Once again, I disagree with the majority of the ratings for the same issues that I had with the first book. The story had a lot of potential (it was actually better than the first), but the writing really detracted from it and made it really hard to get through.

Plot:
Once Kas returns to Hellhouse, she finds out that while she and Kali were gone, there were several attacks on the homes of the fallen, and many children were orphaned. In addition to taking care of the children, Kas, the fallen, and the half breeds have to learn to work together to make up for the losses they suffered. As they train for the inevitable war against evil, Kas finds that her abilities are growing. She learns that she has a bigger responsibility in saving the future of humanity. At the same time, she also learns that the more power she has, the more likely it will be that she goes insane. The only thing that can stop her is a charm, someone who can bring her back to reality when she gets out of control.

Characters:
Kasadya remains the same as she was in the first book: snarky, critical, hardheaded and impulsive. Those qualities pretty much cause her to screw up every single thing she does. Again, her redeeming quality is that she cares deeply about the people around her, and she is determined to do whatever she can to keep them safe. In other words, while her actions are often inscrutable, her heart is in the right place. Chax DeLuca (still cold and unyielding), realizes that he misjudged Kasadya and becomes very protective of her. He continues to train her and tries to get her to understand that her actions have consequences, but she makes it very difficult for him.

Kasadya is still surrounded by a ton of different characters. Kali is prominently featured in this book, and she becomes Kas’ best friend. Lada and Lotan have gotten together in her absence. Max is forced to train with Nanini even though the two can’t stand each other. Seth moved on in Kas’ absence, so he isn’t around much in this book. Draco and Ballen return, and we meet more of the princes. We also meet and learn more about the archangels.

Writing:
So many errors make it hard to read.

The Bottom Line:
In terms of plot, this book was slightly better than the first. It continues to be addictive, and it has LOTS of major plot twists. There is again a major cliffhanger that is answered within the first few pages of Book 3. You will want to have it ready as soon as you finish.

I bought this book from amazon!
Kasadya Hellhound Twisted by Karen Swart

WTH?? OMG??? REALLY? That is what is running through my head after reading this book. I have so many emotions warring with each other- sympathy, anger, sadness, betrayel and more. This author knows how to pack a wallop regarding her writing. I was so enthralled with her first book that I bought her second one and read within a day. I am still left needing and craving more!! I can't believe the events that took place in the book. This book is filled with betrayel, conspiracy, love, friendship, intrigue, death, action and more. This book is so amazing and hoping the author will have the next book soon so I can read more of Kas's journey. I cried in a few places and that is something for me since I don't do that alot. This series has become one of my favorites reminding me of Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy books.

The story continues where it was left off where Kali is captured and everyone goes and saves her. Kas finds out even though they saved her there is a death charm killing her slowly. She has to find a way to deliver the payment to Ballen and save her friend. I won't say more since that would lead to spoilers on this amazing book.

Once again, Swart has written an absolute page turner that had me devouring every single word. Her writing style is purposeful and personal which allows the reader to feel every emotion that is intended for the scene. Kas is still the spunky smartass that we met and grew to love in book one but there is so much more to her if you take the time to venture beyond the surface. Kas is a developed warrior but more importantly, she has learned the importance of independence and loyalty and she understands that she is capable of both. What I absolutely love about Kas is her never give up, never say die attitude. I love this girl!

The conclusion of book two left me in a serious tizzy. For some reason I thought I had at least 50 more pages to read and then… BOOM… I was left with another cliffhanger. Swart is a master when it comes to cliffhangers. Now that I have read books one and two I am permanently invested in these characters and need to know what happens next; especially when it comes to “him.” I can’t wait to read Kasadya: Hellhound Born (Book #3 of the Kasadya Series) so I can see how this amazing story ends.

