Aidan hopes to escape the oppression of Grandfather Patrick's house by going into town, but instead he discovers that the Clan's taint is everywhere. A quick trip to the one grocery store and a shocking encounter with one of the Clan's children have him running for his life. Aidan finds an unexpected haven in an old apothecary owned by Soo, a mysterious elderly woman that seems to loathe the Clan as much as he does. Soo knows the Dark Prince Asher Vane and many secrets about the Sidhe. She might even know some secrets about Aidan, too ...
Finally decided to continue on with this manga series, and I am getting more intrigued. I like how the front cover is fully featured in the manga as the very last scene in the book. Also Aiden comment about Asher being an elf was cute, after the glamour dropped of course. Aiden being the reincarnation of Asher old friend that he killed, I can already see the "old" tension and feelings building/reappearing and I'm here for it. The clan are creepy, nothing more to say on the matter, and I'm really worried about Aidan's sister now.
★★★★ = I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would re-read every now and then. RATING NOTE: I will rate all the books the same as I consider it one long story.
I have not read the online novel. I strictly started the graphic novel edition. It's been an excruciatingly slow wait for each comic. I started following this way back in 2011 and I know the online novel goes waaay beyond the comic but a part of me wants to wait for the graphic novel releases, even though slow.
I love this series to pieces, mainly for the art. The art alone is worth my fandom and I found the story a bonus in the end (as I'm not normally a follower of medieval-themed fantasies).
Las cosas comenzaron a torcerse y creo que se pondrán bien, aunque la relación entre Asher y Aidan es algo forzada y apresurada. La historia fue muy buena, aunque deja algunos cabos sueltos. Muy bueno. Things began to go wrong and I think they will recover, although the relationship between Asher and Aidan is somewhat forced and rushed. The story was very good, but leaves some loose ends. Very good.
Aidan goes to town but get attack by the clan. He is saved by a funny old woman. The young man learns more about the Clan & magic from Prince Asher. I am curious to learn about the connection between Aidan & the mage best friend of Asher, who look similar to him. I wish those volumes were longer, I am devouring them!
This one was really interesting, with a bit of a horror bent to it. The included short story was also really good, though it'd be nice to have more of the actual graphic novel, especially since these are so short.
