"A wild ride. Positively clogged with scientific information." —Kirkus Reviews
The adventure continues in Survive! Inside the Human Body, Volume 2 with an amazing journey through the circulatory system.
In this volume, our heroes Geo and Dr. Brain face hostile white blood cells, Phoebe's powerful heartbeat, and a bruise that threatens to suck them out of the bloodstream and leave them stranded forever! As you follow their fast-paced comic adventure through Phoebe's blood, heart, and lungs, you'll learn all about the human circulatory system.
Great introduction to how the human body functions for kids (who are close to middle school).
The 3-book set is a comical exposition about digestive, circulatory, and nervous systems in the human body. The comic is interspersed with bite-size information about specific organs. Kids interested in learning about how a human body functions would really like this. It would also serve as a great read-together book for parents and kids.
The Book Was About How To Survive Inside The Human Body. And How To Treat Pain And Sickness. I Like That It Was Funny. This Book Is Very Good To Teach About The Body. I Did Not like that Phoebe almost Died. She Fainted In A Party Because Geo And Dr.Brain Were Inside Her And She Didn’t Know That. I Recommend This Book To Scientists Because It Is A Science Book. Also To Teachers Because This Book Is Very Good To Teach
Great continuation of the series, and perfect for middle grade/early high school (depending on a child's comprehension skills). Still can't get over how much information is packed into this graphic novel.
I was lucky enough to get this series for free through a Goodreads contest. I am a homeschool mom and am always looking for fun ways to get my kids interested in various different subjects. They both loved this book. They are already big comic book fans. The layout of this book was perfect for them. They kept coming to tell me about some new part of the body they just learned about. Apparently the body is both gross and fascinating. As mom/teacher I really appreciated every few pages there was a write up on a part of the anatomy that was covered in previous pages. This is a great series. I would definitely recommend it.
As a teacher, it was great to see an informational text in regards to the circulatory system presented in this way! I particularly liked the information provided in the middle of the book as well. Enjoyed reading this text, and the others in the series too!
I won this as a giveaway and was delighted that the author included all three volumes!! I read them with my seven year old son right away and he loved everything about them. The colors are great and the information was at the perfect level for my smart little man.
