There are only 34 pages in this book but I'm am already captivated!
First off this Jason seems to just be a douchebag that Elliot needs to rid herself of -on a romantic level. Then there's the Mesmer Society that it just hot but Elliot isn't quite on board. Some hot sex scenes.
The end well it's a cliff hanger!

So, this was my first encounter with the erotica genre, like really erotica.

This short story was all about sex, and it was hot, interesting since I haven't explored this genre much, so I didn't even know what BDSM meant, I figured out the last part, SM well yeah, everybody know about SM, but the BD was new for me.

Anyways I did enjoy this initiation to the Mesmer Society which turned out to be a BDSM society. I like the way Elliot, gets excited on the one hand and rationalizes the events on the other hand. Being torn about what see feels and what she thinks, and then there is the cliffhanger at the end that leaves you begging for part two! That's why this short story gets 4 stars from me!

It was all too easy to imagine being the heroine, sweet, unsuspecting photojournalist student, Elliot, who goes to cover the story of her career and ends up discovering something about herself she doesn’t know how to deal with. Undercover working a story on a secret sex society is a hell of a time to realize you’re into kink. The description of the acts performed where blistering hot with the proper amount of sweetness. I loved that Lain showed it’s about control, but there’s caring and enjoyment there as well. Sometimes I think that’s sorely lacking in BDSM romance.
