Mandy Malone ditches her pharmaceutical convention and the married male colleagues hitting on her to hurry home to her waiting family. But she doesn’t bank on the blizzard that forces her off the road and into a deserted rest stop. When she meets another road refugee, their attraction is immediate and molten hot. Suddenly, getting stranded doesn’t seem like such bad luck after all.
Although totally unprepared for Mandy’s unvarnished proposition, Jack is intrigued by the erotic offer of a promising night of no-questions-asked sex. But when he notices the wedding band on Mandy’s finger, will he forego the lure of a torrid clandestine affair, or give in to the fantasy of blazing hot sex on a wintry night?

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I was given a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.
Mandy left a convention early on account of all the males kept hitting on her. She wants to get home to her family. She misses and wants to be home with her husband and children. On her way home she runs into a blizzard and knows that she is going not going to make it home tonight. She spots a rest stop and pulls into what she hopes is the parking lot.
The rest stop is almost deserted, except for a man sitting at the opposite end of the bar from where she is sitting. Mandy cannot help staring at this guy he is so good looking and so very hot. All she wants to do is get him in bed with her. She surprises herself when he comes over and introduces himself as Jack. She tells him what she wants to do to him. She has never acted like this before and wonders what is wrong with her.
Of course Jack being a man is not going to turn her down. But he does ask her about her husband after he sees her wedding band. Mandy is like well with both of their jobs and her having a baby eight weeks ago they have not had much time together. Jack and Mandy end up in his car taking care of business. Jack and Mandy's time together is about the best that each has ever had. Jack and Mandy had his windows all steamed up. The snow storm going on outside couldn't touch them on fogging up the windows.
I couldn't figure out Mandy cheating on her husband when she left the convention early because of the married guys hitting on her. Why would she leave early and then end up cheating on husband somewhere else? Well I guess the guys at the convention just didn't turn her on like the guy at the rest stop. But the way she described him he was the hottest thing since Adonis. I loved the ending after reading it I was like what no way and I had to go back and read it again to see if I had read what I thought I had read. Oh yeah I had read what I thought. It was the most amazing endings ever. Blizzard may be a short story but it is one fantastic book. It is one book you don't want to miss out on.
My Rating: 4 stars: Enjoyed - strongly recommend (A-) Review originally posted at That's What I'm Talking About.
Blizzard is a wonderful vignette from Taryn Kincaid, author of the Sleepy Hollow series. The story is part of Decadent Publishing’s Edge Series, a line of short stories covering different types of romance, all from various authors. Each story is usually a single scene or at most a few scenes over a very short time period, highlighting a sexy encounter.
Although Blizzard is listed as the fourth story in the Sleepy Hollow series, it is unrelated to the first three and may be read completely stand alone. And unlike the other books in that series, there is no paranormal activity; it is strictly contemporary romance.
Being married with kids is a tough and tiring place to be. Add to it a demanding full-time job, and the idea of sex becomes almost a foreign concept. So when Mandy Malone finds herself alone with a handsome man stranded in a rest stop - she wants to get some satisfaction in her unfulfilling sex life. Jack is more than willing to help fill the bill and give Mandy the time of her life.
There is instant chemistry between Mandy and Jack. Lets face it... Most of us married with kids (or even those who are not!) probably have experienced some sort of sexual frustration and the desire to have a passionate encounter. In Blizzard, the reader lives vicariously through Mandy and Jack and their intense meeting. It's enjoyable; it's hot; it's crazy and needy!
This really is a great little story - lots of fun, well-written and entertaining. At first I was wondering how the whole rendez-vous and situation presented would be resolved in such a short space. However, about halfway through the book I figured out where the story was going, and it totally put a smile on my face.
Blizzard is a sizzling short novella about two strangers who meet while seeking refuge in a deserted rest area during a blizzard. Their instant attraction leads to a steamy one night stand that is simply hot, hot, hot! For one hot steamy night, Mandy Malone can forget about the stress of her career and marriage and release her passion and desire in the strong warm arms of a ruggedly sexy man named Jack.
Author Taryn Kincaid weaves a tantalizing tale written in the third person narrative that follows a night of sexual indulgence by Mandy and Jack as they seek shelter from a blustery winter blizzard. The reader can't help but get swept away by this enticing quick tale, the intensity and raw chemistry that Mandy and Jack share is simply delicious! This fun little story has enough character back story, sizzling sexual tension and chemistry, witty verbal bantering and hot steamy sex scenes, and a surprise twist of an ending that makes Blizzard a thoroughly entertaining story that leaves the reader wanting more!
Blizzard is one of the books in Decadent Publishing's Edge Series / Sleepy Hollow Series, but is a stand alone read.

