Emery Price was perfectly fine with being wallpaper. In fact, she applauded the idea. There was nothing she wanted more than to get through her senior year unnoticed, distraction-free, with high honors and an acceptance letter to a prestigious university. Fox Evans, gorgeous and irresponsible, is the playboy that blurred her perfectly-planned vision. With his dirty jokes, dashing smirk, and notorious reputation he unintentionally kills any chances of Emery being a mere paper background. The handsome devil does so much damage she can't even pass for a plain old carpet or a dim lamp in the corner of the room. Though as time passes, she minds less and less.
While balancing volunteer work with the American Red Cross, a job at the local Daycare center, and her schoolwork, Emery manages to: form a budding friendship with Fox Evans, deal with her parents' unhappy marriage, and help her friends through their plethora of problems. An overwhelming year commences as Emery tries to keep up with life, spouting optimism and smiles to those in need. But when she finally manages to think about herself, there is little but pessimism and fear to be found.
I took a personal like to this book. I felt I could truly relate to Em in many aspects. I also like that it took place in Connecticut. Even though I live in California, I went to to school back east. I just got giddy and unreasonably excited when places I know where mentioned. Aside from the personal tie ins to this book, I think it it truly amazing. It portrays sex in the most open way and brings in all the good and bad consequences of it. It takes place in high school where all the cliques and labels are prominent. In an off way it resembles the idea behind the film Easy A. What I particularly like of this book was the strong female character. She was resilient in her convictions even though a lot was going on to sway her opinion. The maturity level of the all characters has smooth transition that you realize how far you've come at the end of the book. It was a clean book with low key morals and ideas as well as a few SAT words to boot. I highly recommend it to the younger readers, but it is a nice respite for the adults as well. I will definitely purchase the edited version for future reference.
I liked this story so much. I glad that you can buy a copy on Amazon now. CONGRATS ToutesLesNuits :3
It made my cry... a lot. Im an emotional person. *sniffle* Anyways, Fox infuriated me and also made me love him at the same time. I have a weakness for books were the a guy has a change of heart and ends up being a better person because of a girl. *squeals* It's always so heartwarming. It just makes me happy okay.
There were a couple of clever twists, but I saw them coming. I've read a ton of wattpad books and some of them use really similar plot twists. But if you don't always read this genre, you'll think the book is perfect.
The climax of the story- It was heart wrenching. I was cursing Fox and internally screaming at Emery to do something to save their "relationship". It was beautifully written. THE PROM GUYSSSS. DAT DRESSSSS. But the most perfect day ended up leading to the most awful moment.
"I don't know"
My heart was breaking with Emery's. UGH Fox is such an idiot sometimes. Then again, everyone messes up real bad once in a while.
Overall this was a really great book. The conflict was powerful. It was very well written. The ending made me burst into tears. (remember I'm a emotional person) So just buy it, and read it.
i'm the girl that almost let HIM get away. i'm the one that got scared, that chickened out and sabotaged her own chances at happiness. i didn't go for it because i'd never gone for it before....
but when i finally did go for it... IT WAS INCREDIBLY WORTH IT!
definitely a story most of us teens can relate. i found myself laughing hard because of fox and emery i'm literally smiling at the end :)
PHENOMENAL READ! I love this novel with so much in me. Everytime I look at the cover, my heart squeezes in my chest with emotion. I've cried about this novel because it was so good. Whenever I go to read it again, I can't put it down even with knowledge of the end. The end is amazing too. This novel is all around perfect and I hope the author will continue to use their amazing talent and grant us more books as exquisite as this!! It deserves more than five stars.
White is for Virgins; is a beautiful story of a girl that well is a virgin in her senior year. The rumors of her virginity spread because of her Health teacher. Also, there is the bad boy/ hot guy/ sweet guy (same person or guy) who slowly and without knowing it, falls for the virgin. I really like the tittle since white represents purity, and goodness; and so are virgins, pure.
I liked this book, really good. I really liked the characters. I just wasn't a huge fan of the epilogue I would've liked to know for sure that Fox and Emery stayed together. But other than that I liked it!
I'm a 20 year old girl scared to death of love and this book struck me hard. this book just wow. I cried, I laughed. it was amazing. I definitely recommend it!!!
I liked the ease of this book. Great for a high school student. There were some minor errors throughout like missing words. Overall, I recommend the book though.
