Samantha has a serious crush on her roommate, Kara, but she has never dared to act on her fantasies. Until Valentine’s day, when Kara brings home her latest date, Daniel, and involves Sam into a naughty play, that obviously results in a more naughty night.

Scorching hot, affectionate, sweet erotic story about best friends becoming lovers.

Though Daniel was kind of a third wheel, he didn’t seem to mind.

That doesn’t mean he wasn’t participating, because he was. But the focus was on the two girls, and it worked really well. I’d love to read more about them.

Quick and steamy read. Recommended!

3 shortie stars

Super HOT erotic shortie about a best friend who finally gets her wish, all with the game of hearts. On Valentine’s Day, Sam’s roommate, Kara, brings home a meathead-hottie and a game of matching candy hearts. Rules are if you don’t get a match you have to take a piece of clothing off but if you win, you get to perform whatever the hearts says to do on a player of your choice. Sam takes this opportunity to show Kara just how much she’s wanted her, leading into a very interesting game and a night the three of them will never forget. Super short read but perfect if your in need a lil heat.

Scorching hot! I could end the review right here and that should be enough.

Kara...She is the kind of girl that inspires journal writing and day dreams. Day dreams of the sexy variety. The insane part is the dreaming is coming from the last place she would suspect. Honestly the dreamer is just as shocked. Her roommate Samantha (Sam).

Sam and Kara are friends. Best friends. Confidants and roommates. But Kara holds a secret desire for her friend. She has never wanted a woman before, but Kara has changed her thoughts on that subject. One Valentines day everything changes. Throw in a hot meathead...Hahaha! Well, then you have one spicy, sexy and wild ride!

Throw out any pretense at the door and step behind closed doors of this apartment. What will you get? well trust me it is not PG. It is rated with a big X and it's full of steam.

If a sexy time, a little f/f/ M action is something you find tantalizing give this quick read a try...

Geesh My kindle is sizzling!

PS. Don't read it in the car while waiting at the ball field :O

Much like my favorite chocolate this short story is sinfully delicious! I have never described a book that way before, but those are the most appropriate words I can think of. The writing flowed from beginning to end, and it was just so realistic and totally possible. The cover (which I love) is what initially caught my attention, and the storyline itself sealed the deal for me. This book is not for the faint of heart, so beware if you can't handle all the hotness it encompasses. Be prepared with water and a fan b/c this is one sexy steamy read! I can't wait for the next installment in this series!

I'll never look at candy hearts the same way. Typically my menage preference in books and novellas is 1 girl and 2 (or more) guys. That said, I quite enjoyed Heart You. This is a short novella, so there is not a lot of character and plot development. What it is, is one night, Valentine's Day, in the life of two female roommates who play a game with a one-night stand and adult-oriented candy hearts. As would be expected in erotica, the game leads to sex and the sex is hot! Ms. Folsom has created a well written story and I look forward to reading more in the series.

I am not normally a fan of short stories or novellas because I find that I am left wanting more. I love to curl up and immerse myself into a book and lose myself for hours. "Heart You" was a breakaway for me and interestingly enough although it did not take me long to read, I was still tangled up in thoughts of the story of Kara and Samantha. There is not only room on my to-be-read list for more shorter length stories but more of this genre. Living in more enlightened times where the LGBT communities are getting more and more support makes this book a joy to read. My personal sexual, religious or political affiliations had nothing to do with my visceral response to one Valentine's Day and what transpires between these roommates.

