He'll be rambling on, no doubt, about pigs and trees, stars and horses .
Having bought this book as part of a bundle of 3 books, having already been disappointed by a collection by Manley Gerad Hopkins, I had higher hopes for the book, this book did clear the bar, however the bar was never high enough, so in the end It was still a disappointing read with nothing of substance in it
A very entertaining collection by Muldoon, but other than that I doubt I'll be returning to it much outside of my degree. The poems read more like metaphorical short stories, almost reminding me of Borges? Very unique. The constant theme of ironic opposites and unconventional characters were pretty cool too