Hellhound Twisted picks up right where Hellhound Awakened leaves off. Kas a hellhound and magnet for trouble returns to Exsilium to find a lot has changed in the two years since she was dragged to hell. Now she has to fight her own people, the fallen, for acceptance and she has to fight demons to save her best friend. She needs to hurry before time runs out for both of them. If she becomes a hellhound in entirety then the mysterious and her former trainer Chax De Luca will have to kill her. Unless she finds her soul mate.

I read the first book in this series a while back and I loved the story and the characters. So much so that I have been looking forward to reading this sequel. When I discovered it was out the other day I went and bought it.
Kas is the same snarky, spunky hellhound from the first book. I love her fire, and her never say die attitude. It's nice to see a YA heroine that isn't walking around crying about everything. Sure she has her moments, but then she gets over them and picks herself back up.
Chax, her Custos (trainer) was a huge draw for me in the first book. He has that broody bad boy vibe to him, but it's not overkill. He's not a major tool. He's just cut off from everyone. He seems to be fighting something in this book, and I think I have it figured out.
The world that these characters live in is just so cool.

There are a lot of fallen angel/demon books out there, but this one is different. The fallen are all sorts of paranormal beings, from hellhound, to vampire, to different types of fae. The rules in the world are straight forward, easy to follow and make me wish I could do some of this cool stuff. Yes, I am dorky like that.

The writing was good, good enough to make me want to come back for the third book. It wasn't just the cliff hanger ending that is drawing me in. I really do care about what happens to these characters. As for the technical aspects of the writing, I may have noticed a few typos, but I was so into the story that I didn't make note of them. However, I should note that Kas' teenager voice can be distracting and at times did draw me out of the story. It seems in the beginning of both this book, and book one, there is an overabundance of the word "Yip". Like, "Yep", but not. I have no idea why but that drove me nuts. Maybe because I think of dogs "Yipping" not girls. *shrugs* Yes, it is extremely nit picky, and by the end of the both books the instances are cut way down, and I was really able to enjoy the ride. If I was a test reader for the books I would suggest it be cut down in the beginning as well. Alas, I am not, so I will deal with it. I can also deal with it because I can see it for what it is meant to be which is a tool to show Kas' unique personality. However, I feel like her personality and unique speech patterns shine through without the use of it. Once again. I can't change it, I can only choose to overlook it. Which I will because I love the story.

Overall the book was great. A really solid read that I managed to devour in a day, so that should tell you that the rest of the story was superb.
If you are looking for a quick YA/Paranormal read that has its own twists and turns, with fun characters then this is the book for you.

Wow... Just WOW! Hellhound Twisted picks up right where Hellhound Awakened left off.. The reader and easily finished Awakened and pick up Twisted without losing a beat. Even if, like myself, some time has passed since you read Awakened, slipping back into Kasadya's life takes nothing. As with Awakened, so to with Twisted, the reader is sucked quickly into the book. The reader will while understanding Kas' hurt and pain, will fully understand Chax's anger at her as well. Kas learned nothing while in hell except how to be more independant. Because of those two years, she's forgotten that she can not take on the world all alone even though she tries. When the plot of this part of the series comes into play, instead of going to Chax or any of the other Custos, Kas once again does not use her head.

There are a lot more characters brought into play in this one than in the last, and the emotions of the story are a lot stronger in this one. I will admit I almost cried more than once while reading this.

I found a handful of small, easily missed word switches but nothing major enough to impede the reader's flow.

Karen has woven this part of the series a lot better than she had Awakened and the reader will find it almost impossible to be destracted until the book is completed.

I was a little ticked about the ending.. but it's a good kind of ticked. The way this book ends will have the reader scream in frustration, go a little insane, and pace around like a caged animal while waiting for Hellhound Born to release.

Kudos Karen, you've written something I seem to be unable to get enough of >^.^<

I give this book 5 of 5 paws

Kasadya Levourne’s journey continues where we left her in Hellhound Awakened. She is in trouble and Chax may have reached his limits with patience.