There is much to applaud in this story. About a quarter of the way through the story there is a line that could easily have been the introduction. "Seriously, I am just a chick who just so happens to have a crush on her roommate." These are young women, young enough to still have smooth thighs and perky breasts and all the things women of a certain age took for granted when we were 20+ years younger. But lust is not something that dims when one enters other decades and if a woman has always had a bi-curious nature she is likely to still be thinking that way as the years pass. That is the beauty of this story. Emboldened by either having Kara's physical male date in the apartment, or the calendar date of Valentine's Day these two women live out their previously hidden fantasies. We get a clear view that Samantha has had a crush on Kara. Kara seems to be looking for a man to complete her and hence enters Daniel the Valentine's Day date but from all indicators somebody new and not necessarily picked for much more than a buffed out body and a willingness to play. His presence is used as the catalyst to have Samantha come out and join them in a game which leads to a series of foreplay activities between the two women.

This is not a story for those that are looking for innuendo or a light dusting of sexual tension. This is ripe with detail. My personal opinion is that the character of Daniel is there in a supporting role to ease in those women that might be uncomfortable with reading about a female only sex scene. What happens to these roommates after this Valentine's Day gift to one another is not written. But what they share in the privacy of their apartment is clearly a large event in their young lives and if we were to talk to Samantha and Kara 20 years in the future while they are juggling a career, 2.5 children, a husband and a dog I believe that they would remember the events as if they had been yesterday.

Okay, so the synopsis of this book reads: Have you ever wanted something you know you shouldn't? That forbidden fruit. A temptation that will surely lead you down the path of illicit indulgence, and ultimately, pleasure beyond your wildest imaginations.
Me: (NO.. but it sounds exciting. )

That was the daily torture Samantha put herself through when she thought of her roommate, Kara. Sitting alone on Valentine's Day, Sam found comfort in sharing her innermost secrets with her trusty journal while lusting over the brown-eyed goddess. At least until Kara comes home with a sizzling hot man and a night full of naughty games that would even make cupid blush.

This was for sure a fast paced Erotica Novella. It gets right to the “knitty gritty” of F/F/M.
The writing style of Rene Folsom is great! She hooked me in right away. I didn’t think I would enjoy the story because it was my first book with F/F but it was really well written to where I wasn’t “turned off” by it. As a matter of fact the way she wrote it, it was sexy as heck.

The two roommates Samantha and Kara apparently have feeling for each other but never shared them with each other and what starts off with a simple game of “matching Valentine candy hearts” in the living room, moves into a hot scene in the bedroom with Kara and her date with Samantha. Samantha figures it is now or never to show Kara how she feels and Kara was very receptive to it and Daniel, Kara’s date, was all into it.

I wouldn’t recommend this book for the “sweet and innocent”. Not that I am that, but I think this short novella was just the right length to introduce me to the “scene”, and I am glad I read it. If Rene writes all of her stories like she did this one, I think I can handle anything she writes. She does it with great style that makes it “wrong” but “oh so right”.
With the well written story, the hot scenes, and perfect length, I give this book 5 stars.

This is my first book read from this author; it will by no means be my last.

Sam has a roommate one she has had for awhile, who is not just her roommate but also her best friend. Kara brings home a guy on Valentine's Day; she is always looking for “that guy.”
They begin a game that neither knew would turn out that way it does. II t was for fun but it was for the knock your sock off kind of fun.
I loved reading this book because it was just plain fun; it was my first girl on girl so you could say they pop my cherry so to speak. This book is highly sexually charged and full of hot sex f/f, f/m, and f/m/f. If you are looking for a quick fast paced nouvelle with some hot foreplay and sex this is your book.
Watch out you'll want a shower and a smoke after this one. This book is for an open-minded audience, if you don't have one don't read. If you love a book with sex and get to the, mmmmm , point, then enjoy. I did!

Before this review begins I want to warn you all that this story is not my normal type of literature and is meant for mature readers only. Everyone below 18 should not tred any further.

As stated before, this story is not my usual cup of tea. I’m not normally one to read any kind of erotica, not for any particular reason other than it’s just not my preference. But after having read Heart You by Rene Folsom I was absolutely blown away!

