Catching Frogs

Rate this book
There's the old saying that you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince. And for twenty five year old Marnie Cummings, that adage has rung true. She has kissed many, and is currently dating Liam Angström, a tall, blonde, hot Swede investment banker. But still, she isn't feeling "it", whatever it may be. Then Marnie meets Lauren, her best friend Kendra's future sister in law. Feelings stir inside of her that she has never experienced, and Marnie wonders....Maybe it wasn't her prince she was searching for this whole time?

Author of debut young adult novel, The Morning Star, and an MA novel, Catching Frogs. And, because I'm loco in the roco, I've got about 28 more on the back burner. When I'm not writing I can be found kayaking, hiking, ninja-training, traveling, and taking a ferry over to the San Juan Islands to search for the elusive creature known as the "Orca." I also am constantly adding ridiculous wants, needs, must-see's and do's to my ever expanding bucket book.

This short story chronicles Marnie Cummings’ venture to the wild side, so to speak. After a relationship where she wasn’t sure what she wanted, she meets the future sister-in-law of her best friend. The twist for Marnie is that Lauren is a lesbian. This causes Marnie to question things she thought she knew and to experience new feelings that she never knew she had. In all honesty, the book isn’t bad, but it just didn’t appeal to me. The writing is good, it’s just not a book that I, myself, would purchase a sequel to (if there were one).
