Just carrying a million dollars around is exhausting. Paying my mother's ransom was a relief but I had too much time to think about Tristan on that ferry ride. He was more than I had dared hope for and less than I deserved.
I underestimated his power and didn't give him nearly enough credit for determination. He had me on his jet again, flying high and wanting him. Consequences be damned.
Who could be prepared for what he had to say? I wasn't going to hold him to the promise he intended to keep. When he opened the heavy door to his heart we both knew it would change what we had. Trouble is, I still didn't have a word for what it is we had.
Our bodies tended to do all the talking. Sometimes, it seemed to me there wasn't much left to say.
This final part of the Year of the Billionaire is meant to be read following part 1, Knowing His Secret and part 2, Taking His Risk. This is adult erotic romance intended only for readers over 18. This is a novella of approximately 32,000 words.
The conclusion to Year of the Billionaire is just what it should have been. My hopes that the characters would grow came true. Raina was very immature in the beginning and was expecting way to much from their initial encounters. I for one think she should have just enjoyed Tristan in the beginning. But the storyline progressed as it should have and in the end the 2 characters healed together.
Nada nuevo, es una combinación de 9 semanas y media y 50 sombras. Ni modo se queda con solo 2 estrellas, aunque me gusto el final pero para mi gusto le falto trama.
This was my favorite book from this series, so much happened in this book. I loved how Raina finally stood her ground and told him what they were doing was not enough for her and it broke my heart when Tristan did not protest her decision but became cold and left her in his apartment with his last words of "I'll be in touch...later". I hated how hurt Raina was and the dream/nightmare she has had me crying. I was thrilled when she got a job but always thought that Tristan had something to do with it. I was happy that Tristan missed her and wanted to take her to his old home, to meet his father, to spend a day doing just normal things together, and I loved that he shared parts of his past with her, it was great hearing more about his mother. There were some extra hot sex scenes in this book and it was fantastic to read. I was so happy about what happened when Raina met Tristan's father, I thought this could be the start for Tristan and Raina to move forward but man was I wrong. I cried so much when he once again told her that more or less there would never be a true future for them, no expectations. Then she surprised me and had some limitations for their relationship also, I loved it, I thought good let him feel how it is to not have her at his beck and call. I hated how much she was hurting, I loved her friend Jenn and that she encouraged her to get out there and meet other people. One of the best parts was when Tristan wanted to see Raina and she was not available, I think this was one of the wake up calls he needed. Lets just say that absence made the heart grow fonder, Raina discovers a truth about her job, this leads to a confrontation, which then leads to a revelation which was the best thing to happen for them. I loved the last chapter and the epilogue was perfect, a great way to wrap up a good series.
I was so glad that Tristan got his happy ending. I felt sorry for Tristan. Not only had he lost his mother at a very young age, but he also lost the only girlfriend he had ever had. He told Raina from the beginning he had a hard time with expectations for the future. After only a few months, she basically threw back in his face the fact that he wasn't good enough, even after all he had done for her family and her. She constantly complained when he bought her stuff, and even asked him to stop helping her dad. I mean the man is a billionaire and worked hard to achieve his success, and he WANTED to give her gifts. He certainly could afford it. As much as I loved Tristan, I just didn't feel the love for Raina. I thought she acted like a spoiled child and Never considered Tristan's feelings. He was kind, caring, generous, and showed he cared for her. Raina never even gave him a chance to let his feelings grow. Luckily he was persistent. He eventually opens up to Raina and admits he loves her. They get their happy ending. I really did enjoy this book, I just just got frustrated with Raina. It was a good series and one I would recommend.
I found that this book was much better than the last. We finally found out enough about Tristan and Raina to give them some depth and make them seem more real. This is feel good story when you don't want anything too long or detailed.
Just finished a two day marathon read of all three books. Story was enjoyable, but jumpy. Lots of "hot, steamy sex". Not much of a wrap up and I'm hoping for a book 4.
This was really good. I just knew Tristian had something to do with the job, that was a surprise. I was so rooting for him to get it together so they could be together.