Rene’s ability to create a picture is astounding. Each scene is steamy, flowing from one point to the next fluidly. These characters are very much alive, each touch and kiss worth something. This isn’t just some random smut story, this is the MASTER of all smut stories. Rene Folsom’s writing style is brilliant, each line bringing new depth to the scene unfolding in front of you. I normally don’t like erotica stories, but the ones done by Rene Folsom are an exception!

While reading this novelette, it brought the blush to my face. I have never been big on reading F/F books, however with this one; I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. The story line of this novelette was well written to the point where there weren’t a lot of unnecessary details.

The characters were well written, even with the length of this story, you could almost feel the tension that Samantha had, and the desire she had for Kara as well. One thing that I did like with this story, was at a certain part (I don’t want to give too much away!) it was almost as if you could feel the turmoil that Kara had felt.

All in all, I think that this is a great short story to read. There is 2 books in this series so far, but the good part about that is they are different characters, so even if you have read Bind Me, you can still read Heart You and have a fresh new story!

HOMMINA, HOMMINA!

The lovely and talented Rene is now trying her hand at writing, and if she's as good with the rest of her body as she is with that hand, then she's just as awesome as the sensual characters she's created for this first novellette of her "Roommate Romance" series. This is one that's probably best NOT read in public...that is, unless it'll be socially acceptable to squirm in your seat while fighting the urge to steal a few "personal" touches of one's own intimate areas....

Yes, read HEART YOU in private, alone--or, better yet, with a partner (or partners) with whom you may be able to re-enact this steamy sex-fantasy to complete satisfaction!

I don't even smoke, but I needed a cigarette when I was finished....

SEXY SEXY SEXY!!! This is a very short story, maybe a 20-30 minute read, if that and is part of the Roommate series that are all stand alone pieces of YUM!

This one a f/f/slightly allowed to be there male.

Rene is a gifted writer seen in a book even with an erotic topic and written in so few pages. Her words weave a tale of seduction and hot sex and the reader gets to dive right in w/o the drama of a full novel. It is so refreshing to have a stash of short reads that get down to business but don't read as a trashy novel. The sex is steamy and very well written. MORE!!

This is f/f/with a guy thrown in there.

Would I recommend? YES YES YES!!!

I was given a copy of this book by the author and was not compensated for my honest review.
This was a short story that was hot and spicy! I am not going to go into details, simply because of it’s length. I do think that Sam should have grabbed the bull by the horn and told Kara how she felt sooner. Life is way to short to sit around wondering if someone is going to be upset because you think they are sexy as hell and want to be with them.
This is the first in the Roommate Romance series by Rene Folsom and I am looking forward to more from this engaging author!

Heart You is a coffee break read which got me hot under the collar. It is well written and gave enough detail for the main characters to be engaging. The ending is open, allowing you to imagine what might happen next, without it being a cliffhanger. A sweet, steamy read that will warm up an evening and maybe make you think about friendships of your own and wonder …

Looking for a HOT, STEAMY, SEXY read? Well this is the book for you. Rene Folsom will suck you into her steamy world, from the very start.

Sam and Kara are best friend and roommates, but Sam has been keeping something from Kara. What is it? Well, Sam is having feeling for her best friend and this isn't normal feelings. No Sam wants Kara in a totally different way then just as a best friend, she has serious feelings for Kara and really wants to make a move, and cross that line from best friends to lovers.

When Kara comes home on Valentines day with a man name Daniel and box of risque candy hearts from the adult store, Kara is ready to get the night started with a game. What is this game? Match the candy hearts and if you find the match, well you get to preform whatever it says on the hearts. These are adult candy so the game is anything but kiddie.

Sam is totally in for the game, finally she will be able to get close to Kara and touch her in ways she's only been dreaming of for quite a while. So hell yeah she's on board, even if she has to suck it up (Literally) and play with Daniel too, as long as she get's Kara who give a crap.

Sam has never been with a girl and has never felt this way ever before, so she is venturing into new territories and there is no looking back.

