Rollo Learning to Read

Rate this book
This is an antiquarian children’s book written by Maurice Thompson and originally published in 1835. Written with the entertainment of children in mind, this book hopes to answer such questions as, “Mother, what shall I do?” and, “Mother, what shall I do after I have done this?” This wonderfully entertaining and educational text is written in a way that children might enjoy reading them to themselves and their siblings, containing juvenile scenarios written with mature language in the hope that this book will not only entertain and occupy, but also inspire and teach as well. James Maurice Thompson was an American novelist most famous for his novel, Alice of Old Vicennes (1900). This book is proudly republished here complete with original illustrations and a new introductory biography of the author.
