One of the worst books that i have ever read. I guess everyone that rated this have literally never read a decent book in their life. not only was it so ridiculously fast paced that you didn't have a chance to sympathize with the characters you didn't even realize it was finished until you were reading the last word.
Jessica has to be one of the single most spineless characters in history. Her best friends Malcolm and Jaylen have to put up with her crazy life and the shenanigans she constantly gets into with her no good boyfriend, Chris.

This book was one crazy rollercoaster of a ride. This is a 4 part series, and I'm not sure I'll be reading the next three books, because honestly I hated all of the characters. Jess is just totally pathetic and immature, Angela is a b#itch, and Chris and Malcolm are the most put together but still get on my nerves.

Yes Love Can Hurt

Jessica was raised by her grandmother and her best friends were Jaylen and Malcom (brothers) . They went to college together and Jaylen dropped out to pursue his dream and when Jessica met Chris he walked her into dropping out to pursue her photography but with no marketing ideas or creativity in that aspect things just did not jump off. As Jessica sees a perfect relationship in Jaylen and Angela, her own is deteriorating especially when Chris is randomly dropped off and kissing a woman right in front of her. Jaylen lives quite close and when her and Chris argue and violent also Jessica finds here self Done and at Jaylens door. While Jaylen sneaks Jessica in his place they have one unforgettable evening and when she’s goes back to Chris the friendship is broken. Chris promises gets him and Jessica engaged but one night out has her back at square A but pregnant! Jaylen puts them paws on Chris and him and Malcolm invite Jessica back into their lives…part 2 please

Triggering yet Intriguing…

This was an extremely fast read…I started last night and literally finished at midnight. I got so engrossed in the story that I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to download the next book so I can see what happens next. I mean it’s very typical but you find yourself rooting for the underdog (to say the least).

Overall, it’s a good story…has a good twist. If you’re older and have been through some things, you see the red flags in each of the relationships/people. Not one person is perfect within the book but most seem to lend something helpful to the story.

When Love Hurts (Jaylen and Jessica Book 1)

A quick read. Too quick for me. Jessica has an abusive 👦 friend and goes to stay with her best friends Jaylen and his brother Malcolm. She is "still in love" so she says. Goes back to Chris. Though she is preggo he beats her and puts her out. Now she's homeless.

Overall, the premise of the plot is a good one. However, I was frustrated with Jessica. She acted more like a teen than an over twenty year old,her actions and choices made were stupid. She seemed more victim than anything else. No gumption or fighting spirit. I loved Jalen and Malcolm.I didn't like how this book ended. I hate cliffhangers.

Good book

I’m enjoying reading the book but Jessica has so many issues it’s hard to take it all in. What I don’t understand and does not make sense is, why don’t she just work for Jaylen. There is no reason for her to not have a job. That just didn’t add up to me.

Good, short read

Young girl, lives with her boyfriend. He is a cheating, lying jerk. She has two brothers, who have been her friends forever. She goes to them, after her boyfriend beats her up. Now, she left again, and is pregnant.

The story line is amazing. I couldn't stop reading it. The editing wasn't perfect but I get it. It makes you want to read more to find out what happens! Can't wait to read the next book.

Love Sometimes Hurts

Life is very difficult for Jessica, but it is easier to deal with when you have friends and family that love you. Lessons learned.

If you're looking for a quick-read without any real character development or plot, then this is an OK read but I've definitely read this story before.