Soon the game get's going and gets hot. After a while, when everyone is down to their underwear or either naked, Daniel is ready to take it into the bedroom, and that is where they go.

In the bedroom the best-friends will learn about each other in different way's they never thought, and only Sam has been dreaming of.

How will this all pan out? Will it crash and burn, or will it be just what Sam has been fantasizing over for a while?

Heart You, is something you will devour and leave you fanning your self off, and say's "damn". The story picks up fast and from the very beginning it is STEAMY, SEXY and have you blushing. I absolutely LOVED the concept of this short read, it's defiantly different from other books I have read, and I enjoyed how the author Rene Folsom describe everything, she pulls you right into the book. After reading this, I will be looking for these risque candy's, lol. I can't wait to see what Rene Folsom comes up next in the, The Roommate Romance.

WARNING: THIS BOOK IS A EROTICA THAT HAS F/F F/M/F ENCOUNTERS AND TOTAL HOTNESS FACTOR. BE READY TO FAN YOURSELF ;)

A JUICY~APPETIZING READ!!

Before I give you my review~be forewarned that this book contains very hot and erotic adult content. F/F F/M/F
It is one fantastic ride if this content is for you.;)

~Heart You by Rene Folsom~

Samantha and Kara are roommates. They have known each other for two years and Sam's feelings for Kara go beyond friendship. As a matter of fact, Sam aches for Kara's attention and touch.

One day on Valentines Day Kara comes home with a guy named Daniel. Kara yells at Sam to get her butt to the living room. Sam is greeted by a water balloon right in the chest that leaves very little to the imagination.
Kara gives Sam a sly look and tells her that they want to play a game with some risque' candy hearts. If you don't get a match then you must take a piece of clothing off, but if you get a match you must perform what the heart says. Book lovers~we aren't talking PG acts here. We are talking hot and sexy acts of pure insane satisfaction.

Samantha can hardly contain herself and runs her finger down Kara's leg. Kara turns to Sam and tells her if she wants to touch her she has to get a matching heart first.
The game begins.......
It starts out lukewarm, but yet lusty.
As the game progresses it gets spicy and so very heated.
Once they head for the room it turns into heavy erotic play like you won't believe.
You WILL need more than a cold shower before this book is over.

I am excited to know this is just the tip of the iceberg in the Roommate Romance Series.
The next sexy installments will be a whole new story with different characters.
I know we can count on many more cold showers in the future.
Rene Folsom will surely make sure of that.;)

4 out of 5 stars for this sexy short story.

Have you ever wanted something you know you shouldn't? That forbidden fruit. A temptation that will surely lead you down the path of illicit indulgence, and ultimately, pleasure beyond your wildest imaginations.

That was the daily torture Samantha put herself through when she thought of her roommate, Kara. Hold on to your ereaders because this is one HOT and steamy short story! Coming in at around 45 pages there really isn't any backstory to introduce the characters. However, that really isn't an issue because the brief glimpse we get of Samantha and Kara is very satisfying.

Samantha and Kara have been roommates for a while, but over that time Samantha has developed feelings for Kara that she hasn't shared. Enter, one Valentine's Day night, a pack of naughty heart candies, Kara with hottie Dan, and a game of Match the Hearts. The object of the game is to get two of the same hearts with a little twist, or lose a piece of clothing. Needless to say Match the Hearts gets heated very quickly between Samantha, Kara, and Dan.

I'll leave the rest for you to read yourself, because this is one of the best F/F/M short stories I've read in a long time. In fact I enjoyed Kara and Samantha so much I'd love to see them in a full novel-length story, with or without Dan involved. ~ Reviewed by Chris

If you're not into f/f stories or threesomes, or can't at least have an open mind, DO NOT READ THIS. I hate when people read something outside their comfort zone and then trash what they read because the author wrote something that made them uncomfortable. STOP READING. Or DON'T PICK IT UP! This is an EROTIC, SHORT STORY. Got that? EROTIC. There will be SEX. SHORT STORY. It's not a full-length NOVEL. Got it? Okay. Good. Now, if you're still interested, read on...

