Get ready for the ride of a lifetime

This book had me frustrated, angry, love sick, and so utterly mind shattered by the end, I'm still trying to process that ending!!!

At first I was a little thrown off by it not picking up where we left off. Although as I got further into the book and realized that Bella had done us a favor by writing this from Slash's perspective, I was drug through the wringer again but only on a whole other level. In getting Slash's view you can feel through words the torment he's been living with by denying his feelings all these year's.

Zeke, Venom, is still in his head about choosing how he thinks things should go and throughout the book you get to see how it affects Slash and the constant battle he wages between his heart and mind.

Be prepared to relive some of the more traumatic occurrences that Lily had to go through and how Slash has been an intricate piece in her story since childhood.

Be aware of any triggers before reading. There's mention of SA, miscarriage, deceit, betrayal, and a few scenes of spice. Overall I enjoyed reading this book and being able to continue the character and world building that has been evolving since the beginning!!

How am I supposed to wait for book 3?!😭😭😭

First off...Wow..Wow..Wow...
This ride was completely something else with so much and I mean a heck of a lot happening that even though this might be a long*ish* book yet I felt that I didn't want it to end at all.

I'm still all like 😱😱 after all that happened and definitely need a breather for I can feel a huge wave, a rising war on the horizon coming and I'm so hyper wanting to know what and how will everything unfold.

I have been Team Zeke right from the start as there's something special about the rawness of the bond that Venom and Lily share.
Yet... YET... I can't believe I'm saying this BUT this book has turned me into a COMPLETE SLASH FAN.. OMG.. 😍😍

Yep... I still can't believe myself but the many keep you hooked twists and turns this book takes you through, some painful, some shocking, some red hot fire and some so emotional that it'll do things to your heart that you'll be a complete mess - these things in the overall picture from the way Slash cares and is JUST THERE ALWAYS FOR CHERUB no matter what and even knowing he can never own her heart.... MELTED ME COMPLETELY.

BUT HERE'S THE CHALLENGE.... ZEKE HAS ALSO MELTED ME EQUALLY after what he does and why he does. 😭😭
Yes, I still didn't like certain ways or rather many of the ways Zeke dealt with things and especially sometimes I just wanted to slap him left and right for being a BIG 𝖠𝗌𝗌𝗁𝗈𝗅𝖾.... YET THAT ENDING... OH MY... I HAD TEARS.. AND THEN THE NEXT TWIST.. OH MY... I'M STILL RECOVERING..😳😳 😭😭😭

This story will challenge you in the best way.. One cherub and two warriors battling for her heart when one already owns it yet another strives to call her his own by being anything she needs...
Slash or Zeke..... Venom or Carter.... I didn't know by the end how the F*** is lily supposed to decide.

Also, the action part on the club side. I loved how we get so many different delicious flavours all in this one book.
Betrayals and inside rats and chase and run and masked personalities and so much more...
I was seriously zooming through this one as I couldn't wait to know what would happen next and also yet I didn't want this book to end at all.

MUST MUST READ IF YOU WANT A LOVE TRIANGLE THAT'LL DEVASTATE YOU, MAKE YOU FALL IN LOVE ONCE AGAIN, HEAL YOU AND BREAK YOU AND WHILE YOU ARE STILL REELING, FILL YOU WITH TUMMY TWISTING EMOTIONS WITH SO MUCH OF FIRE YOU WILL BE ALL OVER THE PLACE BY THE TIME YOU ARE DONE WITH THIS.

I LOVED THIS LOVE TRIANGLE!!!!

If I could give this story more than five stars, I would in a heartbeat! This is the second installment or the third installment (if you decide to read the prequel “Craving Control” which I suggest so you get a better appreciation for this series, but since it is written in the villain’s POV, take precautions) of this series.

THAT ENDING THOUGH!!!! I was not expecting the answers that I got to the questions I had from “Tempting Fate!” I am mind blown, my heart breaking yet happy and needing more! I’m having so many feelings, I am still trying to process it all! The previous thoughts on certain people….i was very wrong. I’m normally great at figuring characters out, but definitely not this time!!

I loved that I got to know Carter (Slash) on a much deeper level with this book. I had wondered what his thoughts and feelings were when reading book one. With this book, I got those answers. It made me grow to love him even more! I thought what I read in book one was deep and heartbreaking for what Lily went through. Then I got to see it all unfold in Slash’s eyes and was torn up even more!

His love for Lily and the struggle he went through to hold his feelings in and support her and Zeke (Venom) was definitely not something I would have been able to do. I was on the fence about how I felt about Zeke before with the way he is so in his head he can’t see the damage he is doing, I’m still struggling to decide and hope to figure it out with the next book.