A Quick Snapshot... Meet Tristan King and Raina Harding. They're different in all aspects of life: their work experience, their family structures, their social positions, and even their economic statuses. Yet, they experience instant chemistry together, and their passion quickly consumes them. Can two people from separate worlds develop a relationship without expectations? Or, are they mismatched and incompatible in every way? We all know that relationships require work. And, Tristan and Raina are no exceptions to that rule. Expect them to encounter obstacles and stumbling blocks along their path to (possible?) happiness...
What did I love most about this series? Tristan King, of course!!! * His clean-cut sex appeal and undeniable confidence was a real turn-on. * He was a billionaire Alpha: persuasive, possessive, commanding, and in control. * He was a knight-in-shining armor: strong, loyal, protective, and fierce. * He had a big heart, and his actions spoke louder than words.
But what made Tristan stand out among other BFF's? Tristan was a sensualist, not a dominant. Everything he did was directed toward a woman's pleasure and satisfaction. He was an attentive, well endowed lover. He took an unique approach in introducing Raina to BDSM...
"This is all about sensation, my Queen. Trust me. I don't do pain. Not in any real sense, and only to elevate your arousal." ~ Tristan King
Overall, The "Year of the Billionaire" series was an enjoyable, quick read. The three installments had a ton of spicy sex and some BDSM. I liked Tristan and Raina as a couple and was happy to see their characters mature and grow. I also enjoyed the side stories that involved Raina's parents and Tristan's father. My Rating: 4 Stars
After completing the first two books in this series, I just had to finish the 3rd book. Even knowing what Raina was thinking about ending things with Tristain, sad as it was I had to read it anyway. I was really hoping that it was only going to be temporary.
So after getting the release of her mom, Raina had to get on with her life, and to do that she had one thing to do, unfortunately for Tristain she felt that they both didnt want the same thing out of their 'relationship', so she thought that letting him go would be the best for everyone.
She eventually found herself a new job, which was more than meets the eye! She settled in very nicely and started to really enjoy her job.
Raina then finds herself being whisked away for a weekend after an unexpected meeting. He takes her to Chicago where we find out that he takes her to places that meant things to him before his mom passed away, and she gets to meet his dad, and hits it off with him very nicely! We all get to learn more about Tristian and why he is like he is, we learned more about His Secret (from part 1).
Then Raina finds out about the connection between the bookshop owner and Tristain, and she is mad to put it lightly! after surprising him by getting his penthouse all ready for Christmas, she then high tails it to his place, ready for yet another confrontation, and this time things take an unexpected turn, they bothget their Happy Ever After!
That was an amazing reading. I am actually quite shocked. I downloaded the first book for free, like many other series re billionaires, and did not expect anything special. Guess what - I was wrong. K.C. is a very talented writer. I was consumed by the story development and the relationship between Raina and Tristan "without any expectations" (sometimes though just wanted to smack Tristan for being so blunt). Spent my whole Sunday reading all three books of the series. Loved it.
"I love you, Raina. It still scares the devil out of me, but I swear I love you. Without limits, without conditions, and with every glorious expectation that my life is by your side."
"We joined together in an act of willful forgetting. Our bodies slid past the valleys of doubt and the shadow of fear into a place so filled with light that it warmed away all angles. We were made into a circle, eternally without beginning or end."
"I love you. I love you now and I'll love you more tomorrow and all the tomorrows after that."
I was hesitant starting this book because I knew at the ending of book #2 Raina was going to break things off with Tristan. I can say that when things came to a head it didn't go down how I thought or even how Raina thought it would. Tristan really is not willing to bend and that is no kind of relationship. As any love story they ending up back together but it had it's limits and there was no future really since Tristan insisted that there are no expectations. You will have to read it to see if Tristan truly falls in love with Raina and if he does can he lay it on the line for her. Lots of juicy sex, some BDSM nothing crazy. Fabulous ending.

After the first two books in the series, I thought it would be predictable, and indeed the ending was satisfying if expected. In the meanwhile, it looked for a moment like another love interest for the MC was being introduced, so it kept my interest in spite of thinking I had foreseen the end.