I tend to shy away from erotica, particularly short stories. Why? Not because I'm a prude, but because, as anyone who reads my reviews with regularity will tell you, I'm very much into character-driven stories. By their very nature, erotic shorts are NOT expected to focus on character or have time to develop them enough for me to care about them. But Rene succeeded in doing just that! (Gonna post these two paragraphs for all the stories in the set).

I grabbed this one for free at Amazon, in preparation of giving an honest review of the Roommate Romance Set for Rene. This was my introduction to her work, and it made me want to read more! I wished that the story was much longer, because I liked the characters and could feel the chemistry between them. I'm straight, but it was still incredibly hot and sexy, despite the story being told through the voice of a main character who was, at the very least, bi-sexual and very much into her same-sex roommate. For a very short read, she packed a lot into it, and I not only wanted to read the rest of the Set, I wanted to read more of her work! Bravo, Rene, on a great first work AND the perfect, sexy cover (did I mention she's a talented graphic artist? No? She is!)

Heart You is unbelievably hot in that way that is completely believable.

It's Valentine's Day and Sam is in her room wishing things between her and her roommate, Kara, were different. Instead, Kara is bringing home a hot date for the night and wants to force Sam into playing a game with them. Things start to heat up when the ice breaking game gets under way as Kara realizes just how strongly Sam feels for her. Daniel, the "hot date", is completely into it because really, what hot blooded male isn't up for a threesome sometimes? The steaminess coming from the characters makes you feel that you are right there in the room with them and leaves you aching for more.

Rene Folsom is a brand new author to me and I'm incredibly happy I found her. She manages to make a short story seem much longer than it is and lets it end in just the right place. Her descriptions are unique in the way that there is no repetitiveness in what's going on, nor any feelings of 'been there, read that' that so many books fall into. Heart You was a wonderful book and I'm incredibly happy that I had the chance to read it.

Disclosure: I was provided a copy of Heart You in exchange for an honest review. But if I had known it would be so awesome, I would have bought it myself! Read it, you won't have any regrets.

Wow! I applaud the author Rene Folsom for writing such an entertaining and wonderful story. It wasn't a long story but it didn’t matter because it was still beyond brilliant! The writing was fantastic and the words painted a picture in your mind that makes you feel like you are actually in the story.

Sam and Kara are best friends and roommates. Sam was sitting alone on Valentine's Day, thinking about Kara and how much she wants her to feel the same way about her, while she wrote in her journal. Sam's feelings and attraction to Kara was getting impossible to ignore when suddenly Kara comes home on Valentines night...with a man. Sam then experiences a night full of naughty games with Kara, finally being able to touch Kara and letting her feelings be known.

This short was beautifully written and kept me entertained the whole time. It was a steamy and wonderfully drool worthy short story. It was definitely different from books that I usually read but just as amazing! I look forward to seeing what the author comes up with next and I can't wait to get her other books because I know with her talent to make the words come alive, I will always be a fan of her writing.

This book was a nice quick read. Steamy read for sure! It is the ever loving Valentines day and Sam has decided that today she is finally going to tell Kara how she feels. Well wouldn't you know Kara has a nice game planned for her..and Daniel a guy she brought home.

They play a fun stripping/sexual favor game that definitely heats things up in the apartment. Kara finally has indications of how Sam feels and she is reacting exactly as Sam could have dreamed. This game starts out hot and gets only hotter. Its a quick super Hot read with a very great erotic intimate scene between the 3 players.

This book was a great read :D I enjoyed the story and the characters. It was written very well and was an easy story to follow being as short as it was. I thought it engaged you just enough to get you hooked on the characters and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series :D Yum. Rene has a way with words that grabs your attention.

