Denver in Flames recounts in compelling, journalistic fashion the triumphs and tragedies of the Mile High City's firefighters, and the disastrous fires they fought between 1863 and 1974.
Interesting. The writing style is a bit disorganized and repetitive. It also ends rather abruptly and has no wrap-up or conclusion, which seemed a bit odd. Learning about Denver’s fire history was kinda neat though.
This book had some interesting and well researched stories from Denver's history, but it desperately needs editing. Lots of repetitiveness, sidebars that feel out of place (and at least one that appeared twice...with slightly different dates), and no real conclusion.