Picture it, a snowy deserted night where the only warmth available comes from a ruggedly sexy man offering to give you a night of decadent delights. In Blizzard by Taryn Kincaid it's the reader who gets the decadent delight of reading this steamy story with a predictable ending. Ms. Kincaid wastes no time getting to the steamy stuff with little time for character development. This story is meant purely as erotic fun, a way to get away from the stresses of the day for a short time and it nicely succeeds.
Mandy feels that her husband and her aren't connecting like they used to, so on a dangerously snowy night she takes a sexy and rugged man up on his offer for an erotic interlude of a lifetime. Their connection is instantaneous and leads to a combustible encounter that fogs up the car windows. Jack and Mandy are oh so hot together with verbal bantering that enhances the sexual tension between them. This is a fast read that ends in, at least for me, a completely expected twist. That doesn't make this story any less enjoyable though as this story meets many a woman's fantasy and I for one am glad I took this journey with Mandy and Jack.
As Always Taryn rocks your world with her words. Every time I read one of her novellas I am totally blown away at how just a few pages has me wanting no needing more. In Blizzard Taryn does not disappoint.
Can you imagine being married but not fulfilled sexually? Well that is the case for Mandy and her marriage. She is a pharmacy rep that is at a convention when she leaves and rushes to go home to her husband but life has a funny way of changing things and she gets stuck at a rest stop because of a blizzard. It is there that she meets up with Jack who is stuck there as well to wait out the blizzard. Mandy starving for something different offers Jack a deal of a lifetime. Mind blowing sex with no questions or strings attached.
At first Jack is skeptical because he sees Mandy's wedding ring but soon the chemistry between them can't be denied. It is an all consuming love and lust mixed together and what they have is incredible. As they surrender to the lust and love they become one in a heated passion like no one's business.
This is such a must read novella that will have your glasses and heart steaming up!

This is a really quick read with characters that keep you wondering what they're going to do. I absolutely loved the ending but I wish the story had been longer. This is the first book I've read by this author but I wasn't disappointed. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next. I rate this book 4 stars Jennifer W