Together with Raphael the archangel, Kas her team and the fallen sets out to save Kali from the evil demon prince Ballen. They save her but; the only way to keep her alive is in Exsilium. Chax forces Kasadya and her team to go back to Exsilium where they have to face the other fallen and their fate in this world.

They are ordered to complete their apprenticeship and are assigned to a trainer. But when Kali finally wakes up Kas finds out that another problem; a death charm set to kill Kali in six months, unless she can deliver relics to the evil prince. Again Kas takes it into her own hands to save her friend, but this time she messes up real bad.

Wow! Yet another action packed ride from Kasadya! I read this in one day, totally clued to the pages. Kas is not happy at all ending up as an apprendo again, most of all with Chax as her trainer, again. Her stubborn nature is even more epic in this one, but her protective nature was dominating. Kas tries to save the world, but she fails this time and Chax is there to take control. We also have a few more snippets about Chax and why he is such a hard person to figure out. In the end he really surprised me. I hope in Hellhound Born we are going to be released from this epic mystery.

Karen created yet another novel filled with battles and scenes that was easily pictured. I could see each swipe of the sword and each spec of blood. Her descriptive writing make the reader take an incredible journey with these characters. I loved the action between Nanini and Max and I was blown away at the end with their secret being revealed. I can’t wait to see what happens with these two. But even more, in Hellhound Born we will finally know who gets to tame the warrior Kasadya. I am so Team Chax on this one! Another well-deserved 5 stars, and I have a feeling the journeys to come are going to blow me away!

Quote from the book: “Knock them out,” I ordered and sent my sword’s backend straight into Chax skull. He staggered forward and then dropped.

“Kas!” Abby yelled behind me.

I turned and caught the triumphant smile on Nanini’s face when she advanced on Max. Oh I am going to hear about it tomorrow. I grabbed Ben and hit him with my sword, too, but unlike Chax he didn’t go down. Crap.

Kasadya is back from hell. After 2 years of kicking demon ass shes traded one hell for another. If you remember in the last book Kas and Kali escaped hell and caught up with the Fallen. They went after Ballen her capture however during this battle Kali was taken. So that is where Twisted picks up. Which was slightly a problem for me and trust when I say I cant believe this was an issue for me. But there is very little refresher content. Ive probably read 30 books since Kasadya Hellhound Awakened. And these days most series have diarrhea of the refresher content. *Cough* House of Night *cough*

So they get Kali back as she is near death this forces Kas to involve the halfbreeds. This development causes a lot of issues in Exsilium. The fallen are none too pleased with the abominations, though they get over it. And speaking of the Exsilium in the 2 years Kas was gone there were some major major changes. The demons attacked the human realm causing Exsilium to close itself off. Which is why Kas and Kali couldnt shift there after their escape. Many fallen were killed and fallen children were left orphans. There are more changes some personal some not. Dont look at me im not spoiling that for you! Read the book I promise you wont regret it.

So back in Exsilium with her friends and enemies as well as her group of halfbreeds ( who are her friends as well. Im basically just trying to distinguish between the 2 groups.) She must begin her schooling from the start. Chax is still her Custos which makes for frustration city!!! I mean have some hot and angry sex already!!! get it out your system! (Have I mentioned im slightly a pervert?) Although in this book Max has shown some interest so that adds a new element.

So through out the book it seems the more Kas tries the more she fucks up EVERYTHING! Her heart is in a good place. But she had a lot to learn. She is a great demon killing machine but its like her approach or follow through is off. Kas is strong in sooo many ways just I want her to stop and be real. She just holds everything in and tries to be the hero. Sometimes the hero is his or her own arch enemy.

Twisted is just another good prime example of why I love to read! Sure at times I was epically frustrated with Kas but it made for a good story and as a result I was left extremely satisfied. Again I bow down to Swart and her beautiful mind!