I loved watching Lily grow as her own person and trying to figure out her feelings. But how? How can she decide between the two men she has loved equally, yet differently all her life. It’s one heartbreaking, tear inducing turn of events after another. And I’m here for it!

I didn’t want this story to end….but I also couldn’t wait for it to so I can see what happens next! This is definitely not for the faint of heart and triggering for some. Proceed with caution, but I highly recommend this series and all the next to come!

With each book that I’ve read before this one in the series, I thought it was my favorite. Once again, with this book, I have dubbed it my favorite so far. Don’t be surprised when you see my review on the next book claiming it as my favorite, in truth….every single one of Bella Faust’s books are more than likely going to end up a favorite of mine. Her writing is raw, honest and eye opening to the evil of the world. At the same time it is cathartic, healing and inspiring. With her writing, in this series (and this book), she has shown that even in the darkest moments, for those who still believe in the good of the world, they are worthy and they can be loved, there is in fact a light at the end of the tunnel. Family doesn’t have to be blood, you can make your own family. You can still have happiness after all the hurt and pain. Bella Faust will use her amazingly crafted mind to bring stories with the ability to make the unbelievable believe again. Just read for yourself and you’ll understand better by what I mean!

This series has once again broken my heart but also has given me a new Morally Grey Man to obsess over... Slash oh my lord.. this man worships his duchess (Lilly) and is there for her without judgement and with pure unrequited unconditional love. Lilly however does not see this even when it is pointed out to her by multiple people, she thinks that he just loves her as a best friend as that is what they have always been, most likely because Zeke has always taken up so much space in her mind and heart, but with some distance between them, will something new rise to the surface?

There is lies, betrayals, heartbreaks... all in the name of love throughout this book and some in the name of greed, greed of a man hell bent on revenge for grievances he's been holding on to for a very long time, yet his children are the ones who pay the price for his behaviour.

This book honestly made me question how loyal i'd be to Zeke, especially when Slash is so selfishly loyal and wants only the best for Lilly, he never wishes to lie to her, he would leave her if it meant she'd be better off, he'd 💀 for her... he loves her selflessly, he helps her, supports her and guides her through grief and inner turmoil that tears her apart and wants to drag her under the dark waves into peacrful oblivion, but Slash is not about to let that happen, not unless he follows.

Please check trigger warnings, this is a Dark Psychological Romance and the trigger warnings are no joke, if you make it that far, then Happy Readings book worms 😏🤭

So somehow I managed to miss reading Tempting Fate, which is annoying as I have missed some key events and there is clearly holes in this book which would have been filled by reading the first book. That put to oneside, I still got immersed in Making Choices which is told from Slash's point of view. Lilyanna (Lily), little cherub is is back safe in the arms of the VP of the MC club, Venom. But, safe doesn't long and Lily is attacked again. Check those trigger warnings before you dive in, they are there for a reason!!!

Making choices centres around Lily, Venom and Slash and yes the choices they make. But choices have consequences, and those consequences trigger different choices. But, choices also trigger emotions and this book is full of emotions. Three close, best friends, Lily and Venom couldn't be more in love if they tried, then Slash also head over heels in love with Lily. Now, a love triangle of sorts, Venom pushing Lily away after the second attack, Slash telling Anna how he feels.

But don't think that this is a love story with all the beauty that brings to mind. Far from it, this story is ruthless in the darkness it brings. You not only relive the torture that Lily went through, but the effects of that on Venom and Slash and believe me thats not pretty.

Slash totally ripped my heart out, that guy wow what he went through, how he didn't crash and burn I will never know. Lily I just don't know how she has survived thus far. Venom, for me he's still a bit of a mystery.

Making choices will bring you to your knees, your emotions will be all over the place and that ending... lets just say you won't see that coming !!!

I’m not even sure how to begin this review because this book is beyond crazy and there is so much going on that it’s hard to keep it all straight!!

Lily has survived another horrific event and now she is dealing with some serious betrayal by people she assumed would always have her back. She is feeling lost and betrayed on many fronts and it’s getting harder and harder to know what is real!! She loves Zeke with everything she has! He is her everything and she can’t live without him. However, he is keeping secrets from her and she knows that he’s hiding something but she can’t figure out what. She has had her heart broken too many times and now she is relying on Slash to help her get through this because without her best friend by her side she’s not sure she’ll survive!

Zeke is losing him mind being without his family but he has to keep them safe and playing the long game is the only way he can do that even if everyone he cares about can’t see it that way. Zeke will do anything for his Lily but he knows his actions may not always reflect that but he knows she is good hands with Slash!!

