"The good girl always falls for the bad boy," he sneered and I smirked. "Well, you're in luck because I'm not a good girl," I retorted, causing a small smile to appear on his face. "Prove it."
When Andy Deeks moves away from home to attend university, she soon regrets not checking out the details on her new roommate first. Enter Hunter. Arrogant and a bad boy, yet totally irresistible. Andy soon finds herself shedding her good girl shell to teach this jerk a lesson. Dozens of bets, make out sessions and challenges causes Andy to start following Hunter's lead. Cliche story about the girl changing the player? No, the player is changing the good girl, and not for the better.
Ughh... this book was just not my type. The idea story line was not really that bad and neither was the writing quality but for some reason, I just did not like the book that much. I think that it could have been much more better.
The main characters were the typical bad boy and good girl. Andy was the girl who always followed the rules and Hunter was the bad-ass ex-gangster. The characters themselves were not that bad but I did not like them that much. Plus, I think that there were WAY too many repetitions of the word 'badass' and 'good girl'.
Fine, we get it! He's a gang leader and you're the innocent little church girl trying to act all bad! NO NEED TO REPEAT THAT AGAIN AND AGAIN. A lot of stories use the 'badass-in-a-gang' theme nowadays. And the few that I read were much more interesting to read than this.
Bad Boy Isn't my Type was more well written than most wattpad stories but still the overall story was awfully boring. Yes, there was action, drama, fighting, blah blah blah but I still wasn't interested in it that much.
Like I said. the story was well written but it was going really slowly. And there was dancing in it. I don't have anything against dancing but, I didn't like it when the story described about Andy and her dance crew's dancing. Even though it wasn't explained in excruciating details, the story still did describe how she danced and where she danced. And dancing wasn't even that much of a major part in the story!
For me, the story was going downhill right from the start. It got kinda better from about the 21st chapter. But still, I had thoughts about putting the book down and ignoring it. I had the tgouht loads of times while I was reading the book. But, since I started it, I finished it. I was thinking, "Come on, how much more bad could it get?" Turns out, not that much.
So, anyways, I'm gonna read the sequel now. Cause it's a habit of mine that when I start reading a series I have to finish it. But, I would like to say to whoever is reading my review right now, that if you usually have the same choice in books as me, I'd advice you to not read this book.
I loved this story. The characters were perfect and spot on. Don't think they could have turned out better accept for the fact that Andy never seemed fazed by being stalked and all the shit she went through. Except for all the extreme stuff of course. Andy is the type of person I aim to be, less extreme version who doesn't get involved in gangs but her personality is awesome, I love it and in some ways I see myself as her... Hunter wasn't afraid to give other people crap and he wasn't the cliche bad boy who had a soft heart and couldn't stand to kill people/hurt people too much... All in all the plot was amazing, the writing was nice, could use some editing, but was nice overall. Humour was a constant and that is one thing I look for in a good book. No matter how depressing or angsty a story is, there has to be humour, preferably crude humour or sarcasm.
I rate this book a five of five and it is ranked on the top of my favourite stories. It's sequel is just as awesome so check it out.
I adore this book! You've gotta love a book that had violence, romance, and sarcastic humour.
Andrea, or Andy as she is better known as, is a goody goody. She's never done a bad thing in her life, but now she's moving into a university flat. A flat that she's supposed to be supposed to be sharing with her best friend and not bad boy Hunter. After meeting Hunter who insists that she'll fall for him first they put on a bet, whoever begs to sleep with the other first loses the bet and a dose of dignity.
Hunter is an ex gang member, he's arrogant and caught up in his family drama and ruthless gang wars. Then enter sweet, innocent yet quick to insult Andy who turns his life upside down with a sway of her hips.
These characters are loveable yet so different that they are brought together in unusual circumstances. If you love books that are humorous yet still have a hint of the cliche love story then this is the novel for you!
I've read this story probably 3 times now. It deals with some heavy things but I really enjoyed it. I love Hunter and Andy so much. I'm sure I'll read it a few more times.
Would’ve given this 1 star but I’ve read way worse. I had no clue what I got myself into, I thought this would just be another typical fun cute teen romance story but nope I was fooled. This book was just a bit too cliche for my liking, I mean the main character Andy is supposed to be this ‘good’ girl but she hasn’t done anything to prove that, it makes no sense to me. I had problems with the almost rape in the story and how she kept threatening to call rape, I’m not entirely sure it was handled well. When the story started going towards the gang stuff, I think that’s were my little interest just diminished. I couldn’t care about what was going on, nothing made sense and there were too many changes in the plot and tone of the book for me to care about anything that was happening. Seriously, I mean the whole gang business was just confusing and I was not interested at all about the new plot. All the characters were bland in my opinion. The only reason this got a two star is because there were a few funny moments (that only happened in the beginning half of the book) and there was this great comment someone wrote in one of the earlier chapters that had me dying of laughter.
Oh my god. This is probably one of my favorite books of all time. The characters were so funny and sarcastic, and I absolutely fell in love with them. The plot wasn't the cliche story you see all the time. The second book is just as good, and the end of the second I started crying and sobbing and wailing because I thought that *SPOILER ALERRRRT* Hunter died. But then the author just went like "haha jk" and I was like "thank god" cause if Hunter died, I would have murdered the author.
I think it has a good storyline, the characters were all quirky and interesting. I think there needed to be more of a twist than Chase being the traitor due to his lack of relevance to the story. Seb's is he, is he not in the gang was unclear and hard to keep track of although I think that was the point

Wow.. I don't have enough words to describe it. It was perfectly splendid. Not some cliche romcom book but does has an actual story. Really glad to find something like this on wattpad because there aren't a lot stories like this. The story blew my mind. It was full of humor and suspense and thriller. I would really suggest reading this book to any type of reader
My friend and I are currently going back and forth on Snapchat about different Wattpad books that we read back in the day because I was describing some of the smut romance books I've been reading this past summer and I just discovered this one again. I have no other explanation or defense for myself but enjoy these updates clogging your feed
The book...idk what to say it was just, not my type or something. I love bad boy romances but this was not good to be honest. Even the plot twist were so lame, like if something would happen you'd be like... Okay. It was just soo soo plain I didn't like it at all.
It was an interesting book I guess, I sort of stopped near the end because I got tired of the main character and I absolutely hated how much they mentioned SA and such in a joking manner
one of the first wattpad books i read, i barely remember it but i remember when *spoiler?* the author didn't write smut so someone in the comments wrote it

this was one of my favorite wattpad books (plus the sequel). mind you i did read it at like 13/14 but i still remember so much of it and andy and hunter remain one of my favorite book couples
Plot: Andy moves into the university. She soon realized that she should have doubled check the roommate listing. When she meets Hunter her roommate. Hunter is a player and is an arrogant jerk that has an ego bigger than himself. She first hated him. She continued to be the good girl she was ,but soon after she starts warming up to Hunter she starts being more rebellious rather than continuing her good girl exterior. She found it more exciting. He thinks he can get with her, and she thinks she can resist him. In the end they end up falling for each other. He did something he thought he would never do and so did she but in the end the good girl always falls for the bad boy.
Characteristics: Hunter definitely grew as a person because he never thought he would fall for a girl. Also thought that every girl would go for him. And then he realises how different she is and home he can learn to trust.
Personal Response: This was a good book but it was almost like every other book out there it was almost too predictable but I love the story line so I finished the book.
Recommendations: If you like a classic bad boy good girl love story than you would like this book.
