This is a timeless book about making your home a place for your heart whether you have a large family or it's just you. Great inspiration for making small changes in your decor that have a big impact. This book is on my keeper shelf and I re-read it every few years.
Notes: what houses used to be before Pinterest made everything into a competition where no one trusts their own instincts and the clutter that makes a Home doesn't exist; this book is a refreshing reminder that your home is your own space
Loved the colors & Matisse on pages 74 & 75. It looks so sloppy and inviting. I also adored all the textures on page 139 and the beautiful office on pages 192-193.
some pretty rooms. overall a sort of dated feel, with the STUPIDEST most unreadable font and random colorization of text... i see why it was $1 at the goodwill.
A beautiful book full of decorating ideas to make a house a home. Filled with pictures and not text heavy this one is a feast for the eyes. But borrow from the library because it is expensive.
This book explains why the inside of my home is decorated the way it is...w/everything that makes me smile. I feel validated...& now I have steps & tricks to try, along w/my gut instinct.