Slash (Carter) has been in love with Lily almost as long as Zeke has but he won’t act on his feelings because if their friendship! He wants her to have everything she deserves and more but he’s not sure if she’ll ever let him be that person for her! However, now that she’s under his roof and with him 24/7 he doesn’t want to let her go!!

There are so many twists and turns that you will have whiplash by mid Book! This is a whirlwind ride that will have you spiraling to try and keep everything straight. This MC/Mafia world is insane, intense, and downright terrifying. As always, Bella delivers an amazing story and the places she’s going to take in the next book is going to be epic! I’m not sure how I want their story to play out but I’m so excited to see how it all comes together! Happy Reading!!

Making Choices is from Slash’s pov and perception. Along with Lily’s.
There is more insight and information that wasn’t revealed in Tempting Fate.
Some revelations and secrets left me stunned and speechless.
So more pieces of the puzzle start coming together in this book.
And the fuzzy picture is becoming a bit more clearer.
Slash’s childhood and until the present is told. His life experiences are sad and heartbreaking.
My soul was crushed for him. But his strength and resilience always shine through.
He is strong willed and determined to succeed at what he wants.
Lily is such a remarkable woman. The horrors just keep coming at her.
The minute she gets through a horrible experience another one is nipping at her heals.
She just can’t seem to catch a break.
But she also starts learning and accepting more about herself. Her wants, her needs and her loves.
Her heart and her mind are starting to align.
And things are starting to shift in place mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
The book kept me on edge and didn’t let up.
All the twisted crap taking place. The betrayals that are being uncovered. The secrets that are revealed and still happening. All of the drama and suspense had my anxiety going through the roof.
This series is absolutely gripping and intense. Each book gets more pulling and captivating.
And I am anxiously awaiting Seizing Control.

Making Choices is the second book in the Black Shamrocks MC (Australia) series, and it cannot be read as a standalone.

This story isn’t exactly a continuation from the first book, Tempting Fate. It’s actually the same story, or at least the same timeframe. It is told from Carter “Slash” Hudson and Lily’s POV. In this, we see how Slash deals with all of the events unfolding around them and gives a more in-depth view into how Lily handles everything.

Lily is really going through so much after learning that her abuser is being released and the man she loves, Zeke, knew he was being released and kept it from her. And her father, who is supposed to love and protect her is really just an a**hole. Oh, and Zeke will do anything to protect Lily, including leave her to do other stuff that he won’t tell her about, but it’s all to protect her.

Meanwhile, she leans on her close friend, Slash. Slash has always had feelings for Lily, but he never acted on them out of respect and loyalty to Zeke. Even with Zeke gone, he doesn’t want to cross that line. He’s just always there for Lily and fiercely protects her too.

That’s not to mention the whole problem with a certain nurse that Slash was…having fun with. I’ll just say the nurse and the doctor she worked with added a whole lot of drama and crazy to the already extremely crazy story.

There’s tension, angst, and so much suspense. The love triangle is intense, especially with how much these two morally grey men love Lily. I cannot wait to read the next book.

This is technically the third book in this series as there is a Prequel before the Trilogy. I absolutely love Slash and Lily's story even though it took me on an emotional rollercoaster - there was laughter, happiness, sadness, tears, frustration, anger, screaming and a couple of times I wanted to throw the book down. This book sucks you in, just like the 2 before it and will keep you captivated all the way through. Please make sure you read the trigger warning before starting this series.

Lily has literally been through hell and back, dealt more trauma and heartbreak than any one person should ever have to go through, especially at her young age. The love of her life, Zeke, has abandoned her again despite all the mixed signals he keeps giving her. Lily relies on her best friend, Slash, to help her get through. Lily and Slash become closer and their relationship slowly starts to change, despite Lily refusing to admit to herself the changes and Slash finally admitting out loud his feelings for Lily. During all of this they all are still dealing with the twisted reality that has become their lives because of Lily's father and the Maddison Clan.

This is book two of the trilogy (book three if you count the prequel) and it definitely needs to be read after book one. This series is so good in the way it’s written. While the last book concentrates on Venom and Lily, in this one we get the POV of Slash and Lily. It is overlapped with book one and I love getting the different perspectives from events that have already happened. It’s added so much depth to the story and that’s saying something because the plot was already pretty thick.

Poor Lily has become a pawn to even more of the men in her life and while I do feel for her, knowing that this MC holds her in such high regards and are doing everything they can to protect her makes this story everything we love in a darker romance. The plot has thickened so much with more info from the petite doctor and her boss along with the Trinity. That ritual though!!!

