While I believe this book is outdated, it is very important to read to understand the progression of public education. We are well beyond outcome based education and whole language, in a sense that those are not the terms used anymore. But if you think that they’re not pulling the same kind of destructive damaging methodology that is ruining our kids and our society, you haven’t been exposed to the realities of what is public education.
I was educated in in the 90s on how to be an elementary school teacher and the amount of information I received during my university training, makes me sick to my stomach. It was only when I started to homeschool my own kids that I realize how destructive whole language, sight words, look-say method., or whatever you want to call it was at the source of causing literacy and dyslexia in our nation.
I live in Texas and the more I understand about what’s going on in the public schools, I get more frustrated understanding how this is not about education this is about transforming our nation from a God-fearing country to a humanist secular country. Never have I seen evidence more apparent than today of the need to keep religion out of school because then it would contradict the religion they’re actually teaching every child that attends public school.
The most concerning part is how they use psychology to manipulate, influence, and indoctrinate our children into his belief system that is contrary to the constitution and what we value as Americans. So many adults don’t even understand how they have been influenced by this education system that has been present for everyone who is living and attended public school.
None of us are exempt from this indoctrination that we did not understand we were receiving. Reading books like this help you understand the psychology, the science, the hatred for our nation, or any other toxic ideology that we’re seeing expressed in greater numbers and we’ve ever seen before. We need to wake up and realize that it is far worse now than what even this book describes. I so appreciate Saumel L. Blumenfeld’s writing that helps the average person understand what is truly going on.
