Fairan: A Short Story

Rate this book
Have you ever wondered what the truth is about fairies? What are they like? Are they actually six inches tall? Do they really exist? Well, I- Anabelle Perry- know the truth and have actually met one. His name was Derrick Fairan and he took my breathe away when he walked into my hotel and looked into my eyes.

He also planned to take my mother away, which I hadn't known. He was sent to persuade Mama into becoming the new Queen of the Fairan population.

The story was short but sweet. Anabelle meets Fairan as he checks into her hotel in his quest to find the fairy queen. I haven't read many books with fairies so I enjoyed this new (for me) paranormal element.

I don't want to spoil the plot too much but I will say it is a great love at first sight story.

Deliciously Paranormal. I was very impressed by this short story, even though I wasn't sure I was even going to like it. I'm not a huge fan of fairies, but the way the author changed up the traditional made me want to learn more. I hope she writes more about this community and these characters soon.

Awesome, short fast love story. This is one that I will read again. I love Genevieve as a writer and enjoy her stories. Belle and Derek make an unexpected couple. It is sweet how it all comes together and how Belle finds out that she is a princess.

I thought this was great short story that I would love to see done as a full novel. The story sucks you in and you want more, you do not want it to end. I really hope that there are more stories like this one.

This short story has a very unique take on the typical faerie story. We get to see the world of the "fairan" (aka faerie) through the eyes of a half-breed. Anabelle works for her mother, the owner of what used to be a fairan only hotel but has become just an ordinary hotel since her fairan father's death. Her life is fairly ordinary until a beautiful member of the fairan walks into the hotel. He comes with shocking news about her father's life and turns her life upside-down. There's a teeny bit of smut and some fated-like romance, but the world that is built is really the star of this story.

"Fairan:A hort Story" is a twist on what we know about the Fae people. This shows that they still live alongside the human race and how they all use the last name Fairan.

Annabelle runs a bed and breakfast with her Mom that used to only have Fairan guests until her Dad passed away, but now they have mostly human ones. That is until he walked in! Derrick is on a mission to bring back the King's wife to rule the fairan, but will he find her in time to save his people from destruction? What other things will he discover along the way? And will Annabelle survive his arrival?
