Her recent brush with death has made Skye realize that life is precious and she wastes no time telling the one she loves how she feels about him.

But, Amun finds out that someone interfered with Skye's transformation and the intrusion makes him livid. He gives Skye 7 days to come to him or he threatens to begin killing the ones she loves most. First off i want to say i love love the cover for Legacy of Blood it is just beautiful and the best so far. When i was asked to read the ARC for this book there was no way in hell i was going to say No after the cliffhanger of The Original Sin i needed to know what happened next.Well that and because i totally adore this series.

And oh boy it was like coming home to family it was so good to catch up with Skye,Archer and the boys i missed them.

J.L.MCoy knows how to draw you in with this series it just gets better and better, from the sexual tension to the fight scenes and one pretty hot sex scene and of course the love Archer's family show each other this is another HIT for me and it's going to kill me to wait for book 5.

Amun wants Skye and he's not the only one. With waking up a Vampire and everyone around her not sure how she is going to be,she doesn't have long to Adjust. The An Dilis put a guard on Skye to watch her every move and with Archer teaching her the In's and outs of being a Vampire they quickly learn she is very different to anything they have known. With Amun getting to Skye in her dreams she finds herself having to face trials to prove Amum doesn't have control over her.

And Skye kicks ass big time in these trials and you find yourself cheering her on.We do find out some surprising things about Skye which make her more powerful then anyone thought.GIRLPOWER :) And it is very humbling when all Archer's children except her into the family and she even finds out a little something about one of them that shocks her a bit *giggles.*

And yes oh yes oh yes we finally get the scene we all have been waiting for well Archer fan's that is.

And yes it is a hot hot sexy scene and i loved it. The An Dilis want to use Skye to draw out Amun and with a ring that Amum left for Skye they find out that when she puts it on she can see where he is.so a plan is put in place. But it doesn't go well and Amum escapes.

Skye goes back to the club to work in the VIP area of course and Trey goes missing but before anyone knows what happens an old friend Dean shows up wanting to see Skye and he doesn't like what he See's but agrees to try and be friends.Happy she still has Dean on her side she starts to get a headache and when they get to much Skye faints she See's who has Trey and runs off to save him.

What happens next makes me want to kill Amun myself there are great fight scene's and another shock in store for them all Amun has played them well.

And near the end Jameson is called back to heal Skye and the scene's that follow are alittle sad and i totally get where Jameson is coming from but i have my fingers crossed that they will be friends again.I love the relationship Archer and Skye have and hope it grows stronger and stronger. With word getting out what Skye is everyone wants to see her and this is where the story and her journey will continue in book 5 can't wait.

"Legacy of Blood" is another good installment in the Skye Morrison Vampire series. This time Amun is back causing problems for Skye and the gang.

Skye has been turned into a vampire but us showing characteristics of the dark one. The special squad is brought in to determine whether she is an abomination and should be put to death. Until the determination is made, she is guarded non stop by Oleif from the special squad. He makes it more than clear of his dislike for her.

Skye initially has trouble feeding. It seems her new vampire body cannot digest bagged blood. She manages to control herself while drinking from the human feeders but they gain a climatic ecstasy. This is where I am really starting to get fed up. I'm so sick and tired of everyone lusting after Skye and her lusting after every male with a member. Enough already!

Unbeknownst to poor trustworthy Jameson, Skye and Archer are now together. Unlike most fans, I like Jameson better. He is kind, considerate, sexy and just an overall good guy. Archer basically forebears Skye at every turn, mind raped her and had some of his men do it too. I'm like Jameson and cannot understand why she chose him. I also don't see how Jameson can be around either Skye or Archer. Neither deserves his friendship.

There will be a big show down between Archer and his gang versus Amun. The result will prove to be surprising and problematic. While I enjoyed this read, the series is beginning to lose some of its luster for me. The cheesy declaration s of everyone's undying love for Skye and the corny endearments ( honey, sweetie, girlfriend) has finally put me on overload. I am definitely ready for this series to begin wrapping up.

Legacy of Blood

Book four in the Skye Morrison series, I was desperate to read this book after the cliffy in book 3!

