Liz, Gemma, Arie, Jess, and Drew have been best friends since creating “the Five” at Aliso Creek High School. But that was over ten years ago, and each is still trying to find that perfect someone... if perfect is even possible.
Arie, at the top of her career as VP of an established real estate company, discovers that her success has led to a less-than-successful dating life. But she may have just met the ideal man in work-a-holic film producer, Dustin Jacobs. Seeing each other once a week, or even once a month, is no big deal since they are both ambitious… until Arie realizes she wants much, much more.

Heather Moore is a versatile writer. She writes in many genres and every book I have written of hers I have enjoyed.
This is a sweet novella that moves very quickly. I can be read in an hour. I enjoyed the characters and the plot, I just wish that I could have gotten to know them better. (That is my way of saying I wish it were a full length book rather than a novella.)
I'm not usually a fan of novellas, but I've been following this Aliso Creek series and I have loved every one. Lost Then Found was no exception.
This is the story of Arie, an up and coming realtor who loves her job. She's thirty and the book opens with her date telling her she's not the sort of girl he'd ever introduce to his mother. Her reaction is funny and definitely deserved a slow hand-clap from the crowd that would grow into huge applause as she gives him what-for. She's a feisty girl and that serves her well for when she meets Dustin Jacobs, a big-time movie producer who is demanding that someone bring the real estate papers over to his house immediately. Without being able to contact her boss, Arie takes the papers over and is struck by how annoying and demanding Dustin is. Not to mention that he's requested her to be his agent from now on and Arie knows that's going to cause a lot of headaches between her and her boss.
The book gave us a peek into what's happening with the other Aliso Creek series characters and it was the type of sweet beginning to a romance that gives you butterflies. There are some really great one-liners in the book and even better kisses. I think this is the first book in the series that I really wanted to have just one more chapter on, especially as a new character is introduced near the end and has so much storyline potential. I hope we'll see these characters again (I would actually love a book two with this one) but I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.
Heather B. Moore's Aliso Creek Novella series is perfect when you want to read, but only have a little bit of time. I love to read for a little while when I go to bed. The other night I didn't have any other books pressing, so I grabbed Lost then Found. I didn't plan on reading the whole book in one sitting, but it was easy to do. It was an engaging story.
Arie and Dustin were great characters, and I think their story is a bit Cinderella-ish. Dustin isn't a prince, but he is a popular, successful person, and just meeting him is a bit of a big deal, not to mention having a relationship with him.
You don't learn much about the rest of "the five" in Lost then Found, but Arie and Dustin's story is sweet. I also loved that it was clean!
The Aliso Creek Novella books are available as eBooks for just $1.99 each on Amazon.
*I received an eCopy of Lost Then Found in exchange for a review.
In Lost Then Found we follow the story of Arie who has just broken up with a Brad who is some what of a jerk. Even though she is glad that he gone, Arie is sad about another failed relationship. Arie is a real estate agent. She is hired by famous movie producer, Dustin Jacobs to sell his home...even though she doesn't want to. Arie ends up losing her job because of Dustin. Their relationship has a rocky start. Dustin first appears to be a conceited, forceful and rude man. I didn't like him at the beginning of the story and neither did Arie. This story makes you see how first impressions are not always true. That giving someone a second chance can lead to good things. The ending is a sweet one. The kisses are as nicely done as always. Heather Moore truly knows how to write a believable and sigh worthy romance.
I have read all of the Aliso Creek Novellas by Heather Moore so far. They do not have to be read in order but each book tells a story about one of “the Five”-Liz, Gemma, Arie, Jess and Dres-who have been friends since high school. “Lost then found” is the story of Arie who is a business professional. She meets this man, Dustin who appears to be a little arrogant and tries to win Arie’s attention immediately. This novella has a cute ending but these books always leave me wanting more!! I like that the author is writing more novellas so she can tie in some of the characters in the other story lines so I’m not left wondering what happens to them after the book ends. Heather Moore is a wonderful writer and there hasn’t been a single book that I’ve read by her that I haven’t enjoyed!!
Another winner in the Aliso Creek novella series. I love the way Arie has a unique personality and life of her own, yet her story fits so nicely into the melody of those of her group of friends. When Brad drops her in the opening chapter I thought maybe she would find a way to get him back, but the man she ends up with is so much better I would have been disappointed if she'd settled for Brad. This is a story I would definitely like to see "Moore" of, and I'm hoping for an Aliso Creek novel that brings us more from the entire set of friends.
This is the first novella I have read in the Aliso Creek series. It was delightful and fun. Arie's strong work ethic and her strong opinions have made her dating life less than ideal. When she meets someone with as much drive as she has, the sparks fly, in more ways than one. I enjoyed watching Arie discover her feelings and learn to love. I look forward to reading Valentina's story next, One Chance. Valentina is a great friend of Arie's and played a fun role in Lost then Found.
