CLARITY MILLER's life has changed since she meet her guardian angel. She has learned that she's a Seer and now has to fight demons face to face. The Thanksgiving Dance was her wake up call and even with all the death and destruction of that night, she knows that God has a big plan for her.
Clarity accepts the call of a Seer and now has to use her "gift" to help the small town of Garlandton when an evil that is stronger than she could ever imagine comes to play a devious game. Clarity has a decision to make.
Can she sacrifice one to save many?
Broken, the second book in the Seer Society, will leave you asking one question - What do I believe in?
Warning: This book leaves you breathless. It leaves you wondering what you would do if you were in that situation. You will not be able to put this book down! It is a must read. Check out the website http://www.seersociety.com/ and read about the other books coming out in this series.
My Rating: 10 of 10!
My Cover Thoughts: I love this cover because it gives us some insight about the book. A little girl is in a forest with burning trees and birds that want to attack her. What is she to do? Who will save her? Read on to find out!
My Thoughts/Review: I absolutely love the world that Jenna has created. This is the second book in the series and Clarity must make decisions that will break someone’s heart. She will have to stand up to evil and show her light in a time of darkness. Evil is lurking at every corner and she must fight hard to keep her small town from turning completely evil.
She will lose someone who means the world to he. She will have to re-evaluate some relationships and stand by herself when no one will stand with her. Sam is always with her but he has a lot of explaining to do because he has not been veru forthcoming about his seer responsibilities. In this book we see new seers and the powers they wield and we will see sacrifice’s being made and new loves forming. If you have not read this series you need to go and get it. See what it is like to have to choose light over darkness and what it truly means to believe in God and all he has to offer.
Memorable Quotes: page 298 Brenton talking to Clarity “Clarity, I…” He trailed off and closed his eyes. My heart launched itself up my throat as I waited for him to finish. “I need a breather,” he finally said, opening his eyes. His expression was drenched with a sadness so profound my heart broke in two, his words slicing through it.
An incredible come back from book one that will BLOW YOU AWAY!!!! Every moment is powerful, edgy, emotional you just don't know what to expect next! I love all the new characters that the author brought into this book and the powerful important messages within it! This book will have people talking for a very long time!
Clarity Miller has alot of new challenges to face in this new book and it won't be easy but with her best friend, guardian angel and some new friends she just may be able to pull it off! Read on and enjoy!!!
This is the second book in the Seer Society series.
Jenna Kay is an excellent descriptive writer. Making the reader feel like they are "living" the book makes it even more real. The battle between good and evil is always around us - and Clarity does a great job of showing us what it takes to fight. She is growing up - and learning more about herself, her relationships, and future - and I look forward to seeing where her power takes her.
Start with the first book in the series "Clarity" and then on to this installment. Cannot wait for the next book!
My son and I just finished Broken by Jenna Kay. This book was absolutely amazing. We were captivated from start to finish. Definitely a book that you can't put down. Jenna has a remarkable way of drawing the reader right into the story. You feel as if you are right there experiencing things right along with Clarity and her friends. I can't wait to see where the future takes Clarity and her friends. A must read!
This story was incredibly easy to get lost in... It picks up exactly where Clarity left off, immediately drawing the reader in. Broken put the flesh on the skeleton that was the seer reality in Clarity. It really forces the reader to confront their own beliefs, and does a good job of presnting a great alternative if they find their's aren't as strong as they thought. Great!