With Skye now turned, this book takes us in a different direction. As we don't know if Skye is s goodie or baddie? So she's to be tested by the faithful, it's not going to be pretty!

Hagan takes on a bigger role in this book and I loved his take no nonsense characther in this book. If your looking for a heart throb then look no further than Archer, his is so cute and caring, but let's not forget about Jameson, I so felt for him but I think we all knew she was meant for Archer!

In short this book has so much going on, I loved it, I didn't want to put it down. All the characthers grew in this book in my opinion, Skye seemed to grow up, but don't fret she's still an opionated, I'll say what I want woman

Wow Once I started this book I could not put it down I had to know what happen next. Skye Morrison never thought she would become a vampire until she wakes up and wonders what happen to her. She doesn't won't this life but she has no choice. Amun is a bad vampire who kidnapped Skye, and now he is in her dreams visiting her. Soon Skye realize's that Amun was the one who did this. Archer had no choice but to give Skye his Blood he did not won't to lose her. Archer and Skye finally confess their feelings for each other. I can't wait for book 5 to see what happens next. I could go on about this awesome book but i do not won't to ruin it for you guys!!!

After the cliffhanger ending in book 3, we were left with the decision that Skye made and the choice Archer made for her... Skye's adjustment to her new immortality was at times hilarious... Amun is lusting after his creation and has given her an ultimatum and the final battle between Skye and Amun was pretty heart breaking...well for now anyway...I felt really bad for Jameson - really, really bad...but she made her choice and they all have to live with it...bring on book 5!!!!!

Skye Morrison has learned that vampires and werewolves are real. Since finding all that out, she has fallen in love with one, and secretly has a crush on another one. Being involved with vampires has changed her world, with being kidnapped and the worst that could happen…dying.

After waking up in a casket, Skye is faced with her fear. She is now a vampire and it wasn’t by her own choosing. It was either turn her or let her die, and Archer did what he thought was best and that was to make Skye one of them. Skye is something different from all other Day Walkers and Dark Ones. Since Amun breathed a part of his soul into her when he kidnapped her, this has made her something that no one has ever seen before.

What is she exactly? This is what they will have to find out. She can’t drink blood from a bag, it will make her sick. She can only drink blood from a donor, and when that happens her venom gives the blood donor a BIG SURPRISE. If she drinks from another vampire, she is able to take their power and have it for a few weeks. Skye also hold the eye color of The Dark One. When she gets angry….they turn pitch black. Otherwise, her eye color is white with black pupils. That isn’t normal. She isn’t like your regular newborn; she is able to control herself as well.

With her having been infected by Amun previous to her turning into a Day Walker, Skye will have to prove she is good and if they determined she is a Dark One, like Amun, they will give her the final death. With the Army of An Dilis, Skye will have to perform a few tests given by Ruara and Brothers of the Army of The Faithful. After going through all these test it is up to them to decide if they will let her live. And surprisingly they do, and offer her to placement in a very surprising place.

With having passed the tests and having her life still intact, it is now time to think about how to get to Amun. He wants Skye to meet him in a week to become his bride, and if not he will start killing all her loved ones. Will they be able to get to Amun and kill him, or will having Amun breathing a part of his soul in Skye affect her if they try to kill him? If so, how will they go about making Amun no more?

Archer and Skye’s start trying to have a relationship finally. He is her maker, which makes their bond that much more. Will they finally become a couple? Oh, you will just have to wait and see

In this book, Jameson isn’t in it till the end. All the while he doesn’t know about Skye being a vampire, or what is going on with her. The last time he saw her, she wanted nothing to do with him, but finally they need Jameson for his healing. He soon finds out what has been going on while he was gone, on top of finding out Archer and Skye are in love with each other. Jameson is heartbroken. Can he ever forgive Skye and Archer?

Skye Morrison is even better as a kick ass vampire with her own Divine Power! What is that? It is something none of the other vampires have ever seen before, and it is super cool. What do you think her Divine Power is? To top it off Skye is a phenomenon, a rock star in their race, and with her Sacred vow ceremony coming up, everyone is excited to meet the infamous Skye Morrison.