After reading this book, I finally get the feeling that this is a true love triangle and cannot wait to find out what happens in the conclusion of this story. I really believe it could go in so many different directions and I really appreciate the lack of predictability.

This is the second book in the trilogy but isn’t actually a continuation of the first until the last 20%.

The first 80% follows the same events that happen in book one but through Slash’s eyes. If I’d of researched and known (instead of just jumping in) I would have tandem read the two books so they flow. I’ll bear that in mind for when I re-read.

I don’t know how I feel about the guys! On the one hand I feel that Lily and Venom are end game as they’ve been in love for forever. But he can be a d*** and I feel he pushes her a bit too hard and makes awful decisions about her without telling her.

Then when I read this I was fully team Slash. Until the last 20%. He was so sweet and loving but now he’s just turned into Venom. I’m actually not sure I want Lily with either of them 🫣😂

Hunter is the best side character. I love his quirks and he’s just so loveable.

There is a lot of angst and drama in these books and the bad times just keep on rolling. Yet Lily keeps on going.

I’m very much looking forward to Seizing Control to see how this all turns out. It’s going to be epic.

I have to say book three is my favorite,

I LOVE this series. YES, parts of this book make me so mad. The issues for Lily ("Anna") never see to be over with. She had to deal with Alex's cruelty again, and that changed her. She has to deal with her issues with Zeke & not be around him. This book has to do with Lily and Slash and how her feelings for him grow and his aren't hidden anymore. Lily hasn't had it easy and her men (Slash & Venom) haven't either, there's a lot of drama with issues in the MC still and dealing with Alex & his family (ties to the mob) like we found out in book one & two). A LOT of new stuff will be revealed in this book, too. I was so surprised by some of the events, Story ends on a cliffhanger, one that will have you clinging to the edge of your seats. It's definitely a series you'll want to read again & again.

I will go ahead and tell you that you need to buckle up for this one. Your emotions are going to be all over the place reading this book. I think I went from bliss to frustration to angry all in about the span of two seconds. It is a book you're going to finish and have to process. This book is mainly told from Slash's point of view and man it will put you through your paces. I don't even know that I can say a thing about what happens in this book and not give something away. It is certainly a ride with Slash who has denied and denied his feelings for years and is tormented really. The man is for sure waging a war between his head and his heart. We can't forget Lily and you get to go along the journey with her through the things she has been through. Trust me they aren't pretty. Like I said, buckle up, it's going to be one crazy ride.

OMG this was an Emotional read from start to finish, you will go through so many ranges of emotions from one minute to the next as we get mainly Slashes POV. he is truly living in a world of emotional turmoil denying his feelings for Lilianna. A man who is at work with his heart and mind struggling daily. Lilianna is also struggling with so much as Zeke once again abandons her when she needs him, and she had to rely on Slash again. It was heartwarming seeing how their relationship slowly starts to progress from friends to so much more and then when he finally gets to acknowledge his true feelings. We also have her father wreaking havoc and causing so many issues. This book is a whirl wind of emotions, and you can't get enough of. Can't wait for the last book to see how everything with fall into place. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

Man. When I tell you this was an emotional roller coaster I mean it. When I started the series for some reason I was not fully hooked right away but as I continued reading next thing you knew I couldn't put it down. All the traumas that Lily has gone through and the fact that she continues to not give up that's strength on its self.

When I started the series I all I knew was that this was a why choose MC but I just didn't see how I didn't see it been Alex and Zeke so when I finally was able to see who the other love interest was my jaw dropped!

Please note that Making Choices is NOT the conclusion of the series but buckle up and get ready with this series for the emotional damage (insert TikTok sound here 😅) and to stay up all night cause you can't put it down.

This book is based on Slash and Lily's POV. A messy love triangle between Venom, Lily, and Slash. I'm so glad that Slash got his POV. We were able to get the chance to know what he was thinking and feeling all this time about his best friend Lilianna Mayberry(his duchess). I didn't know he was in love with his duchess until I read this book and got a real glimpse of all the thoughts that was running through his mind. He may seem calm and laid back in the outside but the inside, he was suffering and heartbroken that the girl of his dreams is in love with his best friend Venom aka Ezekiel Miles aka VP of the Black Shamrocks MC. To best honest, I am rooting for Slash and Lily to end up together because of what Venom put Lily through. Even though Venom loves her to death and is willing to sacrifice his needs and wants for her safety, it doesn't excuse his behavior for leaving her behind when she needed him the most. Instead he puts Lily cares into his best friend's hands without realizing that Slash will steal her heart away from him. I can't wait for the last book and hopefully they all have their own HEA.

