Nicholas' Bradford series, kept getting better and better. Add to the original 5 in this series , and this EPILOGUE NOVELLA is quite literally "Just What I Needed"! ;-) ( although I still could use a little more of the Bradfords and their extended family!)Just can't seem to get enough of them! This book had me laughing, crying , and laughing again in a matter of seconds.....the characters are so palpable, and anyone who's read the series knows what I'm talking about. Do yourself a favor and run to get a copy of this great EPILOGUE novella . If you haven't read the series, I strongly recommend starting at the beginning. You won't be disappointed!
There’s never a dull moment with any of these characters! Why would I have expected Morgan and Dooley to have a relaxing wedding? This short novella provided a nice sense of homecoming, because it AGAIN gave insight into these characters and how much they mean to each other. That brief comment from Dooley about his future sons not being related to his friend’s female children...I hope somewhere in the future we can see that from Erin Nicholas! I can only imagine the handful all of those kids will be and how fiercely loyal, independent, but loving adults they will turn into.