I read Kasadya Hellhound Twisted by Karen Swart. I recommend this book. It starts where book 1 left off. They are in the middle of a bar trying to kill demons and the Fallen show up with all her friends that she hasn't seen since she went to Hell. She greets her friends and goes to find Kali, but she is nowhere to be found. They all joined forces and with the help of an archangel Raphael, found Kali is the hands of Ballen, Gluttire. He had put her on a cross, bleeding her to out. More archangels showed up and more pinces of Hell show up. Finally, they get Kali, bruised, beaten and bleeding and take her to Exsilium. There has been a breach in Exsilium and many Fallen have died. That is why Exsilium is closed and to have access you have to have a special charm. After Kali is in Exsilium, Maia starts the healing her but needs help. Amon comes to help and brings his mate, a half breed, who has the ability to heal. Kasadya has to go before the councel to decide on her future. It is decided that she has not learned enough in Exsilium teaching, she must still have a cutos. It's Chax again. The Hellhouse is now an orphanage, so they go live in Chax's house. Chax is not excited. Many things happen and new twists around every corner! I love this story and can't wait to read the next! At the end, Kas makes a decision to pay a ransom for her friend's life but gets in big trouble and things start going cazy! I love this idea of the realms and differnet rules and such! Great imagination on the author's part!

Kas has fought hard, for the past 2 years she has been kept prisoner in Hell, fighting for her own survival and becoming the warrior she was born to be.
After her escape she soon learns much has changed in Exsilium in her absence and she must carry on and focus on her training to help the Fallen army fulfil their calling.
While adjusting to her new life back home she soon finds that she must choose her loyalties wisely, can she prevent the death of her friend by betraying everything she’s fighting for or will she destroy herself in the process?
I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I loved book 1 and was eager to get stuck in.t the conclusion to this part of Kas’
Starting from where book 1 left off this book carried me straight back into the world of Hellhounds and the Fallen. I was instantly hooked……..again!
Although written at a slower pace than the first this book is an absolute page turner and yet again I couldn’t put it down.
Characters old and new are brought together and work well, complimenting each other in the story.
The dialogue is written so the reader feels every emotion in every scene. Perfect for a book with so much happening.
The conclusion to this part of Kas’ story left me on such a cliff hanger I was shouting for more!!
The outcome of this I hope will be answered soon in Book 3……I need to know if it’s HIM!!
I love this series

Who has stayed up through the night reading a book knowing you'll be kicking yourself come morning. Little to no sleep, living in a fantasy world the author created. Closing your eyes... Nope not an option... Fighting heavy eyelids... Not a chance... No way, you're wide awake and turning pages no where near the end. Reaching the point of no return at 85% - 40 pages left and know that the time in this fantasy world will soon reach it's end. The pages fly by leaving you hanging by a thread, re-reading the last three pages over again and again all the while saying to yourself "NO WAY, IT CANNOT END LIKE THAT!"

Kas went through hell in Awakened - building courage and putting a wall up to survive. Now she's back in action saving those she cares about. Jumping into a situation over and over without thinking - messing up more than she could count. Fighting for survival at every turn, and dealing with Chax's bad attitude at every turn. Playing on her emotions numerous times, will she let her feelings ruin her life? Kas's emotions are her weakness, will Kas have the strength to survive her curse?

If you have not read Kasadya Hellhound Twisted, I suggest putting it on your to be read list... Reading Twisted without reading Kasadya Hellhound Awakened is not an option. Twisted picks up right where Awakened leaves off.

Favorite Line “For a phoenix to rise, it must first die.”

Man, another emotional bomb was dropped at the end of this book!
Kasadya tries and tries but that girl just can't stop and think before she does something. She has the best intentions but, that isn't enough!
First she finds out her blood turns demons back into humans which it totally not her fault me now
She is back in Exsilium with her friends the half breeds and Kali things should be getting easier right? WRONG! Kali has a death charm given to her by a demon prince and he has only agreed to take it off if Kass brings him the 4 blood relics. Shes decided if she is going to go BORN she will do so while killing demons but, only after she saves Kali SO, instead of telling Chax she gets the others to help and all hell breaks lose!

