The story is pretty standard Conan-Roy Thomas fare. Which isn't a bad thing, I love a good Conan story. This one features John Buscema inking his own art, which is pretty rare. The art is pretty late-era Buscema and I think he really came into his own with this stuff. It seems pretty raw at times, but it just exudes energy. I can't get enough of how he draws people.
Highly recommended for Savage Sword fans. I would love to get my hands on a black-and-white copy, as I think the coloring is a bit of a let down. Or maybe Darkhorse should do a recoloring like it is doing in the Savage Sword magazine.