The trauma that Lily has been through, I had to keep stepping away. At one point I threw my phone down only to have to obsess over the rest of the story.
The words that Bella has written, the emotion that is torn for each page. So violent and passionate and erotic.
These three will fight to the death for each other if they can’t stop fighting themselves.
They have been manipulated so much, it’s no wonder Lily has broken. Now if the three can find a way to be one unit… if Zeke is still alive.
I need answers.

This is the second book in this incredible trilogy. Slash has always had feeling for Lily but has never revealed them. When Lily is attacked again, Venom steps aside as he does not feel worthy of her. This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, which is a dark psychological romance, with betrayals, angst, survival, making choices, consequences, a love triangle, and is a tragic, and steamy thrilling page turner.
Be aware of the trigger warning due to the sensitive content as this is not a series for the faint-at-heart!
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Making Choices by Bella Faust is book two in the Black Shamrocks MC. Australia. This continues the story of Carter “Slash” Hudson whose story started in the previous book 'Tempting Fate'. This is his point of view and his feelings toward Lilianna 'Lilly' and the fall out with Zeke/Venom. Venom is wanting to push Lilly away after failing her yet again. Slash had tried to step away in the last book to let his friends progress in their relationship but now after the 2nd attack he can't hide his feelings for Lilly like he used too. This book does set us up for the next installment in Seizing Control.

This book was written from Slash's POV and wow, was it a ride! Bella keeps us on our toes every step of the way and the bumps in this road made me laugh, scream and cry. I love that we finally got to dive more into Slash's mind and to see Lilly grow.

Lilly is finally doing things for herself; and the character growth is huge.

Make sure to read Tempting Fate and if you can handle all the trigger warnings Craving Control as well as this series must be read in order. We received a bunch of answers we have been waiting on in this book through the twists and turns. Now we just have to figure out who truly captures her heart. What a choice to make!!!

I’m going to admit I was not expecting an rollercoaster ride this one took me on. Lily goes through yet another tragic event and when she expected Zeke the love of her life to be there for her he push her away. Lily turns to her bff Slash who been in love with her for awhile. As they grow closer she refuses to admit her feelings but he does the opposite and says his feelings for her. This story will have ups and downs but than we are left with another great cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the next book to see where it brings us.

First off ... Slash, mmmm yummy!!!

Making choices is from Slash’s pov and perception.
There are so many twists and turns, so more pieces of the puzzle start coming together in this book.
The love triangle is intense, especially with how much these two morally grey men love lily equally. There’s tension, angst, and so much suspense.
I am absolutely loving how this story is coming together, even though my heart is in my throat for most of it.

That ending.... I think I have some emotional damage
I can't wait for the next book. There is so much more to discover

another pov

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Making Choices and find out what was next. However 80% of the book was from the pov of Slash and Lily, where the first book was Venom and Lily’s. It wasn’t bad, just couldn’t have been combined and gotten multiple POVs in one book. Now, the last 20% I couldn’t read fast enough wanting to find out what was in store for the Black Shamrocks. Ready to dive into the next book now!

Holly crap as usual this book twist and turns I did not see coming. As always Bella took us for a wild ride and I have so many questions I’m already ready to devour the next book in this series.

This is not a book for someone lighthearted this is a book for those of us who like to live in the dark and twisty. Please remember to check TW Bella has a full list one her website as this is extremely dark. These are not standalones they do need to be read in order but if the prequel is to dark it may be skipped.

This was a good book. It had a lot going on with the MC club. Venom/zeke took control of a situation to protect Lily. He made difficult decisions. A lot came to light during this book. This had a recap of some things that happened in the first 2 books. You learned who certain people were that you didn’t know before from the original books. They were in them but you didn’t know their purpose. I love the series so far.

If you thought the first books would take you through the ringer this one tops it and more, Lily, Slash and Vemon have to live and work with their choices, some easier than others. This story has depth, emotion, a rollor coaster ride of them that will make you feel every high and low. A great addition to the series.

OMG! Poor Lily! This girl is still going through it. This book is told from Slash's POV from the other book, it tells how Slash & Venom were during her attack & it's not pretty. The ending you will not see coming! You have to read this book & I can't wait for the next one!! Kudos to Bella for writing these awesome books! Highly recommend this series & author!

This epic story had my emotions in overdrive as I connected with Zeke, Lilianna and Slash. Incidents led to life choices that had repercussions between the trio. Lilianna is in the center of it all having to make decisions that will test their love and strengthen them in ways they didn't see coming.

OMG this book!

Venom, Cherub and Slash! This series is unreal, how she writes these stories is beyond me. The storyline and characters are so complex. The agony they have all suffered is unreal, the backstabbing so cold and calculating. I can’t wait for the rest of this story!
