A fascinating compilation of fine contemporary writing ranging from classic short stories to creative nonfiction pieces with a scholarly article and a book review to boot. A very talented array of authors provide treats from all over the literary map. Available for kindle, nook, and kobo e-readers.

The inaugural issue of Ragnarok compiles nothing less than an absolutely formidable cast of authors with incontestably strong voices. The issue reads something like a coincidental meeting of amazing authors who, at the end of the end of the issue, disperse and head in separate directions with backward reluctant glances wondering about the odds of meeting like this again.

I’m always looking for something to read on the Metro that isn’t too long. This fits the bill - short stories, commentary, non-fiction all easily read in one or two day’s worth of Metro rides depending on how long your commute is.
