A quick read stand alone by Jeffery Deaver.
Barely a 3 star rating and far too short to enjoy.
The story is so short it is difficult to actually give an outline without giving the whole thing away but that said it does have a good twist at the end.
I am a big fan of Jeffery Deaver and especially enjoy the Lincoln Rhymes series so won't be giving up on him.

The plot which Zweig viewed from a different angle in 'the burning secret'.. A story with an unexpected twist, which might make you want to re-read the story from the very beginning.. In the quite long novels that Deaver write, the twists doesn't seem to matter much,at least not like it does in these stories. I'm having a hard time getting shocked time and again.

Triangle by Jeffery Deaver.

I rated this short story and landed on 4 stars. The book was written truly good, and you really get the vibe from it. The plot twist at the end is exceptionally well thought of. To come up with the idea, made this book twisted and that is what made it good. The hints of the big plot twist at the end is not so easy to detect and I think we should have gotten a little more clues without reviling the plot twist. In the end this book is easy to read in a day and if you like stories with a great plot twist, this is the book for you.

A super short story by Jeffery Deaver. It just reminded me again why I love his books. This short story or novella had me barking up the wrong tree all the way to the end. He really is a master story teller and weaver of suspense. Brilliant!

Short stories sometimes don’t have enough detail to make it feel real or accurate but Jeffery Deaver has a knack for them. And I always love his twists, it keeps you guessing throughout the whole story.

The Triangle
By: Jeffery Deaver

The Triangle is captivating, delightful , and easy to follow. It has a very unique twist about it that is very clever and unique. The Triangle makes you want the story to last longer. It makes you want to keep reading on. It has very unique characters and settings.

Simon & Schuster published the Triangle. It was published in March 1999. It’s genre is mystery based.

The story is external and person vs. person. Doug had a hunting accident and things got bad. Pete who doesn’t want Mo to have a boyfriend, gets angry. At the beginning of the story it seems like Pete is Mo’s boyfriend. Pete steals a book about murder and is worried about the cops finding out if he bought it.

It took place in a split level house in suburban Westchester County. In the Summer, mid-morning/evening. The house smelled of jasmine flowers. It was in an empty field with no one around, was hunting had shotguns and was climbing fences with alcohol in his system.

“He had to steal it; he was afraid that if everything went as he’d planned- the clerk might remember him buying the book and the police would use it against him.” pg 168
Pete Anderson- young,short-cut blond hair, has a dog named Randolf, doesn't like the smell of jasmine flowers.
Douglas Grant- jill’s boss, hates Pete, Hunts.
Jill Anderson (Mo)- office worker, liar, cheater, trying to divorce her husband, uses people for there money.

“ I am a much better actor than Mo.” Pete thought. Pg 178

A heartbreaking loss of a relationship that came to a bad end. Pete & Doug despise each other. Pete spied on Doug & Mo to find out what they are hiding. In my opinion the issue is hatred between two people that is strong enough to kill. I think the author did really well on his research but he didn’t do much research.

“Doug had to die”Pete thought.

In comparison “the Triangle” compares to when my aunt had an affair on my uncle. My aunt lost her job and my uncle divorced her and left with their two kids.

In my opinion I think this story would be good for teenagers into mystery and likes twists, because it’s full of mystery and the twist will have you hitting your head thinking why didn’t I see that coming.

In conclusion this book is fascinating by itself. I liked how mysterious it is and how the twist was so unexpected. I didn’t like how it was really short and somewhat boring in places. On a scale of 1-5 for this story I would give a 2.5 rating.