Betrayal, Confusion, and Anger are all Kass feels in this book a d it's so heartbreaking to read, I understand why she does it her way it, she never gets the whole story, Kass trusts non one and I completely understand why!
Will she survive this time? BELIEVE ME YOU WANT TO FIND OUT!!!
Another great book, written amazingly, with so many great characters! I can't wait for the next book and totally recommend this for all paranormal lovers!!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (Total Eclipse Reviews)

This book is the sequel to the first book Kasadya: Hellhound Awakened. I said before that the last book deserves more than 5 stars and I'm going to say it again about this book. Wow! This book also deserves more than 5 stars because it was brilliant!! Book 2 was just as exciting and entertaining as the first book and I can't help thinking about this book!! I believe this book is one of those books that stay with you forever. I bought this book early in the day yesterday and just finished with it in about 6 hours! I literally couldn’t put this book down. It had everything I love in a book. A great plot, amazing characters, and a twist that is unpredictable. I loved reading a scene and thinking "Oh Kasadya, what are you planning now." and then end up laughing because Kasadya’s character is always up to something and always manages to make me either laugh or cheer her on. I don't know if it’s because Kasadya is bold, brave, or funny, but I can't help but see her as one of my all time favorite characters now. She is simply and without a doubt, amazing!! I highly recommend this book and I can't wait for book 3 to come out! I am defiantly a big fan.

I thought the first book in this series was amazing. Book 2 was even better. After being rescued from Hell, literally, Kasadya is dealing with some major issues. First she has to fight The Demon Prince to get her friend Kalli back. Just when she thinks she is safe away from Hell, she finds a death charm on her friends neck. The Demon revealed what he wants in return to remove the charm. Kasadya goes on a hunt to find the items needed to save her friend from death. In the meantime she has training to do and Demon clubs to close down. Also finds out her blood may be a cure for Demons. In search of her charm in time before going Hellbound Born. Kasadya found where the items are being kept, putting her friends in danger. Even death. Chax finds out what Kasadya has done. She is in deep trouble and will have to live with the mistakes she has made. Even the possibility of someone she trusted betraying her. Will she be able to redeem herself before the Demons take over the human world? This book is a must read to find out!

This is yet another masterpiece! Twists, betrayals, and new found hope come from places you would never imagine in the heart pounding sequel to Hellhound Awakened. Alliances shift as fast as light and people are gunning for Kasandya from all directions. Even as she tried to harden her heart to survive the never ending blows she is forced to confront her worst enemy yet: herself. At this point I expected her character to crumble and the plot ultimately destroying the book, like has happened to me so many times in past. To my awed gratitude, Swarts effortlessly kept Kasadya both realistic and selfless. Though yes, the character does hit many rough spots, she never lost sight of what needed to be done. My highest praise goes to Karen Swats for accomplishing such an amazing feat. Now for the real question: How fast can I get the sequel?

Kas is still just as smart-mouthed as she was in the first book, "hey, don't look at me. I didn't have the option of choosing my company, so you can take that "what have you done?" look and shove it." I love it she's just so snarky, "can you blame me? you have a really bad way of telling someone something Chax and you totally freaked me out." Chax we start to see something in him perhaps its jealousy, maybe, "Chax's evil smile appeared. "Good, I will not tolerate your weakness in my house, and not around her." The cliffhanger was NOT okay, when I get into a good series I really get into it, and I hate when a book ends in a series with a cliffhanger because well Heather wants to know what happens.

Kasadya leads you once more on a rollercoaster of emotions and you do not know where the ride will end. This book is the second in a series and starts where the Hellhound Awakened has left off. Kas has many hard lessons to learn including the hardest of all lessons; learning how to trust. Her friends must carry on their training to earn the right to be Guardians. Through the twists and turns of this book, you feel the emotions along with Kasadya, laughing and crying, panic and fear. Well wrote and well worth the read.

