Leonard Jacobson is a mystic, author and teacher, deeply committed to helping others break through to the joyous experience of living in the NOW.
For the past four decades, he has shared a simple and direct way of awakening, infused with love, compassion, and truth.
Leonard teaches how to become fundamentally present and awaken into the truth of who you are, the truth of life, the truth of love and the truth of Oneness. He teaches how to arise in mastery of your mind and ego, so that you are no longer continuously and involuntarily pulled out of Presence.
Leonard’s teaching is about coming back to yourself in a full and complete way, so that you no longer lose yourself in others, or in your story. It is for all those genuinely seeking to awaken, who want to overcome the pain and limitations of the past, and open into a more loving and abundant world.
Leonard is the author of five books. He lives Wayzata, Minnesota and offers regular teaching sessions, workshops, and longer residential retreats in the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia.
This book is a good summary of the whole of Leonard Jacobson's teachings and approach, however, it's not much use if you haven't been through his lectures, video series, or other books that offer a much more in-depth explanation. This book is a series of mini-chapters and headers, that summarise key points in his approach, such as being present, managing the ego and emotional parts of one's self, and man and woman's place in the world and universe. I highly recommend going through LJ's social media or website content, which offers much free material and gives some in-depth and practical exercises to be present (if this is your sort of thing). If I had to compare LJ with some other teachers, I would say he's a mix of Eckhart Tolle, Barry Long, ACIM, and modern mindfulness. The good thing is that LJ is a great communicator, and easily gets his messages across in simple language. Recommended for those starting on the journey of awakening and even those unfamiliar with shadow work and how that fits in with meditation.
