I think learning to deal with disappointment, frustration, and reality not living up to dreams, is such an essential thing for everybody. It is easier said than done, but this book was good enough that I think I might end up buying it.

After seeing the cover of this book I thought it was geared toward child athletes. It DOES have a lot of excellent advice for parents of child athletes, but mostly it is geared toward helping children succeed in all kinds of competition (oh yeah, kind of like its title says!).

A month has passed since I finished this book and since then I've read many others. However, I still find myself thinking back to the concepts taught in this book. I have integrated many of the skills taught here into my mothering and I've had excellent results with my children. This is a book I will refer back to often.