Kasadya: Hellhound Twisted
Book #2 of the Kasadya Series

I loved the first book, and couldn’t wait to jump into this book and see where it was all going to lead. Hellbound Twisted didn’t disappoint, and I soon found myself completely immersed in their lives again. Just as well written, the characters come to life and all are such important aspects that work well together. A few twists and turns kept me fully gripped from start to finish, now I just have to wait until the next instalment to see how this will all work out.

AH-MA-ZING! I read this book in 6 hours. This is complete non stop, heart pumping, action packed goodness full of character & storyline break throughs. This series seriously gets better and better with every book. I don't think I could have handled reading this series as it was released. Waiting for the next book would have just been to much for me. And I love love love how the next book in the series starts literally 10 seconds after the last book ends. You never miss a minute of anything that happens. Off to read the the last book in the series!

BUGGER... I've been wanting to reread this series again for a while, and finally got to it... And I'm REALLY REALLY struggling with it. The level of violence from the good guy/s to the good guy/s, especially the H/h is turning my stomach. It's not domestic violence or anything so simple... It's 'training' and 'control' and an asshole disassociated(?) H who stomps around like a mega asshole and only interacts with her with violence and aggression and he KNOWS she has issues coming with the simple fact of who she is (hell hounds are designed that way), and he still screams at her and 'beats' her and becomes aggressive when he's trying to force her to trust him and tell him shit, rather than continue on her TSTL ways that endanger everybody. The dude's THOUSANDS of years old and has had endless apprentices, and been told repeatedly forever by everyone that he's methods are too harsh... but he never stops to think of trying something else... EVER, even just for ONE conversation! PLUS there's MORE to this one and he knows it from the start, and then MORE happens to her and he changes NOTHING, and then MORE MORE happens to her that further changes the rule book, and he just some-f'ing-how gets WORSE!

This reread, I just can't imagine how I got so far with the others. I'm not sure I can even bring myself to read the next book, cause obviously I know what happens, and all I can think is how many different ways I would write the fu speech. There's NOTHING redeeming about him at all, and while I know there is some stuff in the later books... I just can't imagine how I got that far with this much in their face violence with no moderation in their (his) world. I would rather her say no, stomp her TSTL teenage tanty foot and watch her light the world on fire ending the book in two paragraphs than watch her play this game in the next book!

And yes, it is (as below) still driving me insane how she 'grew up' with the previous hell detour, and reverted to a dumbass TSTL teenage bimbo... WHO CAN RARELY EVER FIGHT in this book. She kicks ass against demons and kicks a mega demons ass too... but bumbles around like a weak ass toddler whenever it's convenient for the story... like when HES beating her. It's not that he always wins, cause he is GOOD and we have been sure to be told it, it's that she barely ever actually gets to put up a REAL fight against him. It's bumbling newborn shit all over the place.

Anyway, apparently this reread has found a whole keyboard of my buttons and has gone to town for a million word typing fest, cause ITS ALL bugging me this time!

***

This is an overall review for the series (4 books).

It's pretty good. It's easy to connect with characters and the plots interesting.

The world building is good too... It's just that almost all the world rules are extremely flexible, and some of them only get followed when it's not easier for the author to forget them. There are quite a few things that left me thinking 'wtf just happened... that shouldn't be possible', or 'that should be possible because they have already done something similar'. It can get a bit confusing and the continuity issues are irritating, along with small editing mistakes that seem to get more frequent as the books progress.

Also, without too many spoilers, Kas faces huge challenges in early books and grows up, but reverts to stroppy annoying oblivious teenager in the next one. Any growth she had made was lost and then some.

Overall I liked it, and will probably reread at some point, but I wish the author would have put a little more work into it before hitting publish.

