This book is definitely a nail biter and a page turner. So many things going on one right after the other. So much heartache and devastation but yet so much love. I loved reading each individual story and what they have gone through. Absolutely adored the new characters you introduced. I am eager to read the rest of their stories. Melody you Have truly out done yourself on this book. It is by far the best one, at least so far. December can not get here quick enough for me. I don't want to wait that long
I like this series very much. This one definitely almost brought me to tears a couple times. So much happens in this one. Very excited for the next one, and I HATE that I have to wait until December. UGH!
i loved this book, was so worth the wait for book 3, Melody Anne never disappoints, this book carried on well from book 1 and 2, i loved how each chapter belonged to a character their story though their eyes, i didn't want this book to end could of read on and on so can't wait for book for Midnight Eclipse
Melody Anne's Midnight Storm is absolutely compelling! I don't want to give anything away to new readers, but I was left with wanting more right now! I cried, screamed and laughed throughout this story. I actually could see this series becoming a movie, with the likes of Twilight and Beautiful Creatures!
What and amazing story! A breath taking journey I will never forget! I loved this! Phoenix is such a young force,& growing to be a wonderful WOMEN! Thanks Melody for sending me to tears and for getting me hooked on this series! Karen
Huh! It was never explained how John and Chastity got out of their demise in the forest. The next thing I was reading was he was playing guitar in Brian and Sadie's wedding. Didn't even realize that they were back at the camp. Best are still the action parts.
This is book three in the Rise of the Dark Angel series!
Phoenix and Sadie are suddenly living in an America that is for sure no longer a nation. Evil Rebel troops and extreme corrupt government and the agencies have goals of building a New World. They Rebels must exterminate the old America. Those who lived in the old America. They have to do it before they can rebuild.
The cities are nothing but ghost towns, even as Americans are either been taken prisoner or are gruesomely killed or most of them are in hiding.
The surviving Americans are banning together and fighting to take back control of their country – but rebel troops are not the only enemy.
The evil Vyco has commanded his demons to no longer hide within the darkness but to fight. Taking Phoenix captive, even tries to kill anyone who interferes.
With the assistance of Phoenix's boyfriend and Dark Angel, Jayden, and his sister, Chastity. Phoenix and her strong knit group of friends try to combat the Darkness.
Who will save the world from complete annihilation?
Can Brian? Can Sadie? Can Jayden? Can Phoenix? Can John? Can Chastity?
Can any of these save the world or will their brave attempts fail them
I need more than 5 *s but again need to settle for 5. I'd recommend this author and all her books
So... after reading the second book, I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy the third. And even though I still had a bit of a hard time with this one, it was definitely better than the second book. And I have to say that it was probably because of the introduction of other characters, IE Drake and the other gal(her name slips the mind right now.) I really enjoyed their stories. I think that is what is missing from these books, is the story outside of "paradise".
These other characters are in the real world. Not Sadie and Phoenix's Who live in their own make believe church camp world, in la la land. I mean JEEEEZE! Okay... Okay, I wont go off about them two again. But Im sure you know what I mean. I will finish the series because I like to follow through in the series that I am reading. Otherwise, I would have stopped after the first one.
I read Midnight Moon and Midnight Storm back on back I really loved this story.... and I really hate this story. Midnight Storm is so dark and so much loss. I hate it when something happens to my favorite characters. So unnecessary. Although I enjoy reading the book, I felt a lot of shock that I didn't want to read it anymore. I was devastated about a revelation concerning the war. It really bothered me to no end... and I'm not even American..... So who is now the savior of the earth? In the first book it was Jayden, now it's Phoenix.... it kinda changes from book to book... Now I have to wait until end of the year to read the next book????? How crappy is that?!
I am really really torn between a 3 and a 4 star rating but just like book 2, this one tended to drag on as well. Maybe not as much as book two but unfortunately book three brings out annoying Phoenix! Really? Wants to be treated like an adult and be on the front lines yet she acts like a spoiled child. I was ok with the character through book 1 and 2 although I could see why other people did not like Phoenix, it did not bother me as much then. Not so in book 3.
I still enjoyed the story and some of the other characters and yes, I am looking forward to book 4 and hoping the writer redeems herself and cuts the crap out.
This instalment was definitely worth the wait. I loved how the story grows and develops. Unfortunately for me, it ended all too soon, leaving me in a desperate state, having to wait for the next instalment.........again. I am not very good at waiting!!! Melody Anne has cemented herself in the angels and demons fantasy genre perfectly with with this series.
Well the books are getting progressively better and they are getting harder and harder to put down. I'm really looking forward to the conclusion of the series. I just wish she would have written this as an Adult Series instead of YA. There is so much untapped potential...It could be much Darker, Sexier, and Consuming.
OMG I am at a loss for words what a twist with more to come. I can't wait for the finale. Again a thrilling ride into light and dark, good versus evil. Phoenix is now starting to understand her place in the war, with Jayden by her side. Will they ever find their HEA. Can't wait to find out.
this series keeps getting better. keeps you hooked from page one. can't wait to start the next one. if you haven't read anything of hers, all I can say is what are you waiting for
Oh my goodness. I am in love with this series. Just to finished the third book and to be told the fourth book has been delayed. I am totally devastated. This series is truly remarkable. I am just itching to get the next book.
Not only was this book filled with some extremely nail biting scenes, it was filled with some inspirational pep talks. Best friends being their for each, and for those around them. Providing each other with faith and determination to keep moving forward.
A character from book two makes an appearance, and we're introduced to two new characters. These two end up meeting under a horrible incident and move forward, then one of them meets up with our main characters.
This book was action packed right from the start, with very few slow moments. The slow moments help to process what you've read. In this book, each chapter is from a specific characters point of view. There are some surprising twists near the end. It's a dark book focusing on surviving after a world war type apocalypse, where good has to outdo evil.
I'm looking forward to reading the final book in this series. I've become quite invested in knowing the outcome. For me the more I'm reading the faster the pages seem to turn. This is really a 4.5 star book, I wish we had the capability to do half stars.
