In the Shadow of Midnight: Daedalus, A tale of Savannah

Rate this book
On September 19, 2005, the heat waves danced off the teeming, blackened windows of a small wooden house in the city’s Trustee’s Garden section. Inside lay the bodies of Bob and Tina Stoddard, decaying in the Savannah swelter.

This is their story.

I like this, but I'm the author, so take that with a grain of salt.

Bob and Tina Stoddard lived on Monterey Square in Savannah just down the street from Jim Williams, the main character in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

We were vacationing in Savannah when we awoke from an afternoon nap to see police cars, ambulances and a hearse parked across the street. They removed two bodies triggering my investigation into how these two lost souls came to this end. This story tells their story. I occasionally provide other details on my blog.

There’s more to Savannah than Jim Williams. This concise narrative non-fiction follows an ill-fated couple as they plummet from a prominent social perch to death in a tiny apartment on the very edge of town. Compelling and dark.

A haunting Savannah story about those who aspire to wealth but fail terribly. A real life scaled-down Gatsby. Available for the kindle.
