*Elements of the first two prophecies have already come the end of World War I, the rise of Russia as a superpower, and the beginning of World War II...

*The third secret was revealed in the year 2000, its details still shrouded in secrecy and controversy.

What is the Vatican trying to hide?

The Lady of Fátima left a final prophecy so powerful that no pope in over eighty years had dared reveal it. Why? The third secret is contained on a page of parchment written by the last surviving witness to the miracle...and hand delivered to the Pope. Even now, after the Vatican has released their version of the contents of the third secret, intense debate rages as to whether the Church has revealed the truth. Here, for the first time, is a complete inquiry into the mystery of Fá what the three shepherds really witnessed, the astonishing turn of their lives, the unfolding of the prophecies, and how the Fátima Secret has dominated Pope John Paul's reign and changed world history. Was the Fátima prophecy a warning to the Pope...or a vision so dire it must be suppressed at any cost?

WERE MARIAN APPARITIONS SUCH AS FATIMA RELATED TO UFOS?

Michael Hesemann (born 1964) is a German journalist and author. In the 1980s and 1990s he wrote several books on UFOs and extraterrestrials; more recently, he has turned his efforts to Catholicism, and illustrated by this book (which is part of Whitley Streiber’s ‘Hidden Agendas’ series).

He wrote in the Preface to this 2000 book, “This book tries to prove what we have too often chosen to ignore: that someone, a higher intelligence, controls our evolution, and intervenes in human history through supernatural signs and apparitions. One of the most important examples of this comes … from the twentieth century, and concerns the rise and fall of the Communist empire… It involved neither statesmen nor clergy, but three uneducated, naïve peasant children and a luminous white Lady who spoke to them. Those were the apparitions at Fatima… This is not a religious book. I do not aim to prove the truth of any religious doctrine. I only want to show that there is definite proof that a higher intelligence of some kind stage Fatima and all the other miracles and apparitions that have made history, and intervened in human affairs.” (Pg. 21-22)

He continues, “there is an obvious correlation to the UFO phenomenon. This does not mean that extraterrestrials stage these events as tools to manipulate or even to save us. It could mean that these alien beings, whoever they are, live in a kind of harmony with God and the universe that enables them to fulfill His plans.” (Pg. 23)

Of the ‘Miracle of the Sun,’ he recounts, “Even the newspaper Século, which had been so skeptical about Fatima before, had to concede that ‘a scene right out of the Bible was observed by the astonished crowd… The sun began to tremble and went into movements that defied all laws of nature. It seemed to be dancing---that we the expression used by some of the people who described it. Others said that the sun seemed to be trembling, and some swore that it began to rotate like a huge wheel of fire, then came toward the earth as if it was going to scorch it. Many saw the light of the sun changing colors.” (Pg. 91)

Of the Virgin of Guadalupe image on Juan Diego’s cloak, he states, “at the moment of the miracle, the cloak acted like a photographic negative, again like the Shroud of Turin. It must have been exposed at the moment with the Madonna first appeared on the cloak… The scientific proof was confirmed when, in 1963, the management of Kodak, after a thorough investigation, announced that the picture was a photograph… In the majority of the image close-up infrared shots reveal no brushstrokes. On the other hand, areas that were known to have been painted over in the past… showed all the usual characteristics of normal painting techniques.” (Pg. 196)

He recounts, “I have pointed out some similarities between Marian visions and UFO sightings. On April 23, 1994, in Brazil, a UFO organization finally managed to investigate an apparition… Over three thousand believers arrived on September 1, to be present when the Holy Virgin appeared again as she had promised. Witnesses confirm that when she returned… the sun darkened and looked like the full moon. Their reports convinced scientists at the Brazilian UFO Research Centre to come to the next apparitions…’Suddenly someone pointed to the sky, shouting, ‘Look at the pearls of the rosary of the Virgin.’ Our researchers… directed their cameras toward the spheres, which were three n a row, clearly visible, disk-shaped and metallic. The electronic engineer… had no explanation for this phenomenon.’ Is this evidence that Marian apparitions are really UFO visitations? Or is this scientific confirmation of a modern miracle?” (Pg. 225-226)

He suggests, “The many Marian visions that are occurring all over the world are something we should take seriously. No matter how terrible the future may be, it can only be altered by the knowledge, hopes, and prayers of millions of us, from all religions, throughout the world. If we can learn to think and meditate together, we can change the future o mankind. The great number of warnings we have received in recent times indicates how great the dangers are that threaten us. But they also let us know that we are not alone.” (Pg. 236)

He concludes, “Fatima gave us the message that it is possible to change the future by altering the chain of cause and effect, through prayer and conversion, and by rituals like the consecration of the world to Mary. It was no coincidence that Fatima happened in 1917, a year more full of tragic consequences than any other in the last century. It was part of an emergency plan for mankind.”

The UFO community and the portion of the Catholic community that accept apparitions such as Fatima don’t normally ‘intersect’ much. But some persons may find this book interesting.

The Fatima Secret

I have read many books on Fatima, but this one has more history than the others. It's a shame that it wasn't able to go on with the last two Popes. I see the last secret talking about today's problems with the abuse and how our Catholic Church is going to suffer including the Pope. I believe the third secret is meant for US

I was anxious to read this, to find out what the 3rd secret that was whispered to Lucia when the virgin Mary appeared to her in Portugal, in 1917. This was kept a secret for decades. Not sure why. What she told her previously was foretold, the end of WW1, the beginning of WW2, and what hell looks like. It's a good book, but to me, as a Roman Catholic, was a bit scary. I don't really want to know when the end of the world will be. Scary.
