The Simple Art of Winning by Rick McKinney is an extremely informative book. Rick McKinney walks his readers through all the key elements to become a successful archer. He covers everything from physical fitness to getting through a slump to tuning your bow, and everything in between. It is a great book for both experts and beginners. I highly recommend this book to all archers and coaches.

Currently out of print, this title is still available second-hand or new from some archery shops.

I bought a copy after seeing it recommended on a few archery sites and forums. This book and 'The Heretic Archer' (by Vittorio and Michele Frangilli) seem to be the two most often recommended by archery experts.

Although relatively old now (it was published in 1996) it offers a comprehensive rundown on all aspects of archery form, together with technical tips on tuning, mental focus, exercises etc. from a champion archer.

The book is entirely about recurve archery.

I found it an easy, informative, read and very useful.