Legacy of Blood was great from the begging to the end. We get to finally see Skye as a vampire and see her struggles of accepting it and showing everyone she isn’t evil like Amun. And for those who love Archer we get some Archer and Skye loving and I think I’m finally TEAM ARCHER! YES I SAID IT! Lol. LoB was written very well and kept you turning the pages or, in my case, sliding my finger. I love vampire Skye. I can’t wait for the next book to see how she grows into her new immortal life. LoB was action packed and kept you guessing, which I loved. The only person who was missing until the end of the book was Jameson, I was sad to not have him in the book, but all the other characters are there, and we get to meet new ones. J.L. McCoy hit it out of the park again with Legacy of Blood! I give this book 5 HUGE STARS.

“I want to be the person everyone thinks I am, but the reality is so far from it. I’m irrevocably flawed and I have issues that you know nothing about.”-Skye

“Imagining the rest of my life without you in it wasn’t very appealing either. I love you, Skye Morrison; I love you from the deepest part of my being. I never want to go through what I’ve been through in the last five days ever again. It was soul crushing not being able to look into your eyes or hear your voice.”-Archer

“You held it all, Skye…everything I had. I love you, even after all the bullshit you put me through, but I’m letting you go. I have to make my heart move on before loving you fucking kills me.”- Jameson

Will Skye be able to survive long enough to enjoy her new life now that Amun is hunting her and everyone she loves? Don't miss Legacy of Blood, the fourth installment in the popular Skye Morrison Vampire Series brought to you by author J.L. McCoy.

~My Review~

Oh how I longed for this book. This has become one of my favorite series of all time and J.L. McCoy does not disappoint.

Skye Morrison awakens and yes she is a vampire. Not just any vampire, a special kind of kick ass vampire. She is so special that when she feeds off of another human being, well lets just say it is a mind blowing, hot experience. It is mucho caliente!

Skye is immediately thrown into a world of confusion and having to prove herself to those around her including the An Dilis (The Faithful). Not to mention the fact that she is learning about herself, what she can do and how to control these new abilities.
Skye is watched by a guard named Oleif. She is not allowed to be out of his sight. Skye must face some true tests and prove that she is not of Amun's kind. She must pass these tests in order for the the An Dilis to let her live. During these tests Skye will learn many things about herself.

Eventually Skye has to help the An Dilis lure Amun to them. This doesn't go so well the first go around. The fight scene that takes place the second time between Amun, Skyes vamp family and the An Dilis is gruesome, action packed and awesome!

There are many crazy obstacles Skye faces with her loved ones. When Trey comes up missing, Skye will do anything to save him from Amun.

The hot and sexy love scene I have been waiting for.....finally happens. It left me breathless and wanting more. Archer is the sexiest vamp I would like to know and oh does he give it good. *laughs*

I love what J.L. McCoy did with the end of this book and once again refuse to give any of it away.
I also want to add that this was the most impressive and beautiful cover of all. My absolute favorite.

J.L. McCoy gave us what we wanted and has taken a step into the most awesome direction imaginable. She is on a path of absolute genius with these characters in my opinion and has of course left me begging for more.

"Legacy Of Blood" by J.L. McCoy is the fourth book in the "Skye Morrison Vampire Series" and it picks right up where the third book "The Original Sin" left off, with Skye awaking to discover she was turned into a vampire, but different as any vampire ever created before, and sired by both Amun and the vampire Archer Rhys. While she is adjusting to her new life, learning all about being a vampire, she also has to prove to the army "An Dilis" (The Faithful) that she is not a monster like Amun and not a danger to them or society.
Amun wants Skye, his daughter and mate, in every way possible and when he finds out that someone interfered with Skye's transformation, he is furious. He gives her seven days to come to him or he will kill everyone she loves.
After having the Faithful's trust, Skye has to help them to draw out Amun. With the ring, one of Amun's presents, that he left for her, they find out that when she puts it on she can see where Amun is. Also with the help of Skye's friend Dean and his pack, who at first doesn't like the idea of her being a vampire but still willing to give a chance to their friendship, they plan to go after Amun. But it doesn't work well and Amun escapes.
In the meantime Skye refuses to stay at home and decides to go back to the club to work where Trey goes missing...
...if you want to know what happens in this book then go pick it up!

