But just as one case closes in the supposedly quiet neighborhood on on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon, two more open, and now this neighborhood is anything but peaceful.

In Jemily's quest to get on with her life, more secrets emerge, more neighbors face personal disaster (that Jemily feels is no accident), and her hope of a new love life only gets more complicated.

How will Jemily navigate all of the craziness stirring up on her street, in her own house, and that has crept back in from the past?

Distant Silence is the second episode of the The Secret Street Saga, an urban fantasy/mystery novella series. The next episode, Intentional Lies, has a planned released of March, 2013.