Alright- This is 23 pages long and there is a WHOLE LOT OF HOTNESS packed in. This is really like reading a short fantasy to get you all heated up to spend time with your husband or ..or your batteries-whichever applies. OR you could read it together... Personally- I wasn't expecting it to be over so quickly and headed straight for my husband. He loves it when I read.
Mandy gets stuck in a blizzard on her way home from a trip. She's bored with married sex and ends up propositioning a guy she runs into at a coffee shop she takes shelter in. Hot car sex ensues. YUM!
Spoiler Alert!! Before you get all judgey like I started to and well without giving too much away this hot little story is not what you think it is, there's a great little twist at the end. After all, it definitely scored with me. At only $1.99 it's a small price to pay for a sexy evening with your Hubby.
Blizzard is part of the Sleepy Hollow series but can be read as a stand alone novella.
Taryn Kincaid sets an amazing scene with imagery that is so well written you feel as if you could be driving in the snow yourself. With just enough back story to understand the characters and characters and settings you can see jumping off the page Blizzard delivers a fun, sexy and hot novella that will make you go back for more by Ms. Kincaid.
The first three novellas in the Sleepy Hollow series are 1Night stand stories, Blizzard is not it is part of the Edge line that is being put out by Decadent Publishing.
I found it incredibly impressive that the author could create such well-developed characters and such an intriguing story, not to mention a surprise twist, in such a quick little novella. What begins as a sexy sordid tale of two strangers contemplating how to wait out a snowstorm, the book ends in a twist I certainly did not see coming. I adored the dialogue between the characters. At first, I found it a little awkward how forward Mandy was in her approach with Jack but as the story unfolded, I decided that it all really worked perfectly with who these characters are and where their story ended up heading.
This is the most awesome, get stuck in a blizzard story I have ever read.
Taryn has taken the hot, sexy one night stand to a whole new level in Blizzard. Her characters are real and exciting. I could feel the cold of the blizzard and the heat building between Jack and Mandy.
The ending is totally unexpected and shocked the living daylights out of me.
Left me wanting more from Taryn and her wonderful cast of characters. A definite must read! Bravo!
I had the pleasure of reading this book upon recommendation of a friend. I love The Edge stories. I was not disappointed with this read, if anything I was blown away. The writing is flawless, strong, and enticing. It pulls you in and, I don't want to give anything away here, but it is fair to say I did not see something coming that I almost always anticipate. Ms. Kincaid is a great talent and I look forward to reading whatever she publishes in the future.
Taryn pens "Blizzard" a nice quick read about a hot one night stand in her usual flawless writing. As usual her characters are strong with good chemistry which made this one hot sexy "Blizzard" to be caught up in. A must read for all erotic fans!

A delicious hot short read. I loved it. Nothing but pure hot steamy sex. The best one night stand story I have ever read. I think I'll have to use this as a bedtime story the next time I don't want to sleep. The ending is amazing. 5 starts for sure.
The beginning of this one was a little uncomfortable at first, but as they heat up, you totally get into it! The story is somewhat predictable, but I really didn’t care. Jack is a nice guy trying to help Mandy out and Mandy is a frustrated woman in need of loving she can’t seem to get at home, so they make sense and their chemistry is so great.
I really enjoyed the spontaneity in their behavior; they’re at a rest stop, what are they gonna do? It was sizzling and sexy and undeniably steamy, but the real kicker was the ending. So flipping adorable you can only want more.
A short read, but enjoyable from beginning to end. Blizzard will warm you up on a cold night and despite the potentially taboo scenario that the summary describes, it’s a very sweet romance with a splash of spice and would be an awesome story for right before bed!

Good gravy, this book was hot. I don't know if it was the naughtiness of Mandy propositioning a sexy man out of the blue or the way everything played out in the end but this story worked for me.
I always say, if you going to ask someone for a night of no-holds-barred sex, you might as well ask the hunk of burning love that makes your lady parts tingle. The fact that he's the sexiest hunk in the room doesn't hurt, AT ALL.
Downright naughty at times and full of the trademark sexiness that I've come to expect from Taryn Kincaid's books, I wouldn't mind more more more just like this. Please.

Blizzard was a kinky, shocking, titillating tale of sexual satisfaction full of surprises. On her way home from a conference, Mandy Malone is caught in a blizzard. Forced to pull over at a rest stop, she finds herself captivated by the handsome man in one of the booth. What happens next will make your jaw drop. I know mine did. I can’t say much more without launching into spoilers, but I will say if you’re looking for something naughty, short, and thought provoking to read this is a perfect fit.
Oh, la, the steam factor here was off the charts!! Hottest car steam I have read in a long time! Yummilicious!!
This was a really quick read and the setup was nicely done. I was not surprised by the twist but it did not stop me from enjoying the book.
I can't say much without spoiling things. This story was a nice addition to Ms Kincaid's Sleepy Hollow collection. Even though it wasn't very paranormal.
This was one hot novel. I could really see something like this happening.
Mandy Malone just wants to get home to her husband and family. She is tired of all the married men hitting on her at the convention. The bad thing is on her way home she runs into a blizzard and has to stop at a truck stop. That is where she meets Jack.
I knew what this story was about before I got to the end but it was worth reading. I wish I could do something like this.