Besides that Skye is a vampire now, we find some things about her which makes her powerful and different than the other vampires. Because of her recent brush with death, she realizes that life is precious which brings her to tell the one person she loves how she feels about him.
I also can say that there are some hot scenes especially one that we have been waiting for a very long time. We really can see that their relationship has grown. I did enjoy and love all their scenes. Some of them are really emotional. *sigh*
And even if I'm 100% Skye/Archer shipper, I feel sorry for Jameson. It hurts me to see him in pain. I hope that Skye and Jameson can fix their relationship...being friends again, even if it's going to take a while.

I also enjoyed to see the rest of the family. Love them all in different ways.

All in all, I loved and enjoyed this book very much. It's a fast-paced story filled with action and emotion, twists and turns. Interesting characters, well written,....J.L. McCoy did an amazing job!!!

I'm definitely looking forward for the next book in this Series, I highly recommend this!!

The more that I read the series the more I get into them.

Skye Morrison is a woman that has found out that the unbelievable is really the believable. She puts on such a strong front but she is really holding deep secrets that make her doubt her true worth. She hates being lied to and having choices taken out of her hands. That is what she felt had been done to her. In this book things change and the adventure becomes even more exciting.

Archer Is a vampire and Skye had worked for him at his club. He knew with everything that had happened that he was going to have to let her go. That all changed when she was cut by a sword and her life was slipping away from her. Archer did what he had to do for the woman that he loves and turn her into what she didn’t want to be…a vampire.

I love how the author just keeps you in suspense with every single book. You are kept on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. I have been wanting Archer and Skye to be together and I was beginning to think that it would never happen. You can feel all the emotions that they have been going through from the very beginning. You know they love each other but they fight it so others won’t get hurt.

I believe the scene with the trial that Skye has to go through to prove she is worthy to live is the most nail biting experience that I have read in awhile. I was feeling all the emotions that Skye was going through. I was so scared and wondering what would happen next.

Just when I think that this would be the last book and I would have to let the series go I find out that there is another book. I have two feelings at once. I was happy to know that I would get to read even more and surprise because I was wondering what else this author could pull out of her imagination. What more can she give us and will we see an end to the evil Amun? Now I hate that I will have to wait for awhile to read the fifth book in the series.

I just want to tell the author that I have really enjoyed reading every single one of the books in this series. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves vampires and wolves. You get romance, laughs, sadness and adventure.

I am rating this series as a whole and not book by book.

I am always excited when I hear about a new series. Especially a vampire series. My first one was the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. After that, I was hooked. I find such great pleasure in knowing there are continuations to such wonderful books!!

This series got better and better. From book one, Blood of the Son, to this book, J.L. takes us on a action packed ride that doesn't disappoint.

In this final book, Skye can't seem to catch a break. If it isn't one enemy it's another. The Dark Ones all wants a piece of her. I see more and more that there are people who use her in order to gain power. But, there is one things good going for her; Archer. Each and every time I read about him, I fall in love all over again. What a piece of man!! Let me say that this book is not for the immature!! It is very sexy and hot so if you can't handle the heat, stay out of the fire!!

Skye is a very good character. She is stubborn but she loves with all her heart. She is surrounded by good friends and plenty of love, even if her life isn't as normal as it should be. Archer is very sexy and determined. His love for Skye is astounding and I would give both my legs for it :) Dean is a riot!! I love that he is always giving Skye "another option" even in front of Archer. It makes me laugh!! He is always causing trouble but always makes sure he does it in front of Archer.

The action scenes in all of these books are great. They keep me on the edge of my seat and make me want more. I always feel satisfied when I finish one of these books. I always feel like all the loose ends are tied up and I can start the next book without being in the dark. That is a lot to say. Some writers feel like leaving loose ends make you want to read the next one more and that isn't always true. It could turn me off from finishing. But not this series.