I found this book to be a very steamy read that most of the adults I know would enjoy. Samantha has been living with Kara and hiding her sexual desire for her. On Valentine's Day; however, she finally gets to explore her desires when Kara comes home with Daniel and a box of adult conversation hearts ready for a game. The game that they play consists of matching the hearts and performing the action on the hearts. The game gets going and eventually on Daniel's suggestion moved to the bedroom. Samantha had never been with another woman before and is finally getting to explore her feelings for roommate and best friend Kara. Will she be satisfied by this encounter or will it fall short of her expectations? You'll just have to read it and find out. This book starts hot, quickly pulls you in and makes you feel like a part of the action before it picks up from there and absolutely leaves you breathless and longing for more. It made me a quick fan of author Rene Folsom, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

'Heart You' is a sweet and Uber sexy erotica. Sam, the main character, finds an opportune moment to finally woo and seduce her roommate and bff. This is helped along by a cute guy who's there as a token penis. Just being honest here!

This erotica gets classified as 'sweet' because of the emotion and passion involved. Sam's feelings are clear and helped along by her inner dialogue. The author manages this both sensitively and with a realistic voice.

Obviously, it's super sexy because of the level of steam and heat involved between the F/F/M trio. Whilst it's most definitely erotic and explicit, the book didn't breach my discomfort zone. The author, Rene Folsom, has successfully produced a short story that fits its synopsis and offers likeable characters in a fun and easy way.

Before reading this book you’ll need the following: a fan, dry panties and some privacy. That was my warning, Folsom wrote an incredible sexy short story that had me blushing and begging for more. Who hasn’t ever thought about someone they considered “off limits?” Rene Folsom brings that scenario to life through Kara’s sulking to sultry Valentine’s Day evening. Heart You gives an example of when three’s not a crowd if there’s desire and naughty games involved. Even though it’s a short story, Folsom will get you addicted to her roommates and wishing there was more. You’ll need the fan for when the games begin. Oh, the hotness of the steamy scenes is indescribable and I can’t think of another author who does hot and steamy better than Folsom. After I finished this novella, I would have signed up for a three some without a second thought. I couldn’t have asked for a better story.

The main reason why I was drawn to this, because I don’t normally read f/f/m where the females in the end have the hots for each other, was because in my current work I’m writing the two main (female) characters having the hots for each other haha. So I was curious and wanted something that might help me out, even though my work isn’t as steamy as this one. ;)

Perfect for Valentine’s Day, I was drawn in with the little back story then hooked by the naughty candy game (one that seems like fun for me and my Marine haha). This short is truly just for your entertainment, nothing more, and it delivers! So if you love steamy reads then this is for you! And it’s free!

Definitely interested in more of Mrs. Folsom’s works!

This story was deftly written. Author, Rene Folsom, pulls the reader in from the first sentence and like that anticipated kiss, leaves you breathless and wanting more. Her writing is effortless and leads you joyously into the melee that is Heart You. The clincher comes from a candy laced kiss and hurls you straight into the arms of pure pleasure. You will walk away looking to walk toward a "helping hand." This short was definitely worth the read and definitely a bargain.

Rene Folsom delivers a tremendous story, filled with delicious tension and a fulfilling release. This is her first published work and I am looking forward to her future endeavors, whatever the genre.

This story is Erotica and contains F/F and F/M/F sexual situations. Adult Content.

I have to say, though as most of you by now know, Erotica is not my genre of choice. This review is being done for a friend.
I loved how it began. I have no idea how old these characters are. If I had to guess, I'd say college age, or freshly out of college. They're fun, high spirited best friends.
Kara comes off as a party girl, Sam more as the quiet unintentionally shy type. Kara has no idea how Sam feels about her. The opening scene was a great way to break the ice and even had me chuckling a bit.
This story, being as short as it is, takes no time at all to go from rated R to XXX. It's a steamy read, and very descriptive. It's a sure favorite for any fan of the genre
I give this book 4 of 5
