Nice first novel effort by Erika Land she's definitely a force to be reckoned with. It's Complicated: Misconceptions pages are filled with passion, irony, humor, and surpises. This book is well worth the choice of reading. Though the book has a same gender loving theme it can be appreciated by all who choose to read it, for love is a universal concept. This book was fun to read and I am looking forward to the sequel a book that will definitely be on my wish list

Miscommunciation can lead to doubts, suspicion, misconception, anger, mistrust, jealousy, and finally revelations all these things that any relationship will or has experienced. Laila believes her girlfriend is cheating on her which is a blow to her ego, which leads her to embarked on an emotional rollercoaster with 2 women and a psycho. I could not put this book down. I encourage everyone to read this whether you're single, gay/straight or in a relationship; you will not regret it.

? this was my brain as I was reading this atrocity of a book. I cannot lie and say that there wasn't so much potential in the plot. But the execution was a complete disaster. Laila is such a messy person. She lives with her long time girlfriend but has been feeling estranged from her. She meets a stripper named Camile one night when she decides she can no longer take the loneliness from girlfriend Victoria. They have a brief romance but Laila wants to keep trying with Victoria. Then she meets Nadia while she is taking time for herself away from her life as a successful architect engineer and her girlfriend that is steadily ignoring her.
Even while I write this I can't fully understand what I'm saying. From start to finish this was a mess. I feel like if this was my first experience reading lesbian romance I would assume lesbian women are simply promiscuous. And that is such a lie. Laila's persona is like a yo-yo. One minute she loves Camile the next she loves Nadia, then Victoria finally shows her some attention and she wants to break up with the other two to be with her girlfriend. Laila also has a best friend and confidant Trey. Trey has no role in the book other than to be the sassy gay best friend and listen to Laila's whiny stories of how she messed up for the umpteenth time. The plot twist was completely predictable and I was just disappointed in everything about this book. But like I said potential, but wasted potential.

Sort of a frustrations story!! It was nice to have a lesbian book where all the characters are experiencing different aspects of their sexuality! Each character had something to learn but someone could have been altitude reserved. I didn't like how the main character was such a negative influence by cheating, lying, and being a complete hypocrite!! I was interested enough to find out the plot twists but the poor writing and confusion of characters slowed down the reading pace
