This book isn't for everyone. It's a bit new age-y and not everyone will be open to all of the suggestions that the author gives. However, I have been feeling that I have let rational thought take over my life and have been wanting to get back to more intuitive thinking and decision making so this book was perfect for me.

When I’ve asked for advice about a difficult decision, I’ve been told, “Follow your gut feeling.” There’s a lot of wisdom in this words, and yet, they’ve been so overused that they have lost their meaning.

“Follow you gut feeling” has become what we tell others when we want to free ourselves from the sometimes awkward position of problem-solvers, or when we just don’t know what to say. We’ve turned these wise words into cookie-cutter sentences of the same kind as “Make yourself busy,” “It’ll get better,” or “You’ll be fine.”

But what really is a gut feeling? And how can we harness the power of our intuition?

Sonia Choquette answers these questions in Tune In-Let Your Intuition Guide You to Fulfillment and Flow. This book coaches us through the four steps to tune in to our intuition and follow our Spirit: waking up, digging deep, taking the leap, and entering the flow.

Sonia presents the four steps in a way that stirred deep contemplation in me. She illustrates the lessons with stories from her practice and her own life. I was able to relate these stories to the experiences of people in my life, and even to my own story. The most enriching part of each step was the list of questions for reflection at the end of each section, which helped me get to know myself even better. I realized how I had been removed from my true calling for years until recently, and I felt reassured that the path I’ve chosen is the one my soul desires.

Internalizing the information in Tune In was effortless to me. As Choquette says, “Tuning in to your intuition isn’t as big a deal as it might seem because it is, after all, the way you were naturally designed to live.”

Tuning in to our intuition means being consciously aware. Awareness immediately tames our ego and dissolves the limiting beliefs programmed into our subconscious mind since we were little kids.

Sonia reminds us that using our intuition is a practice, and that setbacks might happen. We learn to be patient as we fine tune our ability to tap into the infamous “gut feeling.” I particularly loved the book’s beautifully-written afterword. I felt as though I was reading a letter from a friend who truly cared about me.

I’ve found out (the hard way) that when I don’t follow my intuition, painful experiences usually follow. This book is a marvelous reminder of the power harnessed within each of us, and it’s of great help as we advance on the path to self-actualization. I thoroughly recommend Tune In!

As Sonia says," Acting on our intuition is one of the most empowering choices we can make in our lives. We can't control the outside world, but by tuning in, listening to our Spirit, and following our intuition, we can begin to chart a new course - one that brings about deep satisfaction and personal peace-regardless of what's going on around us."

She continues," Listening to the voice of your intuition-instead of the voice of your fears and other people's wishes and instructions-will bring about, over time, a deep-seated, unwavering sense of profound integrity, creative inspiration, and grounded soul purpose."

Deciding to follow your intuition is the easy part, carrying it out isn't quite so easy. You can be challenged time and again to face your fears and stand up for your truths. Tuning out the pressures of the outside world can be difficult at times, however the resulting changes will mean you will never go back to the old way of letting your fears be your guide.

Sonia divides learning the discipline of intuition into four steps:
1. Waking up; 2. Digging Deep; 3. Taking the Leap; 4. Entering the Flow.

The instruction that she gives is easy to follow, is inspiring, is suitable for both beginners and experienced in this genre.

Lets say I am one of the more experienced readers in this genre having written 3 books myself on developing intuition, however I did enjoy the simplicity and the way she has illustrated the steps with descriptive story. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers of all levels.

A great guide on how to find and be the real YOU!!

A clear, concise and enjoyable book, for anyone seeking who they really are. If you are reading this review, then you did so for a reason and should know that this book will help. If it takes a couple of times reading it to fully understand the real you, that is o.k. Best wishes to all.

Another good read from Sonia Choquette with lots of great daily rituals to try to awaken and stay connected to your Intuition. It has a bit of a workbook feel & contains questions for you to answer with each concept. I might need to revisit them one day as I mainly focused on reading the stories and rituals. Overall, I enjoyed this read 👍🏽😊

Hm. Eh. I dunno. For someone brand spankin' new to the concepts of intuition, setting intentions, self-reflection, and self-growth, I suppose this book could do a lot of good. It's written in a very straight-forward manner that often uses stories as examples to drive each point home. For aaaanyone else with even the smallest idea on any of these topics, this book may just feel frustrating and repetitive.

The book was a good read but most of the book was based more on younger people.

Follow your gut. We all know the answer to any major dilemma in our lives is to follow our gut. In fact, that seems to be the “pat” answer we are given when we ask our friends and family for advice … just follow your gut. But how many of us are actually in tune enough with our own gut intuition to be able to put it in practice?

Sonia Choquette has written a mini workshop-in-a-book that teaches us how to connect to our internal source of guidance in 4 steps. Sonia poses some insightful questions for personal reflection that really get you thinking. Also, I really liked the concept of having a personal altar set up to recharge your energies and help you connect.

This book is an easy read (with pauses for reflection) and full of anecdotal stories from Sonia’s life and practice that make it quite relatable. This book is appropriate for all, regardless of your stage of spiritual development. Author Sonia Choquette holds a PhD in Metaphysics and is world renowned as a teacher and intuitive guide.

This book, that promises us the way to get in touch with our inner spirit didn´t convince me at all: on the one hand it seems to me that the spirit is not nothing but our inner kid as Berne would have said, on the other the construction of a small altar makes me shudder.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND HAY HOUSE FOR THE PREVIEW!

Another gentle and perfect Sonia book that came to me just when I needed it. She leads the reader step-by-step how to notice our intuitive nudgings and being more aware of our choices and why we make them. She has journal prompts at the end of each chapter to fully tap into our thoughts, as well as ideas for simple daily practices to focus our attention inward. It's doable, simple, yet can lead to profound life shifts. Recommend.

My word for the year is "flow" so I bought this book to help me attune to my theme for the year. This is the sixth of Sonia's books I've read. Most of the beginning was review from her other teaching, but I kept reading and was glad I did. Chapter Six was worth getting to and had what I needed to hear.

Listen to your heart, calm your mind, breathe deep, answer some questions. You'll hear your intuition and your life, should you choose to follow that newly unearthed voice, will change. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

It's a leap of faith, basically, and some of us don't have feet with which to jump. No amount of breathing is going to give us feet.

If I could I'd go another 1/2 star for this book. It takes both a practical and explanatory angle to explain how to connect with your intuition/higher self. The practical exercises are useful and not too time consuming to undertake.

I found the author's writing style relaxing to read in itself. The information inside the book was a bonus. I plan to continue to use, learn, and grow from this.

This one is a re-read for me as there are exercises that are intended to be done throughout the book. I will need to do the exercises to be able to wholeheartedly review it.