Congrats to you J.L. for such a wonderful series. I read each one and loved each one. They were passionate and exciting. Phenomenal writing and seamless delivery each and everytime! I am definitely a new fan!!

I anticipated this book and was so pleased to have the opportunity to have the chance to get my hands on an ARC copy, and I must say yet again J.L.McCoy hasn’t disappointed with this one.

This is book four of a series that has had me gripped from book one, as soon as I finish the latest book, I find myself thinking about the next. After the end of the third book I wanted to find out what would happen next as the ending had me on the edge of my seat, this book started and had me gripped straight away.

As I began to read, I felt myself being dragged in Skye’s world yet again. I could understand her feelings towards Amun, her confusion and hatred had me wanting to help kill him! When Skye emerged from her transformation and had to deal with all of the changes that were happening and more, I found myself Laughing and crying. When she first feeds, I was experiencing her embarrassment with the situation.

It difficult to say too much about Skye’s and Archers developing relationship without giving too much away, but it’s certainly well written and as promised there are some ‘hot’ escapades and it’s about time Archer showed his sensual side and let it all out rather than reserved. As the book progressed as did the relationships between the characters. They took on a gradual and easy paced read, which kept me as a reader gripped. I picked the book up and didn’t stop reading until I had finished, I found myself being taken on an emotional journey with lots of laughs, loving and tears. I found the ending to be well written and yet again wondering what is going to happen in the next adventure of Skye Morrison.

Well done to J.L.McCoy, this is a fantastic read and I will be encouraging friends to grab themselves a copy and get reading!! I eagerly await the next adventure and can’t wait to hear what is happening with the whole gang!

Wow, oh wow!! This book didn’t disappoint me.

I opened to the first page to be induced and transported back into the world of Caleb, Olivia, Jax and Gemma. I started to read and couldn’t put the book down. I wasn’t surprised as I had had the same experience with the first two books, the storyline wrapped around me and enfolded me thoroughly taking me on the journey.

Not only was I taken on Caleb’s and Olivia’s journey I found myself being taken in by the tremendous events that surrounded Jax and Gemma’s lives. I found myself willing the best for all of them, wishing to be able to surround them with love and wishing them well.

I experienced a feeling of pure hatred for Celeste and found myself wishing I could help to end her, I was shocked at certain events as I didn’t see them and I would like to say that that added to the unfolding story. I was pleased when a certain dark character got his just deserts. I eagerly cheered on all that was good and was pleased that many of the characters made a re-appearance within the covers of this book.

The plot to the story is very strong, I was taken on a roller coaster ride, I was laughing and then crying. Yet again I find myself unashamed to admit that I cried, yet this time I cried for Gemma! This is a tale of undying love and wishes, there are sides to Caleb, that you find out and I was surprised, but his gentle nature is still there. The ending of the story is neatly wrapped up and well written, I was satisfied with the ending and felt it completely tieed up all loose ends.

I enjoyed another and the final instalment to this series, I look forward to reading more of Christine’s work.
Well done Christine, a brilliant ending to a powerful series and I eagerly await your next book. I give this book a five star rating.

So after seriously wanting to slap Skye in The Original Sin for her behaviour, particularly towards the lovely Trey, I was relieved to see her back at almost her kick-ass self! Some of Skye's exchanges with Ruarc and Olief had me literally laughing out loud, and I felt this was the part of Skye the reader had missed during her darker times.
In Legacy for Blood there is a transition for all the characters as they adjust to developments and the reader has a different perspective as we view the vampires and events through Skye's new eyes.
Although the plot is a continuation from previous books J L McCoy has a way of making it new and refreshing, charming the reader with the fantasy of the vampiric world she creates.
I like the way in which Skye has the chance to explore her sexuality more in Legacy for Blood and that she can finally admit her attraction to Archer. I look forward to seeing how J L McCoy develops their relationship in further books.
Legacy for Blood may be my favourite book of the series so far for its romance, humour and action. I feel that J L McCoy continues to get better with each book in the Skye Morrison series, and I love this group of characters. I am so excited for book 5!!!