Oh, and as an aside, the author makes it clear later in the series that the 4th book is the final in the series... but then at the end if the 4th goes 'surprise, this may be the final for this series, but I'm writing another series about the support characters in this series'. No big deal right? We all love a spin off. Well yes we do love a spin off... but the way she's done this one annoys me no end. We aren't just getting a spin off series about support characters who were interesting in this series, but characters who actively had their story started (at least for two of the upcoming books) in this series. So it's not just a hint and tickle the imagination, but a slap and drag you into the next series. So in effect, she's simply left another cliffhanger, which I hate, but have been able to forgive in the first series because the series is complete. Now we have a cliffhanger and wait from one series to the next... which (from this side of their release and read) don't really seem like a new series, but just more books/characters in the same series.

While I really enjoyed the first book, This one completely lost me. I found myself very bored and uninterested in the plot or the characters.

I received this book from the author, Karen Swart, and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock. Kasadya Hellhound Twisted is the second book of a four book series written about Kasadya. WARNING: If you have not read Kasadya Hellhound Awakened then this review might contain spoilers, so read Kasadya Hellhound Awakened first and then come back to read this book.

This book is about Kasadya, who is now about nineteen years old. At the end of the first book Kasadya had started her Fallen training but was taken to Hell and had to find a way out. After Kasadya, along with another Fallen captured with her named Kai escape they had taken up with another Fallen who was fighting Demons, but with humans, which is against the Fallen laws so he is an outcast. So when a human was about to die Kasadya let him drink some of her blood and he turned into a partial Fallen. Now Kasadya has to return to face the Fallen council for her actions. Also Kasadya has to find a way to save Kali again.

This book was awesome! I finished the first book and was so glad I had the second book to start immediately. The reader gets to learn even more about the characters and just really gets drawn into the story. I finished this book really fast as I had a really hard time putting it down. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books about shape shifters or paranormal style characters. Also this is a great book for people who like books where good is fighting against evil.

I’m giving this book 5 fangs.

Lies, deceit, and distrust lie around every corner. No one is to be trusted and every move made will be a gamble in life or death. Kasadya's loyalties and skills will be tested beyond their limits and the choices she makes will effect not only her, but the entire world. She is the world's only hope, and she holds the fate of the world in her hands. But is she truly worthy of this most important responsibility? Only time will tell.

Kas really seems to be getting a hold of her powers. She has grown in so many ways, but she is still (in many ways) the same stubborn young girl we have known from Hellhound Awakened. He is still immature when it comes to following the rules laid out to her by her Custos Chax, and fights him at every opportunity. She is one girl who refuses to obey. On top of that, she is quick to trust the word of others, and often puts her trust in the wrong people, which will definitely come back to bite her some day. Kas's only hope is that she might survive to see the end of this centuries'-long-war. But that might just prove to be too much to wish for.

I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock. Hellhound Twisted the second book in the Kasadya series by Karen Swart was more than what i was expecting. After being stuck in hell and loosing track of time and everything that is not surviving Kasadya has become the warrior that nobody expected. Forced to kill to survive she is now a force to be reckoned with. Once able to escape she realizes all the bad things that had been happening since her kidnapping and that Chax the person she least expected branded her as a traitor and demon lover. Now she has to fight to save all the fallen and the humans and during that journey become something that no one expected.
Once again i found myself not able to put the book down and captivated with Karen Swarts work. cant wait for the next chapter!!!!

A strong sequel, and honestly a better book then the first. Fallen angels, demons, archangels, love story, i mean what more could you want? Kas has returned to Exsulim and back with the Fallen, but must face the consequences of her time spent in hell. In Hellhound Twisted, Kas has come into her own as a warrior, the only downside is sometimes (actually quite a bit) she's still an annoying selfish little twit. However, I have absolutely fallen in love with Chax... and I can only hope after the end of this one that in the next one... well he can save Kas. I enjoy the character development in this book, and the story is strong. Still had grammatical issues, and the use of the word 'yip' is frustrating, but other then that a good read. 3.5 stars
