This is book from my childhood, an Australian classic. A beautiful story of a baby owl saved by the author in 1960s Britain. Worth seeking out.

I read this as a child... and hated it. I'd like to find it again, now that my visual literacy is more sophisticated.

The illustrations in this are stunning; from frameworthy, minimal linework to perfect, soft watercolours.