I particularly like Ms. Falls' deft hand with the erotic scenes. Some are tender, some rough, but all are hot without being crude. This book is well worth the read for those of us who enjoy erotica, but pick up the first two in the series first, otherwise you'll be lost in the plot of this book.
The kidnappers finally contact them with their demands. It is up to Raina to deliver the ransom money. After awhile Raina's mother walks through the door. She gives as much detail as she can to the police and the FBI but it will be up to Tristan's men to continue the search for the kidnappers. Tristan can't do forever so Raina says goodbye to him even though it is the hardest thing she has ever done. Will they get back together? Will Tristan work out his issues with expectations if a future?
this book was OK. i got sucked in by the free book 1. total cliff hangers. had a very "pretty woman" type feel. and did no one else EVER wonder about her BEST FRIEND?! In the beginning of book 1 it talks about them living, working & going to school together and how how hard it was going to be to be away from each other. they even say they were "weaning" off of each other since were gonna be living separate. yet no mention of calls, texts, emails or ANYthing to/from her!!
I read all three books in this series over the weekend and couldn't put them down.
This is definately a fantasy (like most)... middle-class, unknown girl meets rich billionaire, hot, guy.... but then, a really cool story.
Overall a this is a story about some self-discovery, mending of fences, and facing the unknown. The sex was hot and it didn't feel like you were reading the same events over an over.
It was a very easy read, and I recommend the entire series highly.
This three part book is exactly that it feels like one book split into three. The book is well written although be warned the sex scenes are explicit. I don't think of myself as prissy and generally don't mind explicit sex scenes in the right context of the story. This book was no different however I did find the use of language unnecessarily smutty. Without this I would have given the book a better rating but I felt that it detracted from the story. Still not a bad read.
This book was pretty good actually ... Better than the previous ones i might say. It was interesting to discover his past and his relationship with his mother and after that with his father, it made it easier to understand a little bit his behavior but the story itself is not that amazing. I mean, yeah, it's ok to read in one weekend when you want something to kill the free time, but it's not something i would reccommend to all of my friends to read (like a must have).
This book took you through the epic event of her mothers return. Tristan continued to contemplate through a series of events whether his feelings were something he could risk all the walls he had put up to protect himself, and everyone he cared about. Raina had decided maybe she should leave fate to decide whether Tristan was really the right choice. You will love book 3. Another KC Falls book that didn't disappoint. Onward.
Keeping His Promise delivered the perfect combination of mystery, love scenes, and growth of love and respect between a couple. Unlike many romance novels, the couple did not fall hopelessly in love over a short period of time but the time span was more relatable and realistic. Couldn't put it down.
So Raina kinda redeemed herself but not much. Tristan truly stole the show in this book. I liked how we got to see his past and what truly shaped the man he had become. He became a new man for her but kept all his best character traits. I wish there was more of an epilogue but otherwise this series was an easy, hot and sexy read.
Yep I liked it. Very easy to read and the suspense at the end of each book made me want to read the next book. I also enjoyed the love scenes. I especially liked that Tristan was dominate but not a "Dom" like bdsm books he was real in his love making.
Ok I'll start by saying I loved this book as well as the other two, the story had me hooked and I couldn't put it down. My only wish was that the story could've went on, I feel like Tristan and Raina's story isn't finished.
Awesome set of books. I liked how everything came together in the end. I knew the Grandfather (Mr. Clemson) had to be Tristan's Grandfather, although Boyd threw me there for a second. Loved the books. Def a good read!
The 3rd book in this erotic series. They are all short, quick reads. Tristan and Raina's love continues to grow and overcome their obstacles. I am happy with the ending. I wonder if there will be more?
I really enjoyed reading this story. It had substance to it as well as hot sex. So many books I have read recently has pretty much been hot sex and very little substance to the story. The characters fit well together, Tristan grabbed my heart. Well done!
I kinda wanted a bigger revelation considering how many books I had to read to get them to admit that they want to spend the rest of there lives together and all the things they had went through together.
This is definitely my favorite of all three books. I am really glad that Tristan opened up about his past and how he became who he is. I also think Raina is stronger and more willing to stand up for the people she cares about.
