Pretty disappointing volume in this series. I just couldn't get into it at all, really. It had a lot of things from 70's pulp that I just don't really like. The top two are the cold war tug a war between America and Russia. I find that subject very dull and overused. The other is space. Space stations, rockets and lasers. All that NASA junk. I found it boring. Sub-par all around.

American spy satellites are dying. The CIA believes they are being destroyed by the Russians. They send Penelope and her team to Russia to put a stop to it. She heads to the Russian space installation at Baikonur Cosmodrome. Her team stays in Moscow looking for intel.

She learns that the Russians have also lost satellites.

So it must be the Chinese. She heads to Moscow and forms a team with some Russians and they set out for northern China.

Their destination is an observatory run by Professor T’Ing and his mad security officer.

Penelope is betrayed and assaulted by the Russians. Her team sneaks up to the observatory but are greeted by Chinese soldiers.

There is more sexual activity, torture and sadism in this one than in the second outing.

Just like Lara's recent choice in books. This one is sexy and will supply you with at least one sex scene per chapter... It will also supply you with a blush in your cheeks as you will not believe the creative way they describe "doing it" in this book.