Favourite Line “I need you safe, Archer; your family needs you safe. I won’t be able to do what I need to do if I’m worried about you." "I can't lose you to him Skye"

Whew! Man these books have been an emotional roller coaster for our poor girl Skye!! I was heart broken when she left my boy but, wow her and her new love are so adorable and sexy!! Anyway
So crazy guy Amun BLEW HIS ESSENCE INTO SKYE so she was changing into a crazy DarkOne just like him but, Archer couldn't let that happen so he quickly changed her into a DayWalker. So Skye is now Vampire but mixed with both dark and day.... Amun wants her for his queen and will kill everyone she loves to get her! Skye is NOT having it though she is down with being scared and putting the people she loves in harms way!
It's a great book and man Skye surprises me more and more!
Archer as always is infuriating and so so SO sexy!
Jameson is amazing and has to go on tour so it's so sad when he's not around!!
Man I am going to be counting down for book 5 I hope for Skye's sake that it is all mellow but, I have a feeling something might happen!

I was give this book in exchange for a honest review (RBTL)

Loved the new book. Wow the ups and downs really suck you in and before you know it - you have finished the book. (of course - this happens with all good books.. ;)) Mrs. McCoy has done it again with LOB - it was everything she promised! My only diliema now is waiting for the next one - ;).

This book is about the struggles that Skye must face with her new life as a vampire. Is she like Amun or Archer's family? Who will she choose - Amun, Jameson, or Archer? Will she survive the tests from the Faithful? All this and so much more is packed in this book. Must read for Skye Morrison Series fans!!!

Wow. Fantastic.

I bought this when it first came out and forgot I had it.
I started reading it this morning and couldn't put it down. Finished at 6pm
I love the way Skye has turned out. (Not saying anything I dont want to give away anything.)

It's a bit more sappier than I like but it's not enough to turn you off.
Has a lot of similarities to Chigagoland Vampire series By Chloe Neill. The way both girls turned out after being turned and being loved by the head vampire (boss).

Can't wait for #5

amazing! but I really didn't expect anything less! I'm super excited that the story is continuing!!! I was kind of sad when I started the book because I thought it was the last.

as always, J.L. is a fantastic writer with an imagination that is out of this world. the cover for this book is beautiful. I was on the edge of my seat the whole book. Skyes trials were so heart breaking but I knew she could overcome. the story flowed and was fly by the seat of your pants exciting! cant wait for book five!!

*I was gifted this book by the author, in exchange for an honest review*

...I honestly have no clue where to start with this book. I ADORED it.
As an author, it is so hard to make the reader feel what the character feels...fright, anger, hunger...and J.L. totally nailed it! I was anxious with Skye, worried for her, intrigued by her and with her.

Oh. There are no adequate words for my love and adoration.

GREAT cover by the way!
LOVE IT! <3

Can't wait for all the joyous things that J.L. is going to come out with!

Legacy of Blood - book 4 - 5 stars
This has to be my favorite book from the series. The beginning books are very important but this was the most action packed. The changes in Skye are incredible during this story. It was amazing to see how her relationships changed and developed with everyone. She has her hands full evading and finding Amun all at the same time.
I don't want to give anything away but I am super excited to see that there is going to be a book 5. That means more sexy, dominating Archer and sexy, sensitive Jameson. Looking forward to more sassy Trey and fiery Skye!

Utter heartbreak

Another great read in the series. Skye is not just your ordinary vampire, she is so much more than anyone thought possible. Archer and Skye finally get together! About time right! Amun is determined to make Skye his mate and during the stand off with Amun someone close to the family is killed. Skye's power is revealed and she makes the ultimate sacrifice in order to save her family from Amun once and for all. The confrontation between Skye and Jameson tore me into pieces. Poor Jameson, my heart still cries for him. I can only hope he gets his own HEA.

J.L. McCoy has outdone herself with Legacy of Blood! The story was fast-paced and engaging from the first sentence. Skye's character has developed so much over the course of the series. While I admit I wanted to choke her the whole last book, J.L. gives us the full explanation for her full on drama queen behavior. LOB gives us an evolving main character that I look forward to continue watching.