Another fun novella from the Aliso Creek series. Great characters and engaging story. Heather has a way of making you finish one of her books in one sitting. The thing I lost most about her Aliso Creek series, are of course, the 5. I also enjoyed that this one helped us get to Valentina more too. Full review coming May 8th, 2013.
Of the Aliso Creek series (minus the one that's in the anthology), I've liked this one the best. It felt like a real story, with conflict and character development and forward momentum, but I felt like it ended too soon. Moore added an additional source of conflict on the male lead's side, but instead of develop it and see where it goes and how they couple can grow closer, it just ends. It wasn't that the loose end was left hanging, because it was pretty clear how things were going to work out, but more it was a missed opportunity. Just because it's a short story doesn't mean it has to feel like one, and this one didn't until they very end. Still, it was a fun, cute little story.
I’ve been enjoying this series but this one didn’t do it for me. It just kind of ended in the middle of the story. I know it’s a novella but the author shouldn’t have told this story for a short format. There was zero conflict in the relationship and very little build up to be where it was in the end. Oh well. You win some you lose some.
This is a very short novella, but a great read! She's in a rut, until she meets an amazing guy. He has issues, but he's really sweet! Then the big problem happens and within two pages there's a period and the end. I really would have loved more story!
Another great book to read when time is limited. This series is perfect when you want a quick fun read that can easily be read in one sitting. Know going into it that it is a short 62 page story and enjoy it for what it is.
I enjoyed this quick glimpse into Arie's life and the chance to get to know her. This is a quick sweet happily ever after story that left me smiling. Of course since it is so short I wished for more but felt satisfied with what I did get.
If you are looking for a quick romantic escape grab a copy of Lost then Found.
This one was a bit of a stretch for me to "get" with the Hollywood/famous connection and all that stuff since it's so far from my own reality, but I still thought it was cute and fun and I would have loved to see the original paintings Dustin had in his (fancy) home. This is the one story (so far) in this series that I felt ended too quickly/abruptly and could have been developed into a longer story or even book. I felt it developed Arie's character pretty well, but I needed to know more about Dustin and more development to their relationship to feel it was complete. The ending was cute with the little girl and the possibilities that opened up, but, again, I felt like this could have been developed into a longer book easily and we could see so much more insight into these characters. Now looking forward to the last story in this short story series.

This is Arie's story and it is an exciting one. Arie is a workaholic vice president of a real estate company. Her new client Dustin Jacobs the famous film producer affects her in a way she never imagined.
Arie, Liz, Jess and Valentina (Drew's ex) meet up for lunch. Gemma could not make it. It was kind weird because they are talking as if Gemma and Drew are not together. It make me wonder. Anyways, Arie fills them in on her work problems. All the girls can't believe she has a problem. Arie is feeling refreshed after lunch and a good chat with her girls.
Things get worse for Arie. But they also get better. A perfectly romantic date with Dustin. Wow sparks fly and the chemistry is off the charts! Things just keep going in the right direction for Arie!
I am becoming infatuated with this must read series!
Hollywood glitz and glamour. Arie is a successful real estate agent. Until Dustin gets her fired. He wants her to sell his house but he's her bosses client. And after getting fired, she can't sell his house because of an anti competition clause. So she has to start all over. Dustin feels bad for the trouble he caused but he's glad to have met Arie. And now he's sending clients her way to help start her own agency. He hasn't dated in years but now he convinces Arie to go out with him.
Arie is a successful real estate agent. After a bad date, she gets a phone call insisting she meet with a client immediately to sign papers to sell his house. Dustin Jacobs is a rich producer used to getting his way-and it shows in how the business deal transpires. I liked Arie's personality. She is tough as nails, but kind too. I wish there had been more to this story because I wasn't done seeing how Dustin & Arie interacted. A fun novella. language: clean, heat level" mild
Arie knows her strong personality helps her more than it hurts her, even if she scares off men. A long term, caring relationship just isn't attainable. Her semi boyfriend merely hints at doubt of a future together and Arie takes over to end things. If only everything else were so easy to manage. Her real estate job becomes a mess when movie producer Dustin makes demands of his own. Even if they are drawn to each other, two strong personalities can't control a bunch of chaos.
I really enjoyed reading Lost then Found. It was my first time reading the Aliso Creek series. I definitely plan on reading the rest in the series. It was a quick read being a novella. The characters and story line were interesting and I could have read more!
I recommend this book if you want a quick little romantic story to just enjoy reading!
What a great story. It was clean and interesting storyline. I liked it so much that I bought the Complete Alison Creek novel that contains all the books in the series. I just wish this one had an epilogue. I'm hoping the last book in the series will wrap up with news of them all.
